Abstract

The aim of this article is to Learn about the comparison between Jainism and Buddhism regarding belief and, ethical similarities, Both had the foundation of the Aryan culture and were propelled by the plain standards and the logic of the Upanishads, especially that of Sankhya-Yoga. Disregarding of God or a skeptical state of mind, negativity, or conviction that human life is full of wretchedness, the teachings of transmigration of the soul and Karma (activity or deed), and a kind of dualism between soul and matter are common to Hindu-Sankhya reasoning, Jainism and Buddhism. In this way, the source of the rationalities of both was the same in spite of the fact that both of them made certain changes in it, the research method is documentary. The information is collected in the form of documents. Finally, the research findings show that both were the products of intellectual, spiritual, and social forces of their age and therefore, both stood up as revolts against the prevalent Brahmanic religion.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejarah perjalanan KH. Hamim Djazuli atau yang akrab disapa Gus Miek dalam merintis Dzikrul Ghofilin yang sampai saat ini masih dilaksanakan setiap malam jum’at kliwon. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian historis dengan menggunakan metode penelitian literatur review. Adapun hasil yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Gus Miek adalah sosok fenomenal dan kontroversial. Ia bukan kiai “biasa”, ia kiai kembara yang menghabiskan banyak waktu di luar pesantren tanpa mengabaikan tugas pokoknya sebagai kiai pesantren. Di sepanjang hidupnya, Gus Miek telah mendirikan dua buah jam’iyah yang hingga kini diikuti oleh ribuan umat. Pertama, jam’iyyah amalan dzikir yang dinamakan Dzikrul Ghofilin dan yang kedua adalah semaan al-Qur’an yang diberi nama Jantiko Mantab. Dakwahnya pun lintas dari orang-orang pinggiran macam tukang becak dan pelacur hingga artis dan pejabat pemerintah. Menurut Gus Miek, Dekatlah kepada Allah..! kalau tidak bisa, maka dekatlah dengan orang yang dekat dengan Allah. Serta jadilah seburuk-buruknya manusia dimata manusia akan tetapi luhur dimata Allah SWT.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (i) the forms of handling cases of sexual violence against women by the UPTD PPA Makassar city, (ii) the inhibiting factors in handling sexual cases against women by the UPTD PPA Makassar city, (iii) the realization of the role of the UPTD PPA Makassar city in overcoming obstacles in Handling cases of sexual violence. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. It is carried out by reviewing data based on facts aiming to explore data and information sourced from the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of the city of Makassar. The results of this study indicate that: (i) The forms of handling cases of sexual violence against women at the UPTD PPA Makassar city are conducting assessments, case assistance, case management and case termination. (ii) Factors that hinder the handling of cases of sexual violence against women at the UPTD PPA Makassar city are the lack of openness of victims, uncooperative families of victims, limited human resources, especially psychologist counselors and legal advisers and the difficulty of evidence in cases of verbal sexual violence. (iii) Realization of the role played by UPTD PPA Makassar city in overcoming obstacles in handling cases of sexual violence, namely building partnerships with other institutions, improving service quality, optimizing outreach and providing safe house protection for victims.

The role of the Sega Mubeng community in the midst of the people of Yogyakarta has had a very positive impact. This study discusses the role of the Sega Mubeng Community, what activities they carry out and also the response of the people of Yogyakarta to the existence of the Sega Mubeng community. This research uses field or qualitative research and also uses Peace Theory by Johan Galtung to find out the Role of the Sega Mubeng Community in Building Social Engagement in the Community.

Abstract

This article focuses on Classic Marxism and Neo-Marxism. Classic Marxism originated in the early socialist era, inside the socialist labour movement, and specifically among its organizations and political parties. And Neo-Marxism Updates Marxist principles to account for the state of the world economy today. It rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s as technologists demonstrated that capitalism's policies stifled growth and widened the wealth gap between the North and South. In this paper, the authors tried to do a comparative analysis of classic Marxism and Neo-Marxism in the International Political Economy (IPE) system.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to find out how the government's efforts are in dealing with the dangers of radicalism and terrorism in Indonesia. Terrorism is an extraordinary crime that can endanger the security and safety of the people in Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive-analytical method. This method is used to describe the findings of the problems studied and then analyzed. The conclusion of this study is that the government has formed an institution called the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) whose job is to prevent, deter and at the same time take action against acts of terrorism to maintain national security. Then the government pushed for soft power efforts by means of deradicalization. This approach is expected to be able to change the mindset of terrorist convicts who were initially against the state to become pro-state based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Abstract

In a recent paper published in 2020, Alex Malpass & Wes Morriston discuss the difference between beginningless past and an endless future and try to show that beginningless series of past events and an endless series of future ones are in the same boat. So if (as they believe) an endless series of events is possible, then the possibility of a beginningless series of past events should not be rejected merely on the ground that it would be an actual infinite. I will show in this paper that Malpass and Morriston’s refutations are flawed and that their argument does not provide any evidence that a beginningless past is possible.
