Abstract

AAS is also an important method that has the most extensive application in metal analysis. most of the determinations were carried out by thin spectrophotometry, therefore an experiment was carried out to determine the Fe content in multivitamin tablets using the atomic absorption spectrophotometry method has high selectivity and sensitivity. Standard solution preparation. Prepare a standard solution of Fe with a concentration of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 ppm, then read the absorbance of the standard solution on AAS. Sample solution preparation and absorbance measurement. Several tablets were put into a beaker and 7 ml of concentrated HCl was added working principle of atomic absorption spectrophotometry is based on the evaporation of the sample solution which will initially be nebulized to form a spray, then it will be desolvated to form a dry aerosol until it is evaporated and converted into free atoms.. Iron levels in samples using AAS can be found by measuring the intensity of the radiation that decreases after being transmitted. The reduction in radiation intensity is proportional to the concentration of the sample element in the sample being measured. By testing the t-test, it was found that the AAS instrument was more sensitive to low concentrations

Abstract

The potential well is a simple example that generally used to present an understanding of quantum mechanics. In this article, we used infinite spherical well model to evaluate the thermodynamic processes in a quantum Carnot engine. The energy of the particles depended on the value of n and l lead to complex calculations. For simplicity we used the φ100 and φ200 quantum states to determine work and efficiency of a quantum Carnot machine. The results obtained show that efficiency depends on the value of  which is the ratio of RC and RB.

Abstract

Health resilience refers to an individual's or a community's ability to withstand and recover from various health challenges and crises. Antibiotic resistance poses a significant threat to health resilience due to its impact on the effectiveness of antibiotics. The urgency of the issue of multidrug bacterial resistance in public health is a concern. The phenomenon discussed in this paper is related to the environment that becomes resistant to the antibiotic Staphylococcus aureus which causes high morbidity and mortality in animals such as chickens. In this study, there were three levels of antibiotic resistance based on clear zone media culture, namely resistance, intermediates, and sensitivity with each antibiotic totaling nine chicken cloacal swab samples. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of the significance of antibiotic resistance in S. aureus in three chicken farms in West Java Province (Bogor, Parung, and Sukabumi). This study used secondary data from previous studies and analyzed with nonparametric statistical methods using the Kruskal Wallis Test (One Way ANOVA). The results of the analysis showedalmost all gave a resistant response characterized by the absence of a clear zone in bacterial culture media treated with the same antibiotic in all chicken cloaca swab samples taken from farms in Bogor, Parung, and Sukabumi. Thus, resulting in the same resistance pattern. This indicates the pattern of the resilience of resistance in West Java is the same because the ecological conditions and living standards of the community are almost the same. These results may illustrate important concerns for the possibility of other regions in Indonesia having similar patterns of antibiotic resistance, so antibiotic use must adhere to appropriate guidelines to combat further antibiotic-resistant strains.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected human life behavior, starting from health, the economy to living habits, one of them is the rice consumption. This study aims to find out whether the Covid-19 pandemic can affect people's rice consumption, and what are the factors that can affect people's rice consumption before and during the pandemic. The independent factors studied in this study were harvested area, productivity, rice production, crime rate, and the ratio of household gas use, with rice consumption as the dependent variable. The data used is panel data for 2019 and 2020, from 34 provinces in Indonesia, which is one of the five countries with the highest rice consumption in the world. By using mixed linear models, the research results show that in general Covid-19 pandemic has not had a significant effect on rice consumption in Indonesia. Other facts also show that social factors, namely the crime rate during a pandemic, did not have a significant effect on rice consumption. However, this is different from economic factors such as productivity and harvested area which have a significant positive effect on rice consumption in Indonesia.

Abstract

With the crisis in fuel consumption, it is necessary to save fuel consumption by selecting fuel that is quite efficient. The aim of the research is to examine the fuel consumption patterns of vehicles in an area that experiences various weathers so as to determine the level of efficiency of fuel use. both from the factor of fuel type, distance, speed, temperature, to the weather. testing was carried out using the linear model technique, the Linear Mixed effect model, and the Anova mathematical model. The results of the analysis if the different types of fuel have a very large significant effect in influencing the fuel consumption of a vehicle. With all the approaches analyzed from the linear mix model, analysis of variance and linear mix random effect model, the results show that other independent variables such as average speed, distance traveled and ambient temperature do not have much effect on fuel consumption. Based on modeling results that has been done, it can be identified if fuel consumption is strongly influenced by the type of fuel used by the vehicle. Meanwhile, other variables such as vehicle mileage, average speed, and ambient temperature at the time of data collection did not show any significant effect on fuel consumption.

Abstract

White blood cells play an important role in protecting the body from various types of diseases, therefore blood tests are done to determine a person’s disease. Diagnosis of blood diseases is done by analyzing and counting the white blood cells in the blood. Optimal calculations and analysis of white blood cell are important, so research on white blood cell detection is a rapidly growing topic. Many detection methods are proposed using the existing segmentation techniques. In this paper, the detection method is proposed using vector operation approach instead general segmentation technique. From the experiments performed, it is shown that the proposed method can detect white blood cells on smear images. Further, this method extracts the nucleus from white blood cells well.

Abstract

A breakwater is an infrastructure that functions to dampen wave energy. To secure the area directly adjacent to the coast, an effective breakwater model is needed based on the analysis of the dissipation coefficient value ( ). This study aims to determine a good breaker model based on the  value using a ripple tank. The data analyzed were wave heights before and after passing through the breakwaters of the three concrete models whose arrangement was varied. The results showed that the breaker model that is effective in reducing wave energy is the Grooved cube model with holes arranged horizontally based on the resulting small reflection coefficient ( ) and transmission coefficient ( ) values and large  values

Abstract

Ultrasonic sensors are usually used to measure the distance to the object in front of it. It can be used to measure object distances accurately at a detection angle of 15 degrees to the sensor's normal plane and can be carried out up to a maximum distance of 4 m. Three ultrasonic sensors arrange in a triangular configuration can be used to determine the position of objects within the detection area formed by the three sensors. The sensors are positioned and the coverage angle is limited so that detection between sensors in the formation does not overlap or interfere with each other. In addition, using the position data for each unit of time, it is possible to find out the direction of movement of the object. Based on the above concepts, microcontrollers, data acquisition systems, and data processing systems can be used to measure the position and orientation of an object's movement in real time.
