Abstract

Watchdoc Documentary as one of the alternative media in Indonesia, often shows the results of journalistick work in a documentary film.one of them is The EndGame documentary film which raises issues about the current KPK situation. Watchdoc courage in covering the issue in depth caused controversy in various circles. That’s what makes me interested in knowing the description of investigative journalism that implemented in the film. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing using the theory of eight elements of investigative journalism and four characteristics of investigative journalism by Santana (2003). From the results of this study, shows that Watchdoc’s coverage of the KPK issue has fullfilled all the characteristics and elements of investigative journalism. However, in its search Watchdoc does not emphasize the principle of cover both side or search for the opposite point of view. Watchdoc doesn’t present sources from institutional representative, Watchdoc only uses open statements from various press conference and news snippets that have been published. In conclusion, the documentary film focuses more on how and why it happened, not revealing what and who is the mastermind behind the issue. So, overall the results are still not clear enough to be called as a perfect investigative journalism, but rather lead to in-depth reporting with an advocacy jornalism perspective.

Pregnant patients experience various changes, both physically and psychologically. With these changes, pregnant patients are expected to be able to keep themselves healthy for the sake of smooth delivery. In the hospital, a spiritual guide provides psychological services, guides in performing prayers, and helps find solutions to the problems faced by patients. This service is very important as an effort to accelerate the patient's recovery, so a spiritual guide must be competent in his field. The ministry of a spiritual director has a very important role in the patient's recovery. In the communication process, including counseling relationships, there are two elements to body language. Therapeutic communication is communication that is planned and carried out to assist the healing or recovery of the patient. This communication is generally more intimate because it has a purpose, and focuses on the patient who needs help. when conducting Islamic guidance and counseling several methods and techniques can be developed, namely Ersyad Nafsiyah, Ersyad Fardhiyah, and Ersyad Fiah Qolilah. All methods and Islamic counseling guidance are delivered in the form of brief focused counseling, namely counseling in hospitals carried out by counselors in a brief manner. Communication that is more effectively used by spiritual guides is therapeutic. Therapeutic is an adjective associated with the art of healing. Therapeutic communication is communication that is planned and carried out to help the healing or recovery of the patient. This communication is generally more intimate because it has a purpose, focusing on patients who need help. spiritual guides actively listen and respond to patients by showing an attitude of acceptance and understanding so that they can encourage patients to talk openly about themselves. Abstract

A biographical film is a film that tells the life story of the character. There are many messages and values contained in biographical films, because they are taken from true stories. One of them is the film Guru Bangsa Tjokroaminoto. This film tells the journey of a fighter and pioneer of Indonesian independence, Haji Oemar Said Tjokroaminoto. The focus of this study is to find out the representation of masculinity from HOS Tjokroaminoto and how the impact of this masculine trait on film audiences, masculinity is the social role, behavior and meaning assigned to men. The masculinity indicators are taken from Deborah David & Robert Brannon's theory of masculinity, namely No Sissy Stuff, Be a Big Wheel, Be a Sturdy Oak, Give em Hell. This study uses a qualitative research method, while to examine the film using theAnalysis approach Framing from Zong dang Pan & Gerald M. Kosicki. The results showed that HOS Tjokroaminoto represented the masculinity of Be a Big Wheel, Be a Sturdy Oak, Give em Hell. However, the researcher did not find that HOS Tjokroaminoto represents the masculinity of No Sissy Stuff, because in his daily life he uses jarit cloth, while the jarit itself is identical to the cloth worn by women. The impact of HOS Tjokroaminoto's masculinity on film audiences is that some of the characteristics of HOS Tjokroaminoto's masculinity should be imitated by the current generation.

Abstract

Dieng has a long history until it finally became an area with the majority of the population being Muslim, even understanding Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah. This cannot be separated from the process of indigenizing Islam in the Dieng plateau by the Sayyids – which is an extension of Walisongo's struggle. Using this type of qualitative research with a critical-historical discourse analysis approach (Discourse-Historica Approaches/DHA), this study tries to explore how the indigenization of Islam was carried out by the Sayyids in the Dieng plateau. As for the results of this study, it can be concluded that based on the evidence contained in the grave sites and remains of the Sayyids; Sheikh Karim, Sheikh Ngabdullah Selomanik, Sheikh Adam Sari, it is said that they did the indigenization of Islam in Dieng in the XVI-XVII centuries. The strategy and understanding that has been disseminated to the community is what Walisongo has done, namely a cultural approach that compromises the meeting of culture and sharia as one thing that does not need to be contradicted, and instead collaborates. Then ideologically, the ideology that was spread was the understanding of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah which is still believed and practiced by the Muslim community in Dieng.

Abstract

Da'wah media is important as a message transmission that facilitates the delivery of da'wah messages in the form of good values. One of the print media that is used as a propaganda medium is novel. The novel Kambing dan Hujan written by Mahfud Ikhwan carries the theme of socio-religious life which is full of da'wah messages. The novel Kambing dan Hujan has two major premises in its story, the romance and upheaval of two people who in the story represent the horizontal conflict of two major Islamic organizational entities in Indonesia, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah. In addition to representing the conflict between the two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, the novel also represents ukhuwah islamiyah as a way out of the conflict. Through the study of the sociology of literature, it will examine and describe the representation of the message of brotherhood Islamiyah in the novel. This research is a type of library research, the method in this research is qualitative research. The results of the discussion show that in the novel there are three representations of the message of ukhuwah Islamiyah: 1) Ukhuwwah fi din Al-Islam, a brotherhood among Muslims. 2) Ukhuwwah fi Al-'ubudiyyah which is the brotherhood of all creatures in the sense of equality, namely equality in creation and submission to Allah. 3) Ukhuwwah fi Al-wathaniyah wa Nasab which is a brotherhood that is intertwined in descent and also of the same nationality.

Abstract

The Ansor Youth Movement is one of the largest youth organizations in Indonesia under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama, starting from the central, branch, and branch levels. GP Ansor of Pagubugan Kulon has a very important contribution to society in the religious and social fields. In addition, GP Ansor is said to be the most active youth organization in the village of Pagubugan Kulon because through its work program it can attract people to join the organization. This is evidenced by the increase in the number of members from only 2 in 2016 to 40 to date, consisting of 18 official members through PKD (Basic Leadership Training) and 22 active and unofficial members. For this reason, this study aims to determine the communication strategy carried out by GP Ansor of Pagubugan Kulon in increasing awareness of joining the organization. In this study, researchers conducted qualitative research using case studies that can be used to analyze personal life, history, behavior, organizational functionalization, social development, or family relationships. After doing the research, the researchers found that GP Ansor of Pagubugan Kulon used the communication strategy theory, namely the selection of communicators, setting targets, compiling information/messages, and selecting media.
