Abstract

The objectives of this research are: To find out the participation of BKI students in increasing the interest in studying prospective students at the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Department of IAIN Lhokseumawe. In order to know the obstacles and challenges of students in promoting the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Department of IAIN Lhokseumawe. The method in this study is to use a type of descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data collection methods using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are: first, the participation of Islamic guidance and counseling students in increasing the interest in studying prospective students at the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Department of IAIN Lhokseumawe, that student participation in increasing interest in study can be called active participation, active participation carried out by students in the form of participation in the implementation of explaining the majors to family, high school friends and the community in the neighborhood where they live. As well as social participation, which is meant by socializing, making video profiles of majors and activities, in this case, students work together in the success of the activity. Second, the obstacles and challenges of students in promoting the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Department of IAIN Lhokseumawe, namely: students experience barriers to lack of student capability about majors so that promotional communication when explaining is hampered or ineffective, obstacles are lack of support from the academic community for the promotion ambassador program for majors and in This research finds the challenges of students in explaining the BKI major to people who have difficulty understanding this major.

Abstract

One of the factors less successful learning process in the classroom is that lecturers are less innovative in applying learning methods. Lecturers still use the classical method of discussion. For that, a learning innovation is needed by applying problem solving methods. The study used quasi experimental design. The research population is medan aviation polytechnic cadets amounting to 40 cadets consisting of 20 people control group and 20 people experimental group. The data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The statistical analysis used is Pearson ProductMoment to test validity, Cronbach'sAlpha to test reliability, Lilliefors to test normality,Levene's to test homogeneity, and t test and to test differences and effectiveness. Based on the results of the difference hypothesis test using independent samples t test,critical thinking ability data shows the value of tcalculated>ttable (3,740 > 1,998) with a level of significance (0.000 < 0.05) and the value of cadet learning results shows the value of tcount>ttable (3,656 > 1.998) with a significance level of less than 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05). Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness hypothesis test using one sample t test,critical thinking ability data showeda table >ttvalue (5,724 > 2.037) with a significance level of < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) and a cadet learning value showing a>ttable t value (6,009 > 2,037) with a significance level (0.000 < 0.05). So, it can be concluded that there is a difference in critical thinking skills and learning outcomes between those who use problem solving methods and those who use discussion methods. Problem solving methods are effective in improving critical thinking skills and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of the relationship between self-esteem and verbal abuse in teachers. The data collection instrument used to measure self-esteem and verbal abuse was a Likert scale. Self-esteem is measured based on aspects of self-esteem, namely strength, courage and virtue, on verbal abuse it is measured based on forms of verbal abuse, namely saying harsh words, slandering, threatening, scaring, insulting, exaggerating the mistakes of others. . The study population and the sample of this study were 33 respondents. The data analysis used is Simple Linear Regression Analysis. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between self-esteem and verbal abuse at the coefficient R = -0.467 and p = 0.003 means (p <0.05). This means that there is a negative relationship between self-esteem and verbal abuse behavior in teachers, so that the lower the self-esteem, the higher the verbal abuse.

Abstract

Learning motivation is anything that can motivate students or individuals to learn. Without learning motivation, a learner will not learn and ultimately will not achieve success in learning. Therefore researchers use information services through the reward and punishment method in order to increase student motivation during online learning. The population in this study were all class VII students of SMP RK Deli Murni Deli Tua a total of 131 students. Then the determination of the sample was carried out by purposive sampling, namely as many as 30 students. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires pre-test before treatment and post-test after treatment. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. Based on the data management carried out, the average pre-test value = 71.3 with a standard deviation of 71.46 with details of the medium category of 1 person or 3.33%, the low category is 29 people or 96.67% while the average post-test value = 94.63 with a standard deviation of 94.95 with details of the high category of 2 people or 6.67%, the medium category is 28 people or 93.33%. It is proved by testing the hypothesis of the research that the t test value is 5.04 and t table 5% level is 2.045 (t count 5.04 > t table 2.045). Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there has been a change in students' learning motivation during online learning for class VII at SMP RK Deli Murni Deli Tua.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of modeling technique content mastery services on the academic resilience of students at Amir Hamzah Medan Private Junior High School Period 2021/2022.  The method used in this study is a quantitative method.  This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test group design.  The subjects in this study were 22 grade VIII students who had low resilience.  The research data were collected with an academic resilience scale totaling 40 statement items that were valid and reliable.  Instruments are given before and after the implementation of content services.  The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to see if there was a significant effect of providing modeling technique content mastery services on students’ academic resilience.  This can be obtained from the calculation results with the initial test score (pre-test) in the experimental group obtained an average = 109.4 while the post-test data obtained an average = 135.4.  This can be obtained from the Wilcoxon test which shows that the Wilcoxon level test is obtained Jcount = 115 while Jtable = 66. From the critical table J for the Wilcoxon marked level test for n = 22, = 0.05 according to the criteria for acceptance and rejection of the hypothesis, the hypothesis  accepted if Jcount > J table where 115 > 66, from this calculation it can be seen that the treatment in the experimental group means that the hypothesis is accepted.  This shows that there is an influence of modeling technique content mastery services on students’ academic resilience at Amir Hamzah Medan Private Junior High School. Abstract

Abstract: The low attendance of BK teachers to school, the low level of attendance of BK teachers at MGBK, initially there were face-to-face hours to enter class because they were considered not to have a positive effect on BK services in schools. The purpose of this study is to innovate through the LOVE strategy to find Ikagai in BK teachers. The research method used is literature study and field observation. The results of the innovation of coaching BK teachers through MGBK at SMKN 1 Solok Selatan, BK teachers began to find ikagai in themselves as BK teachers, this can be seen from having started wanting to take part in seminar activities to increase competence as BK teachers in order to provide the best service to students foster.

Abstract

This research aims to : (1) find out the description of career advancement of students in school in general and in terms of gender variables (male and female) and majors (IPA and IPS) (2) aswell as formulating Guidance and Counseling programs related to maturity Student careers in class XI 15 Medan 15 High School in Academic Year 2017/2018. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The sample in this study was 68 students of class XI SMA Negeri 15 Medan with sampling taken by simple random sampling lottery method. Data collection techniques used in this study were to spread the questionnaire and then analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis methods. Furthermore, the results of this study indicate that: (1) career maturity of class XI students of SMA Negeri 15 Medan in terms of gender variables (male and female) indicating that men were in the very high category of 6 people (29%), 11 people (52%) were in the high category and 4 people (19%) were in the medium category, while the female gender variable was in the very high category as many as 20 people (43%), 26 people (55%) including in the high category and 1 person (2%) included in the medium category. the career maturity of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 15 Medan in terms of the majors variable shows that students majoring in Natural Sciences are in the very high category of 14 people (44%), 16 people (50%) are included in the high category, and 2 people (6 %) included in the medium category, while social studies majors were in the very high category as many as 12 people (33%), 21 people (58%) included in the high category, and 3 people (9%) were included in the medium category based on the data above, (2) formulated Guidance and Counseling programs that contain annual programs, semester programs, monthly programs and weekly programs related to the career development field with the sub-field development of student career maturity in schools.

Abstract

Adolescence begins to encourage individuals to shape their body image, including the male gender. However, the influence of social media in comparing themselves with other individuals greatly affects the concept of body image they have. The study was to determine the relationship between social comparison and body image of male adolescent social media users in Makassar City. The participants of this study were male adolescents aged 12-22 years and were social media users in Makassar City. This study uses a scale adapted from The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ) Users' Manual-Third Revision by Cash (2000) and an Upward and Downward Psychological Appearance Comparison scale from O'Brien (2009) which was adapted and developed by Setiawati (2020). This research was tested using the Spearman Rho data analysis technique. The study found that there was a negative relationship between social comparison and body image in male adolescent social media users in the city of Makassar (p = 0.012, r = -0.209). This study illustrates that the higher the social comparison, the lower the body image of male adolescent social media users in the city of Makassar. This research can be a reference and information about the negative and positive relationship of social comparisons in terms of appearance on social media to the body image of adolescent males in Makassar City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group services using self-instruction techniques in overcoming the boredom of learning in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Banjarbaru. This study uses an experimental quantitative research method that examines the effectiveness of group counseling services with self-instruction techniques on the learning saturation of class VII students of SMP Negeri 9 Banjarbaru, the measurements were carried out twice, namely before and after being given treatment with a measurement tool using a questionnaire/questionnaire and the subject in this study were seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Banjarbaru. After the research was conducted and the results obtained from the implementation of the self-instruction technique group counseling service intervention to students who had a high level of learning saturation. For this reason, the intervention was given to students with a high level of learning saturation and with group counseling service interventions using self-instruction techniques.

Abstract

Indonesia, sebagai negara multikultural dengan suku, agama, ajaran dan paham yang beragam berpeluang membuka kesempatan bagi berbagai paham untuk memengaruhinya. Dunia pendidikan menjadi salah satu target penyebaran benih bullying yang sangat potensial. Paham bullying cenderung mengabaikan aspek keragaman (uniformity) dan meniadakan kebhinekaan (plurality). Kondisi psikologis remaja merupakan masa yang rentan dan sensitif terhadap pengaruh lingkungan. Pada masa ini, remaja identik dengan masa pencarian jati diri dan adanya keinginan untuk memantapkan filsafat hidupnya. Layanan bimbingan konseling merupakan salah satu layanan dalam dunia pendidikan yang sangat strategis dalam menanggulangi penyebaran benih bullying. Layanan konseling melalui konsep multikultur dinilai sangat diperlukan dalam membentuk pribadi remaja yang mampu untuk saling menghormati dalam setiap perbedaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menunjukkan bahwa konseling multikultur merupakan salah satu cara menumbuhkan sikap beradab peserta didik sehingga tidak terjebak pada pemahaman yang salah terhadap perbedaan.Kata Kunci: konseling multikultur, bullying
