Abstract

The large number of the workforce is unemployed because apart from the lack of employment, there is also a lack of taking advantage of opportunities and a lack of skills. These conditions make them look for alternatives to get income in accordance with the capital they have. Therefore, they decided to become street vendors. The purpose of this research is to find out the problems faced by street vendors and the solutions to these problems in order to encourage the improvement of the merchant's economy and people's welfare. In addition, this study aims to determine social capital that influences the existence of street vendors. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The results obtained in this study are the need for empowering traders by the government in order to support and enhance sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Coffee culture among young people is often an activity that is seen as commonplace in modern society. Get together with friends while discussing simple and relaxed topics. Even at this time, cafes and angkringan are places to stop for young people when doing activities outside the home. Balanced with the growing sophistication of technology as a medium for distributing information as well as breaking into the space for innovation in global competition. Developments in technology and social media make it easier for young people to communicate, exchange ideas, and access the latest trending information. This condition then supports the coffee culture to be increasingly recognized by the public at large because of technological developments that have given rise to various social media, people are able to efficiently obtain information regardless of distance and time. This has an impact on young people so that it creates a consumptive mindset and behavior and forms a new lifestyle. In this research, researchers used qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach to analyze the image of young people formed as a result of a shift in coffee culture. The results of this study indicate that the image of young people who drink coffee today is constructed by the views of society. However, this view cannot be used as a reference in shaping individual social status.

Abstract

Revocation of PT. X carried out by the Financial Services Authority, this is because PT. X was unable to meet the solvency ratio set by OJK. The high difference between liabilities and assets is an accumulation of losses due to the sale of products similar to a saving plan. PT. X sells fixed yield products that are not matched by the company's ability to obtain returns from managing its investments. these conditions were engineered by PT. X so that the financial statements are not in accordance with actual conditions. So that the OJK ordered a stop to the marketing of products similar to a saving plan, imposed a warning sanction and then a restrictive sanction so that the OJK revoked the business license of PT. X on December 05, 2022. So from this the author is interested in discussing dispute resolution related to the rights of customers of PT. X which has experienced losses in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program or PKH is a conditional cash assistance program that is given to families who have very low incomes. What is needed is involvement in pursuing education and health. PKH in Indonesia was founded in 2007, to reduce poverty and improve low family welfare. This study aims to determine the impact of PKH on family welfare in the Mayangan Village, Probolinggo City. With this type of qualitative research and descriptive qualitative approach. Observations, interviews, and documentation are data collection techniques used in this writing. To test the credibility of the data or trust in the data, namely using the triangulation method and increasing the persistence and adequacy of references. The results of this study indicate that there is an impact of PKH on increasing family welfare in the Mayangan Village, Probolinggo City, namely there are two positive and negative impacts. From the positive impacts obtained, namely, reducing the burden of spending, increasing children's education, improving family health, changing behavior and independence of poor PKH recipient families. Meanwhile, the negative impact arises from the implementation of the Harpan family program in the Mayangan Village, Probolinggo City, namely dependence on assistance provided by the government. In addition, it also creates social jealousy among local residents who do not receive PKH assistance.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has changed economic conditions as experienced by the communities in the tourism area of the Wurung Crater. The number of tourist visits that greatly determine their daily income affects their current economic condition. The pre- and post-Covid-19 pandemic economic mobility among the communities in the tourism area of the Wurung Crater has become the main cause or factor for the decline in community welfare. In conducting this research, the researcher used qualitative method. The data were obtained through observation, interview, and documentation. The research was conducted around the Wurung Crater tourism area, Bondowoso Regency, with the aim of gaining and digging information regarding the condition of the communities around the tourism area of the Wurung Crater before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Data analysis was carried out to determine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on several aspects and connect it to the social mobility theory which includes economic mobility. In addition, the analysis was also carried out to find out several other influences that have caused the communities to switch jobs or even have various other side jobs. It was known that it influences the economy and the post-pandemic condition of the communities in the Wurung Crater tourism area.

Abstract

This study discusses how to analyze the judge's decision on divorce in decision number 1954/pdt.g/2019/PA.Btm. then analyze the judge's decision to determine the cost of iddah and legal review of the divorce decision. The research method used is a juridical approach method based on legislation on religious courts and complications of Islamic law. Several factors lead to divorce such as differences of opinion, quarrels, arguments and disputes that cause dislike between husband and wife. In preventing divorce, it can be done by mediation, but if it does not find a middle point in the problem between husband and wife, it will proceed to a divorce trial in a religious court.

Abstract

Technological advances, unfortunately, are currently developing, which have a significant impact on all humans in this world. Changes in people's lifestyles that are currently being felt in everyday life have made people aware that technology and the internet are quite a significant influence on them. The emergence of the internet is enough to minimize difficulties and provide convenience for something you want to do. The use of the internet, which is dominated by Gen Z, actually brings about cultural changes, even the lifestyle of teenagers around the Sumbersari sub-district, Jember Regency. Thus, as time goes by, there are many interactions that develop from the community itself, such as patterns of communicating in the network, the development of digital businesses carried out by young men and women. The development of the times is increasingly making everything easier to reach.

Abstract

Every community has its own uniqueness in forming a tradition. The Sarang Tradition in Kejawan Village refers to the custom that is carried out continuously which then become a tradition that is always done by the local community when they are going to hold an event. The objective of this research is to investigate more deeply about the Sarang Tradition in Kejawan and its impact on the status of Tokang Sarang within the community. By using qualitative research method and conducting observation, interview, as well as using documentation as the data collection methods, it was known that the Sarang ritual in Kejawan has differences compared to rain repelling rituals in other regions. The implementation of Sarang ritual includes the recitation of the holy Quran and Shalawat, and the use of Blackstone (hajar aswad). If there are any mistakes during the process, then, the rain repelling ritual will not work as planned and it will also affect the ability and the community’s perception of Tokang Sarang. Tokang Sarang is required to do some other rituals to maintain their abilities from fading and to make them stronger. They hold power over the area they control and they also have a significant position within the community.

Abstract

The mystical stereotyped of Seblang ritual with an innacurate understanding spreads informations presented in the mass media. Some of people’s comprehension not entirely true because virtual space triggers people to realize that Seblang is a hideous ritual. Informations spread in the mass media make the reader not really understand with the intention of information provider. The comprehension of Seblang ritual as a hideous ritual will continue build people’s meaning construction especially in virtual space. Presentation of this paper researcher uses qualitative research with an ethnographic approach to explore stereotypes that spreads in virtual space regarding hideous mystical perspectives using simulacra theory.

Abstract

The theory used to look at the quality of friendship relationships is the theory of symbolic interaction, developed by George Herbert Mead and popularized by Herbert Blumer. In the theory of symbolic interactionism emphasizes the meaning that individuals give to social actions and the process of interacting with each other in forming social relationships. In a study on the effect of the number of Instagram followers of Hasanuddin University Psychology students Class of 2022 on the quality of the friendship environment, a quantitative approach was used through questionnaires given to respondents, which consisted of two variables collected, namely the number of followers Instagram (independent variable) and friendship quality (dependent variable). The sample used in this study is the Slovin formula and the margin of error is 10%, namely 55 students from a total of 121 Psychology students of Hasanuddin University Class of 2022 using the random sampling method. Based on the results of simple linear regression testing, it can be seen that the number of Instagram followers can cause a decrease in the quality of friendship relationships by 0.001 units. The follower count variable can explain the variable quality of friendship relationships by 0.3%.
