Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' literacy skills using picture story books in Indonesian language learning class IV SDN 90 Palembang. The problem in this study was to determine students' literacy skills using picture story books. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used observation of the homeroom teacher of class IV.B and students of class IV.B, documentation in the form of photographs during the research, interviews with class IV.B teachers and students of class IV.B and questionnaires which were distributed to 33 students and documentation of students reading picture story books in class. The result of distributing the questionnaire was that the average result of the questionnaire respondents was 98.29%.. On average, the whole can read and understand picture story books fluently, but there are not a few students who are not yet fluent in reading or still spell words, especially 3 male students who are still spelling when reading picture story books. Abstract

Digital-based learning media is a medium used to create audio-visual media. Digital media is very suitable for use in social studies learning in the 21st century. In the 21st century students are expected to be able to master 21st century skills with the 4C concept of communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creative and innovative. The objectives of this study are 1) Knowing the steps for implementing digital media in 21st century social studies learning, 2) implementing digital media in 21st century social studies learning, and 3) evaluating the implementation of digital media using SWOT analysis in 21st century social studies learning. The research method used is qualitative by using the results of data analysis in the form of qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the research can be seen in the SWOT analysis which shows that the advantages of implementing digital media in social studies learning really need to be applied in the 21st century. Weaknesses in this study can be seen when observing students' attitudes in social studies learning on local history material regarding the role of local figures in fighting for Indonesian independence. Most of the students are still a lot preoccupied with themselves so that the center of attention is not fully paying attention to the future. In addition, it is a challenge for students to be able to express opinions and be more active. Opportunities in this study indicate that digital media is effectively used in the 21st century as a learning medium. Keywords: Digital Media, IPS, 21st Century.

Abstract

The title of this study is The Effectiveness of Creative Writing on Students’ Descriptive Paragraph Writing Ability at the Elevent Grade Students of SMAN 11 Palembang. The formulation of this study the effectiveness of creative writing on descriptive paragraphs against the writing abilities of students in class XI SMAN 11 Palembang. The writer used a pretest-posttest consisting of an experimental class and a control class, meaning the writer selected the group to be randomly studied to find out the differences between the two groups. Students of Class XI IPS 3 and XI IPS 4 are selected classes to be used as samples, each consisting of 35 students. The data collected was taken from a written test. The average pre-test score for the experimental class was 64.25, whereas the post test score was 70.08, as well as the average pretest score in the control class was 63.51 while the posttest score was 64,00. Results from the two groups above showed a positive response to the student’s ability to write descriptive paragraphs. The results of this research showed that creative writing on student writing ability had a low score at the time of the pretest. After treatment, student writing ability improved significantly. It can be seen from higher student scores than before. Data from the writing test had a positive result against student creative writing in their writing ability. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out teachers perception on the implementation scientific approach steps in teaching reading at Senior High School 2 of Tungkal Jaya. The method of this study was qualitative descriptive method. The techniques of collecting data was using interview, observation and documentation. To analyze the data, the writer used thematic analysis. From the research that had been done, the result of the study were: (1). Based on the observation, the researcher found the teachers only applied some of the five steps in scientific approach. They only did observing, questioning, associating and communicating. They sometimes did only questioning, associating, and communicating. (2). The researcher concluded that the teachers’ perception of the Scientific Approach is a concept where the teacher only a facilitator and student-centered. The scientific Approach makes students understand the material by implementing observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and communicating. Abstract

This research is intended to know and analyze the teacher’s perception toward the use of dialogue in improving English communication at PGRI senior high school of Pagaralam. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documents were used to collect data in this research. Sources of data used by researchers are interviews and questionaires used talks with teachers. because of that researchers get accurate information about what was done during the activity and find out the results of these activities using the data types and data sources described. The results of this research indicate that conversational learning using dialogue could improve communication, and students' motivation to learn English.   Keywords: Perception, Dialogue, English Communication

Abstract

 This research uses descriptive research methods. The data source used in this research is the novelette Dalam Mihrab Cinta. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the intrinsic elements of the work consist of a calm religious theme because it discusses natural religious issues, the message conveyed by the author is in the form of a moral message that we should not slander people because slander is an act that is very detrimental to ourselves and others, the plot used in the novelette In Mihrab Cinta this is a mixed plot because the series of stories are interconnected with each other, the story characters are Syamsul Hadi' and Nadia. Other figures (extras) are: Pak Kiai, Burhan, Pak Bambang (Syamsu's father), Bu Bambang (Syamsul's mother), Nadia, his two older brothers, Pak Abbas, Silvie, Dalmayanti, Pak Broto, Della, Pak Heru, Silvie's father , Pak Anuar, Pak Utsman, Bu Heru, Doddy Alfad, Mas Budi, The setting of the novelette Dalam Mihrab Cinta is in several places, including, at Islamic boarding schools, at home, Central Java, Upper Semarang, Jakarta, at the mosque, Villa Gracia , Flamboyan 19, Flamboyan 17, in front of the house, at Kediri Police Station, Cipuput market. Setting time: noon, before Asr, ten minutes, ten minutes later, already one week, next week, that afternoon, one year, one month, one year, in the evening, Asr, Maghrib time, Sunday morning, end of last month, five o'clock afternoon, Bakda Maghrib, the next day, the last day of the month of Shaban, the holy month of Ramadan, after Maghrib, the 8th of Rahmadhan. The results of this study are expected to provide information and benefits to other writers in writing literary works.

Abstract

 This development research aims to produce animation-based media with swishmax applicationsthat are valid and practical for grade 4 elementary schools. This study uses development researchor research and development. In this study the number of subjects was 22 students. This mediawas developed using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design,Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out with documentation, validation questionnaire sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. thisresearch produces animation-based media with the swishmax application which is a learningmedia in the form of animated image media. The data analysis technique is carried out byanalyzing validity using a validation questionnaire sheet addressed to experts, and analyzingpracticality using a student response questionnaire. The results of data analysis of animationbased media development with the swishmax application on the material motion of objects carried out and developed by researchers are categorized as very valid from the validation questionnaire sheet with an average of 92%, animation-based media with the swishmax application on the material motion of objects developed is categorized as very practical from the aspect of teacher response with an average of 91.7% and small group questionnaire sheets in trials with an average value of 93.45%. Based on the results of validation and trials, it is concluded that this animationbased media with the swishmax application is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is what is the self-efficacy, mental load, andlearning motivation of students at SD Negeri 1 Berkat? The purpose of this research is todetermine the self-efficacy, mental load, and learning motivation of students at SD Negeri 1Berkat. This research method uses qualitative methods. The main subjects of this research areclass V students at SD Negeri 1 Berkat, while the accompanying or supporting subjects in thisresearch are class V teachers at SD Negeri 1 Berkat. Data collection techniques are observation,interviews, and documentation, data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation,and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it was found that the self-efficacy ofclass V students at SD Negeri 1 Berkat as a whole was classified as having sufficient selfconfidence. The students of SD Negeri 1 Berkat were able to complete their assignments on time,although overall there were still some students who were not able to do so (a small portion). SDNegeri 1 Berkat students have confidence in being able to complete their assignments at school.Apart from that, from the results of interviews regarding students' responses regarding selfconfidence, students at SD Negeri 1 Berkat stated that they lacked self-confidence, but there were also those who stated what aspects of the beliefs they meant and were doubtful about these beliefs. From the results of the interview, it was found that SD Negeri 1 Berkat was confident that they could complete the assignments according to the desired target, and tried as hard as possible to complete the assignments that had been given based on the students' self-confidence. The results of the research show that the mental condition of class V students when participating in the teaching and learning process at school is in the good category.

Abstract

 Technology has become a part of human life. Almost all aspects of human life now use technology, especially the use of computers. With the increasingly massive era of computerisation like this, humans must be able to start understanding computer algorithms even from an early age. Computing can not only be introduced to computer subjects, computational thinking is a thought process based on computer science but can be applied in other disciplines. This study aims to determine the effect of smart board counting media on addition and subtraction material on computational thinking skills of grade 1 students at SD N 177 Palembang. The method used in this research is experimental research method. This study used the Pottest-Only Control Design research type. This design conducted two classes to measure the ability of computational thinking on addition and subtraction material of students of class 1A and 1.C SD N 177 Palembang. In this research, the data collection techniques used were documentation, observation and test. The results of the study stated that the results of the hypothesis test of the posttest data of the control class and the experimental class obtained the t value of 6.130 and the t table value of 1.675 with α = 0.05 and df = 51, then t count = 6.130> t table = 1.675. In accordance with the prerequisites of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted or there is an effect of counting board media on addition and subtraction material on the computational thinking skills of grade 1 students at SD N 177 Palembang

Abstract

Online games are games that use electronic media in the form of multimedia which are madeas attractive as possible so that players can get something so that there is inner satisfaction. Theaim of this research is to determine the impact of online games on students' social attitudes. Theresearch method that the author uses in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Datacollection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the researchshow that students are able to implement social attitudes, even though there are still those who use online games at school, they still practice various aspects of social attitudes, such as aspects of discipline, students are able to come to school on time, and students are disciplined by obeying the rules. is at school. Schools are expected to provide infrastructure that can improve students' social attitudes and the school can also direct students to more positive activities.
