Abstract

The Bukit Naga area is an area that has recently attracted the attention of the wider community, because it is alleged to have quite large gold potential.  People flocked to the area to carry out gold mining activities. In order to get an overview of the impacts arising from gold mining activities in the Bukit Naga area, research was carried out on the influence of gold mining activities on the socio-cultural conditions of the community and their environmental conditions, as well as solutions to solving the problems encountered.  The research was conducted using the literature study method for data collection.  Data analysis used descriptive-qualitative method.  The results of the study describe that gold mining activities carried out in the Bukit Naga area have an impact on the socio-cultural conditions of the community (security, health, conflicts of interest in doing business, and local community culture) and environmental conditions (changes in the bio-physical environment, disruption of the ecosystem, reduced and loss of flora and fauna, occurrence of erosion, landslides and floods, as well as environmental pollution). From a legal perspective, the mining activities carried out are illegal activities, which are contrary to and violate the applicable laws and regulations. Problem solving solutions offered: conduct preventive law enforcement, proposing the Bukit Naga area to become a WPR facilitate recommendation and licensing of gold mining business, equipping the community with good and environmentally friendly mining activities and good coordination and collaboration of all parties in managing and utilizing the Bukit Naga gold mining area.  Keywords: Bukit Naga Area, Gunung Mas Regency, Gold Mine

Abstract

Kapuas Regency is an area in Central Kalimantan Province which has natural resource potential in the form of various mining materials, including coal. This study aims to determine the characteristics of coal found in Kapuas Regency, in Katanjung area. The research method used in this research is calculating and comparing the results of coal testing with the standard classification. Laboratory analysis results on coal samples showed a total moisture content of 9.66%, volatile matter component of 35.23%, calorific value of 6980, ash of 14% and solid carbon of 48.66%. To determine the coal rank in the study area, the average calorie value of coal 6,908 was converted and compared with the ASTM Standard coal classification. Based on the result, the coal in the study area can be categorized as High Volatile C Bituminous Coal. Coal in the study area has high calories and has the potential to be use, both as thermal coal and as a mixture of PCI coal or Pulverized coal injection. PCI coal is coal used in the steelmaking process for injection of pulverized coal into blast furnaces used in combination with coke. The use of PCI allows steelmakers to reduce the amount of coke needed in the steelmaking process. Keywords: Coal, Katanjung, Kapuas, PCI

Abstract

Abstract The use of ex-mining areas for tourism purposes has become a growing trend lately. Geotourism is environmentally responsible tourism by utilizing geological sites or reclaimed ex-mining land areas to be converted into geotourism areas. This activity is expected to bring benefits to the lives of local communities in a sustainable manner. In Palangka Raya, Buhis Hill which is in the Bukit Tangkiling area is an area that used to be a area of quarry mining, in this area the Bukit Cinta Geotourism was developed. This area has a charming landscape,with expanses of meadows, shrubs, and towering rock cliffs. This area also has unique geological features, such as volcanic rocks that form interesting and beautiful geological formations. The Bukit Cinta geotourism area in the Bukit Buhis area has enormous potential to become an ideal place for fans of extreme sports, such as rock climbing, hiking and mountain biking. Buhis Hill also has interesting and challenging hiking trails, which connect several tourist objects in the vicinity. Abstract

People's Mining is a permit to carry out mining business in a people's Mining area with a limited area and investment. People's Mining Activities are as follows: Metal Mineral Mining, Non-Metal Mineral Mining, Rock Mining. People's Mining Area (WPR) is part of the Mining Area (WP) where WP is part of the Legal Mining Area. According to data, WPR in Indonesia has a total area of 580,712 hectares with a total of 3,329 blocks. IPR data throughout Indonesia recorded at the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal as of November 2020 totaled 16 IPRs. This number is very minimal when compared to the number of WPR blocks and the total area of smallholder mining areas in Indonesia. This is the background for conducting research, namely the study of how to implement community mining business management policies. The method used in this study is a qualitative method in which data is sourced from journals and previous research to obtain data in the form of research on legal effectiveness which from the point of view of its form is evaluative research. Mining policies provide directions for the implementation of the Mining Law and its implementing regulations, bearing in mind that a regulation is more general in nature. So that the government and the people who carry out mining business activities have guidelines or instructions, how people's mining business activities are in accordance with mining regulations. Through this policy, the government provides benefits to miners but remains within the regulatory framework that governs them.  Keywords: People's mining,region, policy

Abstract

Abstrak Fatigue is a physical and mental state that results in a decrease in work power and reduced body resistance to work safely and effectively. This research was conducted at PT. XX in July 2017 where the bus driver hit a water truck, the fatigue factor caused the incident. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research and interview results. This study aims to provide an overview of potential levels of fatigue and efforts to prevent accidents due to fatigue so as to provide insights and input to prevent mine accidents due to fatigue. The importance of the company's role in creating a Mining Work Safety system apart from the individual's role in terms of rest time management. Re-socializing the implementation of company regulations in the form of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), ensuring Fatigue Management System and implementation of Fatigue tests for all work partners on an ongoing basis are expected to be efforts to prevent or minimize potential similar mining accidents are repeated. Abstract

The morphological condition of Palangka Raya City which is dominated by a relatively flat area and part of it is a swamp area and flood runoff, causing a lot of accumulation of river sediments in the form of loose material such as sand and clay which are quite thick. Sebangau Subdistrict is one of the subdistricts that has the potential for thick sand deposits, which have been mined by the local community to be used as a mixture of building materials. It is necessary to know the grain size of this grayish-white sand, better known as quartz sand, before mapping out how many potential resources and reserves exist in Sebangau District. It is known from the research results, that most of the grain size of the sand in the research location is Medium Sand with a percentage of 41.29%, then Coarse Sand grain size is 23.65%, Fine Sand grain size is 21.80%, Very Fine Sand grain size is 13 .11%, and a grain size of 0.15% Very Coarse Sand. Abstract

Slaking is a rock behavior which when in direct contact with water and temperature often causes the destruction of particles, cracks and peeling of the surface layer of rock within a certain time. The purpose of this test was to observe the weathering and breakdown reactions of siltstone samples immersed in water in the Pulaubalang Formation and the Balikpapan Formation in the City of Samarinda, East Kalimantan Province. The research method was carried out quantitatively which produced values ​​which became the basis for determining the classification of the level of destruction of Batulanau. The siltstone samples will be classified at each level of destruction according to the level which is divided into 5 classes. From the results of testing 12 siltstone samples, the values ​​for the level of destruction 1 and 2 were obtained. Where the classification level of destruction 1 and 2 means that the rock samples tested experienced a fairly low level of disintegration or destruction due to the water immersion and drying processes. Abstract

The Schmidt hammer has been used worldwide as a rapid index test to determine rock strength and deformability characterization, this is because it is easy to use, low cost and can be performed in a short time and is non-destructive to samples. There are 6 sampling locations, where the first location was carried out on the outcrop of Jln. Kadrie Oening, the second location was carried out on the outcrop of Jln. Ringroad I, the third location is carried out on the outcrop of Jln. Ringroad II, the fourth location is done on the outcrop of Jln. Hj. Mastuang, the fifth location is done on the outcrop of Jln. Padat Karya, the sixth location is carried out on the outcrop of Jln. Mount Lingai City of Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Research uses quantitative methods, activity plans by making a framework or flowchart. There are many published papers that focus on getting a correlation between Schmidt hammer and unconfined compressive strength. The compressive strength value produced in the Pulaubalang Formation is greater than the compressive strength value in the Balikpapan Formation, where the compressive strength value in the Pulaubalang Formation is 1.187 MPa-1.445 MPa, while the compressive strength value in the Balikpapan Formation is 0.774 MPa-1.032 MPa. The reflected value in the Pulaubalang Formation is greater than the reflected value in the Balikpapan Formation, where the reflected value in the Pulaubalang Formation is 11.167-11.875, while the reflected value in the Balikpapan Formation is 10.417-10.708. There is a positive linear correlation between the compressive strength and the reflected value, where the higher the compressive strength, the higher the rebound value. Abstract

Activities of coal mining at PT Mitra Barito Lumbung Energi's use a long-shift work system. Thus, can lead to a very high levels of risk exhaustion. Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of longshift on the work fatigue of HD Sany SKT80S operators by using the Work Fatigue Measurement Tool Questionnaire (KAUPK2). This study uses the relationship parameter between age and body mass index. The method used in this study is a statistical test method, namely the Chi-Square Test (Fisher's Exact Test), with data analysis using bivariate. The sampling technique used was judgment sampling with 14 respondents. The results showed that 8 out of 14 HD Sany SKT80S operators felt a relationship between work fatigue and the age factor, with symptoms of a sore right or left shoulder. The perception of fatigue is already above 50% that concluded that there are fatigue experienced by HD Sany SKT80S operators. Then, of the 20 dependent factors tested with two independent factors, the result is that the body mass index has no relationship with symptoms of work fatigue, but the age factor has a relationship with symptoms of work fatigue in its tested operators. Abstract

The research was conducted at an unlicensed gold mining location in Petuk Barunai Village, Rakumpit District, Palangka Raya City. This study aims to determine the quality of Takaras River water based on the results of testing Takaras River water samples in the laboratory and to analyze the Water Pollution Index in the community mining area in the Takaras River. The Pollution Index is systematically an index related to polluting compounds that are meaningful for a designation. This research begins by analyzing 3 samples of Takaras River water affected by gold mining and then testing the samples in the laboratory. Processing data obtained from laboratory test results from each parameter tested to obtain values to determine Water Quality and compare with Water Quality Standards.The river water parameters to be studied are pH of Takaras River water, Hg, Pb, Cu, Fe, Cd, TDS, TSS, BOD, COD and DO. Parameters that comply with class II water quality standards are Fe, Cd, Pb, TDS and DO. While the parameters that pass class II water quality standards are Hg, Cu, pH, TSS, BOD, and COD. Based on the Pollution Index analysis, the Takaras River is included in the Moderately Polluted category (Fairly Polluted) with IP results of 6.23.
