Abstract

Preventive maintainance activities are very important for manufacturing industries in order to maintain lifetime of their components/machines and to improve their performances. This research determines preventive maintainance schedules which minimize total cost and maximize reliability of components/machines. Some methods are already developed to obtain the schedule, exact method for example, has been used for many years. However this method having a drawback in the optimization process, in particular is model complexity, time consuming, and may lead to produce unfeasible solutions. Therefore, to overcome the problems, this research use another possible method namely Steady State Genetic Algorithm (SSGA). This research uses fitness function that is depend on Required Reliability which is stated by the company. In this research, SSGA is used to solve the problem of optimizationing in determining preventive maintainace schedule. This method was implemented to determine preventive maintainace schedule of Freeze Drying belongs to Pindad Cooperation. In this case, SSGA involed population size of 2,000 becauseit produces small variance solution and genetic cycle of 500 which produce convergent values based both on cost and reliability. According to the schedule, if the manufacturer would like to obtain machine reliability of60%, then there are not any maintaince avctivites requred during the period of 15 months. In addition, ifthe reliabilityof 80% required, then the company should perform replacement action on the first month and the tenth month. The company should alse perform maintainance activity on the fourth month with cost needed to do the actions is Rp 784,450. This schedule produces reliability for the machine of 68.71%.

Abstract

One important step in transportation planning is trip generation or trip frequency (trip production). Factors that influence trip frequency are income, family size, and vehicle ownership. One has to know the relationship between trip frequency and its factors by building the statistical model. The model is Multiple Linier Regression which the dependent variable is trip frequency and the independent variables are income, family size and vehicle ownership.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine gender differences in financial literacy among college students in Borneo Tarakan University. We use Multistage Random Sampling method. The research recruits 325 college student form Department of Management, Faculty Economic. The findings indicate gender differences function in different aspects of financial literacy. Female students are better literate than male student. The findings confirm basic concept of financial literacy in Compound of Interest and Inflation. In terms of level differrence the level 2 better literate than level 1 and 3, this confirm to all basic concept literacy. As for age differences, college students of 19-20 years old are better literate. Meanwhile, the results of college student with working experience are better than student without working experience in Compound of Interest and Inflation concept. However, we got different results on stock risk concept, college student without working experience are better literate than college students with working experience.

Abstract

Fish is an alternative to animal protein to meet the needs of various circles of society. This is evidenced by the contribution of fish proteins to animal protein consumption reaches 57% of Indonesian society. With the increasing demand for fish consumption in the community, then it needs to be made of fish farming as a source of fish supply. Tilapia fish (nila fish) is one commodity that can be developed for the domestic market and export. The problem that often arises is about the feasibility of fish farming itself, the lack of quality water to the source of fish life, and high costs necessary for the fulfillment of fish feed on a system of fish farming, because in general the price of fish food available in the market are relatively expensive. In this research, feasibility analysis tilapia fish farming with artificial feed is integrated with Aquaponics system in Ponggang Village, West Java. This research was conducted in the Ponggang Village, district Serang Panjang, Subang, West Java, namely to develop activities in fish farming to make fish feed artificial raw materials are easily obtained by the local community and with simple techniques, so the approach taken more towards rural communities, namely that the local community is able to apply and costs need to be incurred for the preparation of an integrated system of fish farming is also relatively small.

Abstract

Overall Equipment Effectiviness (OEE) is one of the way to determine the level of effectiveness of utilization of equipment. OEE is known as an application program from Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM). This study measured OEE is a performance value that is 52.84%. The study found that speed losses is one of the real issues, namely the value of idle and minor STOPPAGE i.e. 42.01% and this loss occurs due to several reasons such as waiting for the materials in the process and not the operator, so the recommended action is to strengthen supervision of employees, mainly machine operators. After doing research, calculating and analyzing the value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness of engine performance fette 3200 line 1, the factors that cause OEE values below the standard affected the performance score is 52.84%, the value of availability is 79.48%, the value of quality that is 97.89% for roots cause of the low value of OEE that occurred in PT. Bayer Indonesia in 3200 fette production line machine line 1 in the period January-September 2015 caused availability value, value performance, quality and value are still below standard OEE is 85%. Difference OEE values obtained under the standard is 41.04%. Propose strategies with the engine Fette 3200 to increase the value of OEE in order to suppress the downtime by pursuing a strategy of monitoring the machine operator so that the operator can do the job effectively, create standard ways of cleaning and setup time machine that not a lot of time discarded, do make to stock to part critical components so that no downtime high value.

Abstract

This Research in intended the Effect of manufactures electrical wiring low voltage. A problem that often occurs on the floor of the factory is the production of a quality mismatch on the cable NYM 2 x 1.5 mm2 will cause the occurrence of reduced demand from consumers and would harm consumers when menggunakanya. Bad results on the wire can not disconnect from the production process because the engine is one of the very important factor who fought in the quality of the wiring in the produce. As a result, the value of the isoaltor and the koduktor a cable can be a good or a bad fit with the existing machine settings. Usually many companies understand the appropriate combination in getting optimal results from the machine in karenakan costs incurred to figure it out pretty expensive. This would result in losses for the company in an amount large enough because the company would have difficulty fulfilling customer requests. For the optimal settings for analysis identifying the cable NYM using taguchi methods, alphabets experiment design and response Surface so that it can be done the calculation of total to quality cable compared with waste that should be the responsibility of the company due to the cable does not meet the specifications in the set (SNI). To conduct the process of identifying the need to know the data cable-owned waste terytama on cable cable NYM bestseller that is then compared with the waste before implementation to do the settings in the machine. Analysis to get the best quality on cable are rated based on a test of insulator using insulator tester and the conductor using the double bridge tester. From the results of the calculation of the optimum settings for it is known that machines with Speed settings pull 41 m/s Speed, Filling 33 m/s, and Speed Sheeting amounting to 29 m/s and the waste is reduced after implementation i.e. copper be 1458 Kg and PVC became 89,225 Kg in July 2016 which means tejadi decrease 41,375% in copper and 41,186% in PVC
