Abstract

Early Childhood Education is an educational stage that has the goal of having fun learning for children, which is carried out in an interactive and participatory manner so that aspects of children's development can be more optimal in their development process. The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement results from the application of the storytelling method to the moral development of early childhood. This research was conducted in group B which consisted of 14 children. This study used the Kemmis and McTaggart class action research design. This study used class action research. The class success rate on increasing moral development through the storytelling method has reached 75%, so that research has achieved a high and satisfying success rate. Based on the results of these observations, we can conclude that the storytelling method is very effective if applied in learning to improve children's moral development. So to further ensure the moral development of the child, a storytelling method that is more interesting, interactive, and liked by children is needed.

Abstract

Literacy skills is an indicator of language development that must be possessed by early childhood. The literacy skills of children in TKIT Champion are still low, such as children who are not yet able to read their own names, find it difficult to distinguish between several letters. Through the letter ball game it is hoped that it can improve the literacy skills of group B children at TK IT Champion. This research is a class action research. The subjects in this study were children aged 5-6 years in group B class Syawal. Data collection techniques, namely observation and documentation, are then processed using a percentage formula. The results of this study indicate an increase in literacy skills through letter ball games. It can be seen from the success of each cycle, cycle I first meeting was 46%, increased at the second meeting to 54% and increased to 63% at the third meeting. In the second meeting, the child's literacy ability was 69% at the second meeting, 74% at the second meeting, and 86% at the third meeting. From the results of the research in each cycle that was carried out, it can be concluded that the letter ball game can improve the literacy skills of Kindergarten B children

Abstract

The absence of thematic board educational game tools motivates this research to train the literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years. This study aims to determine the development and feasibility of thematic board educational game tools to improve the literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) which adopts the Borg and Gall development stages. The results of this research and development are: 1) Development of the thematic board educational game tool through several stages, namely: a) seeing potential and problem identification b) research and data collection, c) product design e) product revision, d) validation and trial phase small scale and large scale. The results of the validation of the material experts prove 2 with a category is very feasible. The average media expert validation assessment is the very feasible category. The assessment of small class trials in the very feasible category, large-scale trials in the very feasible category. The average teacher response questionnaire is in the very feasible category.

Abstract

In the learning process, children's liking and knowledge are the main factors in learning that can improve development in children, dislike and ignorance are also inhibiting factors in the learning process and aspects of development in children. Through games with loose part media that have been arranged according to their age group to develop early childhood creativity. However, there are some preschools and level schools that still use LKA or magazine books, so children don't like it and seem monotonous. The author uses a qualitative type of research type of descriptive-qualitative research, with the subject of the study being early childhood. The results of loose part media game research can increase children's liking and curiosity in learning, so as to increase the idea of imagination, creativity, ease of children to understand, and freedom. So that learning that was previously monotonous and boring becomes more fun for children.

Abstract

Cognitive is one aspect that needs to be developed from an early age. To develop these abilities, it is necessary to make efforts, one of which is by using educational game tools with the fingers of expertise. This study aims to determine the development of cognitive abilities using APE. The development of cognitive abilities is given to children aged 4-5 years with a sample of 6 children. The research method used is using R&D (Research and development). Data were collected and analyzed using SPSS rocks with the Wilcoxon signed test. This test is carried out after the pre-test and post-test on the child and then tested. This study’s results indicate significant differences in children when they are given treatment and have not been treated. Thus, the development of this APE Jemari keahlian can improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital literacy in early childhood for children’s social and emotional development. Qualitative research was used and a case study was chosen as the research design. Data were collected by observing and recording learning activities in schools. Interviews were conducted with principals and teachers at kindergarten. Results of the study showed that digital literacy was carried out through learning analysis, learning design system, and evaluation. This study implies that teachers must have innovation and creativity in managing their learning, especially in the era of society 5.0. Digitalization could support the instructional needs based on the intended targets and generate students’ motivation and intelligence overall.

Abstract

Education in the era of highly rapid digital development is a challenge for educators. Technology development encourages teachers to reform teaching and learning process and create updated education. This research aims to develop a digital Pop Up learning media for cognitive development of children aged 5-6 year-old. This was Research and Development (R&D) research using Borg and Gall development model. The developed media was validated by two experts and categorized highly valid (98%) by media expert and valid (87.5%) by material expert. Result of limited tried out involving 10 students of group B was 80% and categorized valid. Based on the finding, digital Pop Up media was effective as an interesting learning supporting means and appropriate to the development of 4.0 revolution era.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic has changed all aspects of people’s lives in Indonesia, including the early childhood education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of tutoring activities by young people in villages to improve children’s learning motivation amid pandemic era. This was experimental method of quantitative research. Purposive sampling technique was used to choose the sample. The instrument to collect the data was observation checklist and the data were analyzed using Wilcoxon test. Results showed that during pandemic era, learning tutoring activities by the young people in rural area was effective in improving children’s learning motivation. Thus, environment has a positive effect on motivating children to learn through appropriate games in tutoring activities.

Abstract

The 5.0 industrial revolution era requires people to have competency such as critical thinking, problem solving, innovation, collaboration, and communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of a project-based STEAM learning approach to develop the skills of early childhood in this 5.0 era. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation. Triangulation was used for data trustworthiness and data analysis referred to Miles and Huberman’s. Results showed that STEAM project-based learning can be used to develop various skills of early childhood by connecting elements of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics and applying some strategies including reflection, discovery, application, and communication in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of interactive multimedia on religious moderation attitude in early childhood. The research used quasi-experimental method. One group pretest posttest was chosen as the design of the research. Data were collected by using checklist observation and analyzed using t-test. Results showed that religious moderation attitude in early childhood was increased by applying “Kids Moderations” interactive multimedia in learning process. Therefore, multimedia can be used as a tool to introduce religious moderation attitude since an early age and prevent intolerance as a root of radicalism in the future.
