Abstract

This research aims to explain the issue of economic weakness from the perspective of al-Qur'anic tafsir by presenting the interpretations of scholars, and provide perspectives on economic empowerment by Islam and the government. The background of this topic is the increasing poverty rate in Indonesia with data from the Central Statistics Agency that in December 2022 increased by 9.57 percent. The economic weakness is divided into two, namely natural and structural. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with thematic interpretation analysis. The results of this study show that the Qur'an is concerned about the economically weak through Zakat, while the government has implemented various support programs for the poor, such as the National Safety Net (JPS), low-interest loans, and others. Weak economic conditions can occur naturally with weak natural resources and physical deficiencies. Structurally, economic weakness is caused by imbalance of power, unavailability of jobs, low education, and abuse of power. The Qur'an provides a solution so that the economy must rotate to all levels of society, it should not rotate only in the environment of the rich and rulers. Suggestions for future research to be able to examine the issue of economic weakness with a broader perspective and to include other terms that lead to the issue.

Abstract

Interpretation of the meaning of the Qur'an is a study that is relevant to the present era, mufassir circles and intellectuals examine in detail the verses of the Qur'an with their respective styles of interpretation and methodology. Researchers also feel it is important to examine the meaning of the word khusyu' in terms of adabiyah or literature written by a female mufassir known as bintu syathi', the background and how the methods are used in interpreting verses about khusyu' contained in the Qur'an. The research method used is qualitative with the type of library research (library study) which is descriptive-analytical with a maudhu'i (thematic) approach. The data collection technique used is documentation. The analysis technique uses content analysis (content analysis). The result of this study is that the interpretation of the lafadz khusyu' in the book Al-Tafsir Al-Bayani Lil Qur'anil Karim shows that Bintu Syathi' draws several verses that explain the meaning of khusyu' into 2 parts, namely in the sense of khusyu'nya for believers because of the truth of faith to Allah and the Last Day, as stated in sura al-Baqarah: 45, Ali Imran: 199, al-Anbiya: 90 and al-Isra': 109 and al- Mu'minun: 2. Al-Ahzab: 25, al- Hadid:16. In addition, the meaning of khusyu' which means humility and humiliation, humiliation and fear is meant for infidels who do not believe in Allah SWT, namely in surahs Al-Nazi'at 8-9, Al-Ma'arij 43-44, Al- Qalam: 43, Al-Ghasiyah: 2, and Al-Qamar: 7.

Abstract

Islam religion embraces in all aspects of natural life and everything in it, even to the end of the day. This study contain interpretation of QS Al-Anbiya: 107 according to various interpretations from scholars. so that the meaning of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin is often assumed as special feature that distinguishes it from other religions. This study aims to find out the meaning of the interpretation of Rahmatan lil 'Aalamiin contained in QS. Al-Anbiya: 107. As well as to discuss how concept of Islam in the view of commentators. This research use library research whose activities are carried out by analyzing literature from textbooks. The method used in data collection from Miles and Huberman consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Analyze the data with descriptive qualitative which shows the results of study that: 1) Rahmatan lil'alamin is a mercy given to all creatures so that humans must respect one another to be able to achieve prosperity in life. 2) Islam is religion of rahmatan lil'alamin, meaning that Islam is the last religion revealed by Allah of the universe to manage the entire universe with grace and compassion. So that the grace obtained by the Prophet Muhammad SAW has an impact on his people.

Abstract

The study of the figure of the Prophet Isa is always interesting to study. The discourse that emerged was not far from basic questions, for example: Did Jesus die on the cross or not? From that question, the author intends to explain Isa in the text of the framework of the Koran along with its interpretation from two different perspectives: insider (Muslim) and outsider (non-Muslim). In this study, the authors involved two interpreters, namely, Sheikh Nawawi and Karel Steenbrink. This paper is a literature review (library research). The research method used is descriptive-analytical and comparative. To describe this study, the author uses the maudhu'i approach, which means an effort to collect verses related to the theme of the discussion and then analyze them. As a result, Sheikh Nawawi's interpretation is more reductive and static without critically and strictly sorting the information presented in his interpretation. On the other hand, Karel Steenbrink elaborated on various relevant sources so that he could produce new meanings based on critical questions.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the various forms of communication of da'wah bi al-Lisān in the Koran. This article is based on a literature review or library research, using qualitative methods. The analytical approach used is content analysis and is described using descriptive analysis methods. The research results show that there are five types of bi al-Lisān da'wah communication contained in the Al-Qur'an. The five types of da'wah communication are communicating with correct words (qaulan sadīdan), communicating with eloquent words (qaulan balīghan), communicating with noble words (qaulan karīman), communicating with easy words (qaulan maisūran) and communicating with good words. gentle (qaulan layyinan). All of these communication patterns can be implemented in everyday communication according to the context, conditions and interlocutor. This research is limited to studying various types of communication from an Al-Qur'an perspective, so future research needs to perfect this study by discussing effective communication in an educational environment from an Al-Qur'an perspective through more comprehensive methods and approaches.

Abstract

Literature is believed to have a special appeal for the majority of people from all nations, including Arabs and Indonesians. The Al-Qur'an, which uses noble literature, was translated using literary language by H.B Jassin. His thoughts attract the attention of writers because they transmit literature to literature. This study aims to describe the verses of An-Naba from 1-7 in the perspective of the translation of the Noble Readings by H.B. Jassin. This study uses a descriptive analysis method without using statistical figures, the source of the research data is from Tafsir Noble Readings and Surah An-Naba. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Personality of H.B. Jassin who became his motivation to write the translation; 2) Ijmali and Tahlili methods are used to analyze and collect data; and 3) The language style of this Noble Reading translation is in the form of poetry, different from the translation of the Ministry of Religion. This translation of the Noble Readings does not change the meaning, meaning and content of the Qur'an at all, it's just that the difference is in the language style and sentence structure used by H.B. Jassin. H.B.'s goal Jassin wrote his translation solely to make the verses of the Qur'an very beautiful.

Abstract

There must be no spelling, grammatical or expression errors in the language used. Indonesia is a plural country, but most people still do not realize and understand the concept of tolerance which results in harmony. The proof is that there are still conflicts between religions such as in East Java in December 2021, in Brikang Village, Menganti sub-district, Gersik, Central Java on April 10, 2022, even 50% of utterances on social media contain intolerant values. This arises because of the lack of understanding of the Muslim community, especially of the content of the Qur'an about the importance of tolerance. The purpose of this research is to examine how the content of tolerance verses in Al-Azhar and Al-Misbah commentaries, is then contextualized in the life of Indonesian society. This research method uses a qualitative method of thematic literature study. The results of this study indicate that Hamka and Quraisy Shihab in Qs. Al-An'am verse 108, QS. Al-Mumtahanah verse 8-9, QS. Saba's verse 25 states that insulting, reviling, and discriminating against non-Muslims is despicable behavior. Both of them allow associating with non-Muslims with the rules: not to criticize their beliefs, not to discuss the shortcomings of beliefs in front of them directly, associate with polite language, questions that are not offensive, associate if it provides inter-religious benefits, and does not bring madharat. However, it is still with the limitations that can be associated as long as they are not hostile and do not expel from the homeland.

Abstract

This research aims for parents in particular to learn lessons from Luqman's story, namely regarding the concept of early childhood education in Q.S Luqman verses 13-19. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers used observation and interviews. Based on qualitative research methods, all facts, both written and verbal, from primary and secondary data sources are described as they are and then studied to be reduced as concisely as possible to answer the problem. In this research, it was found that Q.S Luqman verse 13 explains about aqidah education for young children which includes teachings about monotheism, namely the belief in the oneness of Allah and the prohibition on associating partners with Him, whereas in QS. Luqman in verses 14-15 explains to young children the morals of being filial to parents. Then Q.S Luqman verse 16 is about matters of education that saves with worship and pious deeds and is emphasized in Q.S Luqman verse 17 that seeking knowledge is something that must be prioritized in carrying out worship, so that you can have akhlahkul Karima and not have akhlah mazuma as explained in Q.S Luqman verses 18-19.

Abstract

The Qur’an was revealed in the midst of an Arab society with its own culture and language. The heterogeneous conditions of the society cause linguistic differences and dialectics. The problem that arises is the differentiation of abilities between individuals and groups related to language, especially Fusha Arabic. For this reason, the Prophet said, “Verily, the Qur’an was revealed with seven letters, so read the easiest”. One view of the meaning of the Hadith is that the Qur’an was revealed with seven languages and dialectical varieties. This research uses a qualitative method with the type of revelation text study included in the literature study. The result of the research is that qira’at began to be organized into a discipline by Abu Ubaid al-Qasim by compiling the work of the book of qira’at, which collected twenty-five qira’at. The differences in qira'at are divided into two, namely uhsuliyah rules; standardized rules in the reading of each Imam and farsy al-huruf; differences in typical readings that exist in each Imam and narrator. The difference in qira’at in farsy al-huruf mostly gives implications in interpretation. Suggestions for future research can examine aspects of qira’at in more depth through historical aspects and implications of interpretation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the recognition of two word roots that can refer to the concept of marriage in fiqh literature, namely the roots of the words “zawaja” and “nakaha”. The aim of this research is to examine and map every term and meaning contained in every verse of the Koran which contains these two word roots to find the meaning of the term marriage in an Islamic perspective through the text of the Koran. The research method used is qualitative design with the aid of Nvivo 12 Pro as a supporting application for analyzing and categorizing these verses. The results of this research reveal that there are eight terms found through tracing all the verses containing these two word roots in the Koran, four terms constructed to the concept of marriage, namely the term prohibition in marriage, the term ethics in divorce, the term marriage regulations and the term of marriage’s lessons. Apart from that, there are also four other terms which are not correlate to the concept of marriage, namely the term signs of God's power, the term stories of wisdom, the term various rewards and other laws.
