Abstract

Culex spp. is a vector for Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and filariasis in Indonesia. JE is caused by Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV). JEV attacks the central nervous system and causes inflammation of the brain, lifelong disability, and even death. Filariasis is a chronic infectious disease that can cause permanent disability. Transmission of JE and filariasis can increase due to the density of Culex spp mosquitoes. The purpose of this study was to identify the distribution of mutation variations in the Voltage Gated Sodium Channel (VGSC) and acetylcholinesterase-1 (ace-1) genes in Culex spp. mosquitoes in Surabaya. Mutation variations of the VGSC Culex spp. gene show that there are three genotypes, namely wildtype (LL), heterozygous (LS, FS), and homozygous (FF, SS). Heterozygous (FS) and homozygous (FF, FS) genotypes caused by point mutations in codon 1014 of the VGSC gene are found in the Culex spp. mosquito population in Surabaya. Heterozygous (LF) genotype was not detected in the Culex spp. mosquito population in Surabaya. Another study in Nigeria showed that homozygous/FF genotypes (45.1%) were more prevalent than heterozygotes/LF (36.3%) and wildtypes/LL (18.6%).

Abstract

This study investigates the phenomenon of "Meme Marketing" and its impact on the consumer behavior of Generation Z on social media. The research focuses on the characteristics, classification, coherence levels, and format evolution of memes, as well as their role in marketing strategies. Meme characteristics, such as fidelity, fecundity, longevity, and additional elements like relevance, ease of replication, uniqueness, and humor, are identified as key influencers on meme dissemination. Meme classification involves four types proposed by Knobel and Lankshear, along with considerations of genre, format, and media, providing an overview of meme diversity. The transformation of meme formats, from single images to GIF videos, reflects adaptation to trends and social media technology. The role of memes in marketing strategies goes beyond brand awareness, becoming a source of innovation in the cultural industry. Humor, as a key element, plays a crucial role in attracting attention and creating appeal for consumers. Meme virality factors, such as relevance, iconicity, humor, and format, require effective embedding and distribution strategies. In the context of Generation Z consumer behavior, memes provide satisfaction in entertainment, social interaction, and information. Media factors, including embedding and distribution strategies, are crucial for the successful dissemination of memes and consumer engagement. Applying marketing theory frameworks, this research offers both theoretical and practical implications for the development of effective marketing strategies in the digital era

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out reform of the law on the division of joint property divorce. 50-fifty provisions regarding the sharing of joint assets are often applied rigidly in accordance with the provisions of Article 97 of the KHI. The resulting output does not provide a sense of justice to the parties. This research is normative law with a substantive analysis approach to the provisions of Article 97 of the KHI. The results showed that the sharing of joint assets was regulating (regelen) not coercive (dwingon). In certain cases, this provision can be deviated by contextualizing it through the maqashid sharia approach to the substance of the case. The amount of the contribution of either party to the acquisition of joint assets and commitment to the sacred promise of marriage is a modifying element ('illat) in the case of sharing of joint assets. Maqashid shari'ah as an instrument in law making (istinbath) plays a very large role in this case, especially if the case presented is closely related to distributive justice where the elements of benefit and the purpose of the law are the main benchmark in seeking justice. Contextual reasoning and a substantive approach to the purpose of article 97 KHI by prioritizing psychological and contributive aspects to the case of division of joint property will make the article flexible. In the event that the role of one party is greater in the acquisition of joint property and there is an attitude of inconsistency of one party towards marital commitment, it becomes a ratio legis of reduced share of joint property of the former husband and wife.

Abstract

When the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that COVID-19 was upgraded to pandemic status, investors began to reconsider their portfolio structure from risky assets such as stocks to gold. This study aims to determine the stock performance of PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk during the COVID-19 pandemic. A quantitative descriptive approach by linking company financial statement data with the phenomenon of the COVID-19 pandemic is the method used in this study. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the performance of PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk before and during the COVID-19 pandemic on the dependent variable (stock return), namely the Current ratio, had a significant effect on Stock Return. However, based on the results of hypothesis testing regarding the effect of Earnings Per Share and Net profit margin on Stock Return partially, it can be concluded that these variables do not have a significant effect on Stock Return. Based on the conclusions above, the researcher recommends that the first company is expected to make the value of CR better in order to attract investors in investing their funds. Because if the company has a high CR value then the company can be said to have no constraints to pay its debts, thus many investors will be interested in investing in pharmaceutical sector companies and that can be very profitable for the company. Next is advice for those who want to invest in pharmaceutical companies, it is recommended to look at the CR owned by the company if investors want to make long-term investments.

Abstract

Learning loss is one type of learning crisis, which refers to the loss of previously learned competencies, incomplete learning at the grade level, and the numerous consequences of not mastering learning at each grade level. As a result, attempts can be made to address these issues through advancing information technology, particularly through augmented Reality (AR)-based learning technologies and artificial intelligence with machine learning. This study aims to create and evaluate the effectiveness of the mobile application "MathWiz" as an AR-based learning media for improving students' mathematical proficiency. The MathWiz program is designed in three stages: listen to customers, build/revise mock-ups, and customer test drives mock-ups. Many respondents from several universities in Bandung participated in this study. According to the results, MathWiz has four advantages: (1) it can display detailed objects and learning materials in real-time; (2) interactivity supported by sophisticated and accurate audio text, video, images, and animation features; (3) has the potential to improve students' mathematical proficiency, and (4) has the potential to increase students' interest in learning mathematics and reduce boredom. The results of this study show that learning mathematics can be made more entertaining and memorable through lecturer innovation.
