Abstract

Students less fully aware of the existence of themselves as the next generation and the future of the nation reflection. Consciousness as an independent, full responsibility mature human yet fully visible in the figure of the students, so the motivation for achievement sometimes not realized. They are often seen involved in the demonstrations, fights, involved in the activities of political organizations, even unconsciously they entered in forbidden religious organizations. The sample of this research is the students of Communication Science FISIP Undip class in 2013 and 2014 with a sampling technique using proportional random sampling technique, which will take 15% of the number of students. The researcher conducted a sample calculation using the formula of Frank Lynch.1 The variable research are the Lecturer Communication Competence and Self-Concept of Student as independent variables, the Student Academic Achievement as the dependent variable. Based on statistical test by using Pearson correlation and multiple correlation using SPSS version 21 indicates that there is no relationship between the variables of communication competence of lecturers, and students’ academic achievement. It can be seen from the significant value of both variables showed the 0.784> 0.05. So Ho accepted and Ha rejected. Student self-concept variables are not related to students’ academic achievement. It can be seen from the significant value of both variables that showed the number 0.998> 0.05. Then Ho accepted and Ha rejected. From the results of research conducted by Erli Zaenal about the factors were associated with grade point of Third Semester Midwifery Student of Health Polytechnic Bengkulu, it is known that academic achievements are influenced by internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include intelligence, motivation, habits, anxiety, interests and so on. While external factors include a family environment, school environment, community, socio-economic situation, and so on.

Abstract

This research focuses from the uniqueness and specificity of traditional group communication in accessing online media. By using qualitative descriptive analysis the researcher reveal the phenomenon of Islamic behavioral pattern, behavior and practice of communication in traditional group. Theoretical studies were conducted by exploring theories about communication patterns, communication behavior and Islamic communication practices from various sources. The research method is done by appointing informants according to the criteria and objectives of the research and selecting groups of informants by purposive and snowball system. Primary data experience the process of reduction and presentation of data with Miles and Huberman analysis to get good data quality. This study resulted in the conclusion that there are two-stage communication pattern for certain types of communication, the centralistic communication pattern and the wheel network. There is a strong client-client relationship in this group. The relationship affects content and communication behavior in online media. A future recommendation for subsequent research is to focus on the traditional group communication behavior in business nd sales transactions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve awareness of the religious multivarians local information that constructed by the Pesantren. Improving the dakwah Pesantren by constructed the santri capacity improving the santri skills to conduct the news, features, public opinion, and the articles by citizen journalism. And the process of social construction of santri about radicalism of pesantren, according to four stages of social construction of mass media by Burhan Bungin; phase of construction materials prepare, phase of construction distribution, materials construction formation, and phase of confirmation. This research based on qualitative research method. Explaining and answering the questions of “why” and “how” of the research focus in this case study in The Hidayatul Mubtadi’ien Lirboyo Pesantren. This research used data from interview with editorial staff, pesantren, Al-Muttaqien, also from Radar Kediri and Stain Kediri. This project held on the three institution are collaborated to introduce the partnership between the researcher, civil society, and the economic society. The result of this research shows that during preparation phase of construction materials santri stood up for capitalism but still based on consideration of news quality and values. Santri distributed its construction weekly, to Middle-Class city readers. By citizen journalism santri made the construction about radicalism at pesantren formed by means of negative image messages about pesantren, which extended through construction of text and selection of news sources. This influenced by ideological factor and journalists closeness to police and intelligent sources. Confirmation phase occurred when Al-Muttaqien sent a protest letter to santri into the social media, which caused readers interaction.

Abstract

Basuki Tjahaya Purnamais one of governor candidates for DKI Jakarta 2017. As an incumbent, Ahok (his nickname) has been continued Joko Widodo, which was resigned after won the president election. Ahok had been governor candidate that got highlights in many headline news. This happens because his blunder when he socialized his program in Kepulauan Seribu. He made statement about Al-Qur’an and a part of moslem in Indonesia offended with his statement.One of qonsequences is the destruction of his image as the leader that can embrace the people accros their culture, religion, race and social status. John Fiske Television Codes Model mandated three steps of data analysis on scenes that appear in the Ahok’s debating performance within the last debate in the second season. First, the analysis found a reality construction by Ahok that displaying within speech. Ahok presents himself as populist leader and accepted by the society. A representasion in public debating showed Ahok accepted by ethnic groups and social in Jakarta who positioned to provide a solution to the problem of low and middle class. It displaying within ‘kotak-kotak’. Analysis of the ideology that reached based on reality and representasion by the author shows Ahok foundation of communication in the debate season is to using an emotional approach. This article will analyzeAhok’s perfomancein public debating fo governor election in DKI Jakarta in the second season. The researchers concluded such as accepted social classes, ethnic groups amd nationalism. Of the three ideologies, Ahok focused use nationalist leader as an attempt to construct the brand image of Ahok as a candidate during the Jakarta Governor 2017 in his strategy of political marketing. These results showed that Ahok is a leader who displays himself with nationalist leader.

Abstract

The expert agreed about the importance of communicating in education studies. Education studies department needs communication for liven up the class and learning atmoshave here as a dialogical mechanism, not only mechanism. The problem is the teacher as a central point in learning activities didn’t have aby skill to liven up the class atmosphere. They often failed liven up the class effectively because they failed in communicating. The communicating ability of teachers is an urgent aspect. The communication problem in education studies is not about important or not important, but it is about how the teacher in class create communication effectively. The effective communication’s learning in education studies need two way communication. Teachers and students must havethe same ability to communicate well. This article will explain deep review about the communiation between teachers and students in the islamic perspective.

Abstract

Dakwah in Islam is a divine task performed by each individual and collectively to its adherents. Dakwah has a goal to invite people to the path of goodness and instructions for obtaining happiness of the world and the hereafter. Practice dakwah that accompanied the business domination and cultural imperialism as did the puritans will only lead to dissociative interaction processes of intercultural, which leads to a clash of cultures, conflicts and contradictions. It is certainly far from ideal destination dakwah. Thus, the sociological aspect in the implementation of dakwah is also worth noting, that not only makes the community as an object, but also should pay attention to the community as a subject of dakwah. Which not only makes the community as an object, but also should pay attention to the community as a subject of dakwah. Side of the subjectivity of society is cultural identity. Implementation of dakwah should be accompanied by an understanding of the cultural differences that practiced by the community to find a third space that is dialogical in intercultural dakwah.

Abstract

Storytelling is the oldest art’s heritage that is now to be forgotten by a half of people. Though, storytelling need to be preserved and developed as one of good activity that can support social interests extensively. Storytelling is fun activity but people rarely do it. Society development and social changes seems effect on decreasing of storytelling activities, not only at home, schools, worship place, playground but also library.
