Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of external factors (macro economic), which consists of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Inflation, on Islamic bank liquidity risk as measured through the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR). The research method applied is time series data analysis using sample data from Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in the 2021-2023 period with reference to monthly financial reports. The research results show that GDP has a negative and significant influence on liquidity risk represented by FDR. This means that a decrease in GDP contributes to an increase in liquidity risk in Islamic banks. Meanwhile, inflation has a positive influence on liquidity risk as measured by FDR, indicating that an increase in the inflation rate contributes to an increase in liquidity risk in Islamic banks. This increase in liquidity risk has the potential to cause inadequate FDR conditions. The analysis shows that around 40.3% of the variation in liquidity risk can be explained by GDP and inflation rates, while the remaining 59.7% is influenced by other factors not covered in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of risk, management quality, company size and bank liquidity on banking financial performance in the 2018-2022 period. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis methods on a sample of 20 banks selected purposively. Data was collected from banks' annual financial reports involving credit risk (NPL) , efficiency ratios (BOPO), company size (Ln total assets), liquidity ratios (LDR) and financial performance ratio (ROA) . The analysis results show that risk, especially credit risk, has a significant negative impact on financial performance. In contrast, management quality has a significant positive impact on financial performance. However, firm size and bank liquidity, although they have a positive impact on financial performance, are not significant in the context of this study. These findings provide insight into the factors that banks need to pay attention to to improve financial performance.

The concept of economic resilience is multidimensional, encompassing factors like resistance, recovery, and adaptability to mitigate the impact of economic shocks. Drawing from various disciplines, theoretical frameworks highlight its interdisciplinary nature. Economic resilience plays a crucial role in responding to crises, with entrepreneurship emerging as a key component. Despite challenges such as resource constraints and regulatory barriers, proactive policies can foster resilient entrepreneurship. By promoting innovation, supporting access to capital, and enhancing entrepreneurial education, policymakers can build a resilient ecosystem that drives economic prosperity and sustainability. Collaboration among stakeholders is vital for realizing this vision.
