Abstract

This study dealt with the acquisition of Arabic grammar by several learners of Arabic as a second language at the Institute of Arabic Linguistics at King Saud University in Riyadh, where the students faced some difficulties in applying Arabic grammar. This study focused on five topics of Arabic grammar, including definitive and In-definitive words, Singular, Duality and Plural. By conducting a measurement test on 24 students at the Institute of Arabic Linguistics from 3 different levels, from which the researcher aims to know their cognitive growth in that grammar and know the factors affecting these grammatical chapters and suggest some appropriate solutions related to these grammatical chapters. After conducting a test and correcting the students' answers, it was found that distance learning did not hurt the acquisition of these grammatical chapters. It was also found that the presence of the dual form in the student's mother language does not necessarily mean the acquisition of these grammatical chapters faster. It was also found that the students' linguistic adequacy in these grammatical chapters is gradually growing.

Abstract

This study discusses the application and testing of the idea of Abdel Moneim Hassan Almalik, through the applied descriptive approach, at the Institute of Teaching Arabic as a second language. This paper dealt with the importance of each skill of the Arabic language for non-native speakers, as well as presenting and analyzing the idea and comparing the communicative attitudes in the idea with the communicative attitudes in the Sudan Open University series. A table was put in to compare the foundations and principles of the idea with the study sample. It also dealt with the presentation of the teaching steps with the notion, and this paper has chosen the students of the Institute of Arabic Language as a second language at the Open University of Sudan to experiment on them. The study revealed the importance and the possibility of applying this idea to various series of teaching Arabic, provided that it is a second language, besides focusing the idea on the skills as a whole, where none of the four skills is neglected. On the other hand, the teacher is trained to compose by writing advanced texts for each lesson. This model reinforces what he learned and is a foundation to build on. It helped the student remember vocabulary. At the same time, some began to ask questions stemming from the comparison between classical and Sudanese dialects. This resulted in the focus of this model on linguistic correctness.

Abstract

Currently, women play an indispensable role in social life. Many have positions of strategic importance. Their contribution is not restricted to the private domain but extends to the public sphere. Not insignificant numbers of people become leaders of organizations, social institutions, political parties, and even nations. However, it is regrettable that many religious leaders continue to place women in subordinate positions, particularly in religion and social life. This study examines the influence of the interpretation of the Arabic text in the Al-Quran on women's freedom of expression in the public domain. This study focuses on their right to join social institutions that help overcome the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. The question is, how does the Al-Qur'an view their freedom to express themselves in the public sphere? To answer this dilemma, we must first return the Al-Quran to its text as general meaning, then reinterpret it to fulfill a different context-appropriate purpose. The question is, how does the Al-Qur'an view their freedom to express themselves in the public sphere? To address this question, we must first return the Al-Quran to its general meaning before transforming it into another purpose that is appropriate for the context. As a result, the research employs linguistics as a science to evaluate interests from numerous angles.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the electronic educational facilities used in this era with the spread of COVID-19 around the world. This study uses a comparative descriptive with a qualitative approach. Therefore, all teachers and students must take advantage of the learning process via the internet or electronic means, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and so on. Each has advantages and disadvantages. For example, when we use Zoom and Google, we can call 100 people now, but we need stronger internet, but if we use WhatsApp, we can connect even to weaker internet, but we only call eight people. As for Skype, it is not unusual. As for Facebook and Instagram, most of their use is on social media, but we can create groups in it, like on WhatsApp, so we can send materials and work there, and we can see whenever we want. None of the above electronic means is better than the other because each has advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the antonyms present in Surah Al-Waqiah. It provides a general description of antonyms (al-Tadhad), the theory used in determining antonyms (al-Tadhad), and the classification of antonym types (al-Tadhad) found in Surah Al-Waqi'ah based on the perspective of M. Ali Al-Kuli. The study adopts a library research approach, using the primary data of Surah Al-Waqi'ah from the Quran and secondary data from books and articles on semantics and antonyms. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman technique, involving data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal six types of antonyms: mutadarrij antonyms (multilevel), juz'I antonyms (sections), imtidadiy antonyms (extensional or straight line), had (binary) antonyms, intisabiy (affinity) antonyms, and axis (poles) antonyms. However, from M. Ali Al-Khuli's perspective, Surah Al-Waqi'ah does not contain the antonyms of Antonim Amudi, Antonim Daairi, and Antonim Rotiby. The practical implication of this study is that every word in the Quran holds its aesthetic meaning.
