Abstract

Mathematics is a very useful subject in everyday life. However, mathematics is seen as the most difficult subject for students, especially students in elementary schools. Therefore, a teacher needs learning media that can be fun and motivate students in learning mathematics, one of which is Quizizz paper mode. Quizizz paper mode is used as a learning media in class so that mathematics learning is more interactive and fun for students. This study aims to find out whether the paper mode quizizz can improve students' understanding of number names and number symbols. Classroom action research is used in this study and 2 cycles are carried out in class 1 SD Darul Ilmi Medan. In cycle I, the average score is 78. In cycle II, the increase in students' knowledge in learning number names experienced a better increase than the previous cycle (cycle I). The average score obtained by students is 95. It shows that the use of paper mode quiziz can  increase students' understanding of understanding the names and symbol of numbers in mathematics. Besides that, students are also interested and motivated in the learning process using paper mode quizizz.

Abstract

Playing while learning is the principle of learning for early childhood through play skills making milk candy is a skill to observe in carrying out experiments and communicate it. In the learning process that is applied to children, educators can use learning methods that are set for children and children who are active in the learning process directly. Educators can apply it through the experimental method of making milk candy from simple ingredients and through playing this milk candy experiment educators can apply how to make milk candy and improve their ability to recognize the color, taste and shape of the milk candy. so that the child is able to name the various colors and flavors of the milk candy with the results of the simple experiment of experimenting with milk. This study uses literature study research from several journals and other books which provide sources of information that discuss milk candy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the bullying behavior of boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabung, the implementation of group guidance services in overcoming bullying behavior of boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan, the obstacles in implementing group counseling services in overcoming bullying behavior at boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Connections and ways to solve obstacles. This study uses a qualitative research type, with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of the study, namely, the bullying behavior of boarding students at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan for now is still verbal actions such as backbiting, slandering, gossiping and ostracizing friends, this behavior usually occurs continuously, the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan Teacher BK in SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan has carried out group guidance service activities in accordance with the needs of students who are in dormitories and those who are not in hostels as well with the theme one of which is bullying behavior which must be above fellow students such as: setting an example of good friends, setting an example so that students can control themselves, the obstacles experienced when carrying out group guidance and how to overcome these obstacles, lack of time when carrying out services and students' non-openness when conveying the problems they experience, how to overcome these obstacles is to try to talk alone with the student so he doesn't feel afraid when conveying the problems experienced by students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of individual counseling services to self-control of K-Pop fan students at MAN Pematangsiantar. The subjects in this study were three K-Pop fan students, the guidance of teachers and homeroom teachers. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that: 1) The implementation of individual counseling services to control K-Pop fan students is carried out like the implementation of individual counseling services in general and there is nothing special. The implementation also consists of three stages, namely the initial stage, the middle stage (work stage) and the final stage (action stage). 2) The level of self-control of students using K-Pop in the aspects of cognitive control and decision control is quite good but for the behavioral aspects of control it is still at a low level because in terms of behavior the controller is an external factor. 3) The obstacles in the implementation of individual counseling services are the absence of special guidance counseling hours, the incompatibility of the ratio of the number of counseling teachers with students and the students themselves who are reluctant to carry out individual counseling services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical reasoning and problem solving abilities using Superitem and Problem Based Learning models in the subject of Relations and Functions in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Seruway. This research methodology uses quantitative research with the type of research experimental research. Data collection was carried out using techniques: essay tests, interviews and observations. The population in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 5 Seruway in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, a total of 235 students. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-1 and VIII-3 of SMP Negeri 5 Seruway, each class consisting of 28 students. Hypothesis testing using Variance Analysis. The findings of this study are: 1) There is an influence on the reasoning abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught with the Superitem learning model on Relations and Functions Material for Class VIII SMPN 5 Seruway; 2) There is an influence on students' reasoning abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities taught using the Problem Based Learning model on Relations and Functions for Class VIII SMPN 5 Seruway; 3) There is an influence of the reasoning abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught with the Superitem and Problem Based Learning models on Relations and Functions Materials for Grade VIII SMPN 5 Seruway.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the smoking behavior of SMA Negeri I Air Batu students which continues to increase every year, which in the end will cause students to experience prolonged depression and then the impact on health is so very dangerous, which can damage the heart and brain for the students. culprit. For this reason, the role of counseling guidance teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Air Batu is needed to overcome this problem where the teachers make strategies to reduce the number of smoking behavior in students, the strategy is to hold outreach by presenting resource persons at the sub-district level, namely the Puskesmas, and the Polsek, In addition to this socialization, the school also continues to conduct raids for students who use cigarettes at school and if there are students who smoke, witnesses will be charged. The results of this study indicate that: First, the role of the counseling teacher in handling smoking students is 3: (1) the counseling teacher helps students solve student problems, (2) guides students, and (3) supervises students. Second, there are 3 obstacles faced by counseling teachers in handling smoking students: (1) teachers at school do not know about counseling, (2) communication between counseling teachers and parents or guardians of students does not run smoothly, and (3) BK teachers do not have special BK hours. Third, the strategies given by the counseling teacher in handling smoking students are 3: (1) communicate with each other and create a program such as outreach, (2) provide counseling methods in the form of media leaflets. The material in the leaflet displays more pictures about the contents of cigarettes, diseases caused by smoking and ways to stop smoking. (3) provide individual counseling to students with problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical communication skills by using generative learning strategies and Group Investigation strategies in Mathematics in class VIII of MTs Swasta Al-Washliyah 55 Serbelawan. This study uses a quantitative research approach with quasi-experimental methods while data collection is carried out using test, interview and observation techniques. The subjects in this study were students of grades VIII-A and VIII-C of MTs Swasta Al-Washliyah 55 Serbelawan. Hypothesis testing with T Test and Analysis of Variance. The results of these findings are: 1) There is an effect of generative learning strategies on students' mathematical communication skills in class VIII MTs Swasta Al-Washliyah 55 Serbelawan. Based on the results of the T test analysis, the value of t count = 21,846 and the value of t table at the level (α=0.05) = 2.052, then t count > t table; 2) There is an effect of the group investigation learning strategy on students' mathematical communication skills in class VIII MTs Swasta Al-Washliyah 55 Serbelawan. Based on the results of the t test analysis, the value of t count = 24,363 and the value of t table at the level (α=0,05 ) = 2,052, then t count > t table; 3) There is no effect of generative learning strategies and group investigation strategies on mathematical communication skills in class VIII mathematics at MTs Swasta Al-Washliyah 55 Serbelawan. Based on the results of the analysis of the F test, the value of F count = 0.018 and the value of F table at the level (α=0.05) = 4.020, then F count < F table.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematical communication abilities and find out what efforts can be made to overcome the mathematical communication difficulties experienced by students in prisms and pyramids teaching materials in class VIII-B of SMP Negeri 23 Medan, 2022/2023 Academic Year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were 27 class VIII-B students of SMP Negeri 23 Medan. The object of this research is to improve students' mathematical communication skills by applying the Think-talk-write learning strategy. The instruments used in this study were observation and tests. This study consisted of 2 cycles and at the end of each cycle a mathematical communication ability test was given. Before being given, the test is first validated to the validator. The results of the research in cycle I obtained that students who understood aspects of writing reached 77.78% (medium category), students who were able to understand aspects of representation reached 59.26% (poor category), and classical completeness in cycle I reached 74.07% (category Enough). The results of the research in cycle II showed that students who understood aspects of writing reached 88.89% (good category), and students who were able to understand aspects of representation reached 85.19% (good category), and classical completeness in cycle II reached 88.89% ( good category).
