Abstract

This study aims at analyzing how the role of political communication in maintaining public confidence in the Prosperous Justice Party (Partai Keadilan Sejahtera) Constituency III Medan City. The research method used in this study is qualitative research. The results show that the role of political communication in maintaining trust in the Prosperous Justice Party (Partai Keadilan Sejahtera) Constituency III Medan City was going well where as a political commander was able to convey his political messages through the party and was able to be carried out by the PKS by running well by invites the public to dialogue and adjust with the community's educational background and give the contents of the message clearly and in detail so as to be able to arouse attention arousing interest and interest so as to have a strong willingness to accept the decision of the message. Besides that, in delivering messages to the PKS community, they directly approached religious leaders in District III of Medan City

Abstract

This research is entitled " Podcast Suara Puan Sebagai Sarana Literasi Digital Kaum Perempuan Melalui Platform Spotify ". In human life in various periods and periods, there will be different developments. Human development will make humans learn and observe more and more in their development. Many things can happen in human life. Including in the current pandemic era, humans have become more creative in communicating. One of the human efforts to be able to keep running one of the digital technologies that is rising and becoming a new trend during the pandemic is podcasts. Podcasts or broadcasts are a new form of entertainment in the form of audio formats and later can also be enjoyed in audiovisual form. A Podcast is recording. It contains conversations ranging from half an hour to an hour, covering interesting and specific topics. Usually podcasts are delivered in monologue, dialogue or in groups (multi-hosted podcasts). The method of implementing the research approach is through literature study, in-depth interviews and analyzing it using descriptive analysis techniques. From the results of the study, it was found that the Suara Puan podcast is one of the answers at the same time as new communication channels offered by various media to get information about women.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the effect of interpersonal communication of news staff on the quality of news in LPP TVRI North Sumatera. The sample used in this study are as many as 53 people, while the data collection by means of direct interviews guided by the questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted with t-test (partial test). From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that interpersonal communication has a significant partial effect on the quality of news. Interpersonal communication variables have a positive and significant effect on news quality on Television of Indonesian Republic (TVRI). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.387, which means that 38.7% of interpersonal communication variables can improve the quality of news. While the rest is explained by other variables not included as variables in this study

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan komunikasi persuasif dalam strategi marketing harmoni asri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kualitatif, informan penelitian ini adalah 2 orang karyawan perumahan Harmoni Asri dan 3 pengunjung perumahan Harmoni Asri. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Adapun hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi persuasif terlaksana dengan baik. Program-program yang telah dilaksanakan oleh kantor pihak marketing perumahan Harmoni Asri sendiri khusunya telah berjalan dengan intensif. Adanya komunikasi bottom up dari pihak marketing kepada atasan merupakan faktor yang mempermudah dalam bekerja, efektivitas komunikasi organisasi serta cara membangun komunikasi organisasi yang baik antara pimpinan kepada bawahan maupun sebaliknya di dalam tim marketing perumahan Harmoni Asri. Kalimat yang bersifat persuasif dalam pembuatan brosur dan spanduk untuk peningkatan strategi marketing sangat berdampak dalam pekerjaan tim pemasaran Harmoni Asri.

Abstract

This research entitled "The Influence of COVID-19 News in Online Media towards the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior of FISIP UDA Students 2018". This research aims at finding out the effectiveness of COVID-19 News in Online Mass Media in influencing Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors seen from aspects of Attention, Interests, Desires, Decisions and Actions / Behaviors of FISIP University of Darma Agung Students class of 2018. The population in this study is students of FISIP University of Darma Agung class of 2018 as many as 110 peoples consisting of two studies, namely Communication Science and Government Science. And then sampled using the Slovin formula into 33 respondents. Then a single table analysis and cross-table are performed to find out how respondents judge both variables. Furthermore, hypothetical testing was conducted to find out the relationship between covid-19 variables in online mass media and student clean and healthy behavior variables analyzed using spearman correlation formula. The correlation results looking at COVID-19 News in Online Mass Media towards Clean and Healthy Living Behavior obtained a significance value of 0.002 which means both variables are significant to each other. From the hypothetical test results obtained rho = 0.511 defines that the positive correlation, means that the higher the assessment rate of COVID-19 News In Online Media then Clean and Healthy Living Behavior is also improving. This rho value is also included in the category that is quite meaningful so that covid-19 news in online media can be quite affecting in the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior of FISIP Students of Darma Agung University class of 2018. Through covid-19 news in online mass media, it is able to influence the clean and healthy living behavior of FISIP Students of Darma Agung University 2018 to overcome the spread of pandemic diseases caused by covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Umumnya orang cenderung mengungkapkan pendapatnya berdasarkan penampilan fisik seseorang. Faktanya, mereka berkomentar tentang hal itu tetapi mereka tidak bermaksud seperti itu. Body shaming adalah sikap negatif menimbulkan kebencian karena orang-orang memberikan komentar buruk yang mengatur penampilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui resepsi penonton terhadap body shaming pada film Warkop Dki Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan model semiotik Charles Morris. Untuk mendukung analisis, peneliti menggunakan teori resepsi untuk menunjukkan adegan body shaming pada film. Data primer diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dengan studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang memiliki kecenderungan untuk menyatakan pemikirannya meskipun mereka sadar melakukan body shaming. Terlebih lagi, masyarakat masih menganggap bahwa melakukan body shaming adalah hal yang lumrah. Karena itu, banyak dari mereka yang tidak terlalu peduli dengan tubuh yang dipermalukan perilaku secara khusus digambarkan dalam film komedi. Membangun kesadaran masyarakat tentang body shaming itu penting. Oleh karena itu, banyak media perlu berpartisipasi untuk mendidik masyarakat, Khususnya dalam film komedi dengan meminimalisir adegan yang menggambarkan body shaming.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the communication strategies used by the Simpang Empat District Office in socializing the E-LAPOR! to the community in the district. The research subjects are apparatus of Simpang Empat sub-district, people who had received and had not received socialization. The object of research is the Communication Strategy in terms of Planning, Implementation and Evaluation and Communication Strategy Techniques which consist of Redundancy (Repetition), Informative, Persuasive, and Educative.Data collection techniques through research in the field using observation and in-depth interviews with research informants and using literature or documents that support the research. Data processing is done by applying a qualitative descriptive approach.The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the socialization efforts carried out by the Simpang Empat Tanah Karo sub-district have not been optimal, especially in the field of redundancy (repetition) techniques, namely repeating messages to the public, where there were still residents who have received socialization but often forgetton how to use the application. It was also seen that the Persuasive Technique has not been fully successful in influencing the community so that the benefits of this program have not been able to bind a large number of audiences/communities. Likewise with Informative and Educational Techniques which were still not implemented so that the public were not familiar and active by sending SMS to this application. In addition, the biggest obstacle to socialization efforts is hampered by the emergence of the Covid-19 Pandemic, so that efforts to disseminate two-way communication were temporarily halted following the Health Protocol Directive set by the Central Government. SimpangEmpat District should continued to launch its Communication Strategy by using various media such as banners, billboards, and banners which were still trying to introduced this program to stay closer to the community and can also use the Village Apparatus as an extension of the Sub-district's arm in introducing the E-LAPOR application ! to the Village community in Simpang Empat Tanah Karo District.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the extent of the communication strategy carried out by the South Nias Regency Tourism Office, and the participation of the people of Hilisataro Nandrisa Village in the development of the Gumbu Park Waterfall tourist attraction. This is considering the development of the tourist attraction has not been able to run. Although crowded with visitors, the available facilities cannot be said to be feasible at all. Previously, Gumbu Park Waterfall was listed in the Master Plan for Tourism Development by the South Nias Regency Government. There is also a research methodology that is used qualitatively, to describe descriptively the social phenomena that are explored and clarified. Selection of informants using non-probability sampling method by providing opportunities for members of the population to be selected as samples based on certain criteria, consisting of key, main and supporting informants, as many as 5 (five) people. Several field findings have answered the obstacles to the construction of Gumbu Park Waterfall, including: unclear land ownership status; no budget allocation from the village government of Hilisataro Nandrisa; and ineffective communication strategies. In conclusion, the communication strategy carried out by the Tourism Office of South Nias Regency as a whole cannot be said to be quite effective. In addition, the participation of the people of Hilisataro Nandrisa Village in the construction of the Gumbu Park Waterfall tourist attraction is still small.

Abstract

In accordance with Kotler & Armstrong's theory, explaining integrated marketing communication can form a strong identity of a brand to tie together and strengthen the message and image of a company, to produce consistency for a communication budget to be more effective, communication is getting better and its impact is an increase in sales. This study aims at determining the role of marketing communication strategies in increasing public interest in buying M-150 Products at Suzuya Supermarket, Medan City. The method used is descriptive qualitative, to explain and describe the phenomena occurred. The results of the study show that the sale of M-150 Products at SUZUYA Supermarket dropped sharply because it did not use Communications Strategy. This affects the buying interest of people who are less familiar with the benefits and uses of the product.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Peran Media TVRI Dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Media Di Sumatera Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran media TVRI Sumatera Utara dalam meningkatkan literasi media masyarakat di Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis data framing model Zhondang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Objek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang pihak TVRI Sumatera Utara dan 5 orang mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Darma Agung. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui penelitian lapangan yakni wawancara dan penelitian kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan data melalui Youtube Channel @tvrisumaterautara. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa TVRI Sumatera Utara sudah berperan dalam meningkatkan literasi media masyarakat di Sumatera Utara. Melalui analisis framing pada pemberitaan TVRI Sumatera Utara terlihat membingkai berita semenarik mungkin. Yang menjadi hambatan TVRI Sumatera Utara dalam meningkatkan literasi media Masyarakat di Sumatera Utara yakni SDM yang terbatas dan jumlah penonton TVRI Sumatera Utara yang berkurang karena TVRI Sumatera Utara yang bersifat digital. TVRI Sumatera Utara berusaha mempengaruhi publik dengan agenda setting.
