Abstract

Many new innovations have been found regarding wall structures that were previously conventional from bricks, which have been changed to more effective, lightweight and environmentally friendly materials. One alternative material that can be used is Styrofoam. This study aims to determine the compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete when added with a mixture of Styrofoam   with a percentage of 0%, 10% and 30% as well as to compare the mechanical behavior of the concrete mixture with Styrofoam  and without Styrofoam  and to analyze the test results as concrete. light weight according to SNI 03-2847-2002, then it can be designed as a precast wall used for partitions in high buildings, which meet the requirements in the demolding process. .In this study, data processing and analysis were carried out referring to SNI 1974-2011, SNI 03-2491-2002 and SNI 4431:2011. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the unit weight of 30% Styrofoam  concrete was 1633.45 kg/m3, so it can be categorized as lightweight concrete which is smaller than 1900 kg/m3 (SNI 03-2847-2002). The compressive strength values with 0%, 10% and 30% Styrofoam  volume at the age of 28 days respectively were 26.76 MPa (328.668 kg/cm2), 11.96 MPa (146.955 kg/cm2) and 10 ,02 MPa (123,100 kg/cm2). The value of the split tensile strength of concrete with 0%, 10% and 30% Styrofoam  volumes at the age of 28 days in a row is 4.23 MPa, 3.45 MPa and 2.68 MPa, the maximum reduction to normal concrete is 36.64 % by volume 30% Styrofoam . The flexural strength values of concrete with 0%, 10% and 30% Styrofoam volumes at the age of 28 days, respectively, were 7.00 MPa, 6.59 MPa and 6.07 MPa and the percentage decrease in flexural strength with the addition of 10 Styrofoam  volumes. % and 30% of normal concrete at 5.85% and 13.28%, respectively. So that the greater the volume of Styrofoam added to the concrete, the lower the value of compressive strength, split tensile and flexural strength produced.

Abstract

Abuse of narcotics, trafficking illegal drugs becomes a matter of great concern. The issue is already threatening the lives of the next generation of the nation, even a global problem that has become a serious threat in the life of nation and state, not least in Indonesia. Drugs rehabilitation center is a place to rehabilitate people who use drugs. Moreover, drugs rehabilitation center is a place to stop drug user dependency. Based on the problem designing, there are some summaries as follows: (1) Site design of a drugs rehabilitation center are designed to get a nice views and in accordance with the function. (2) Mass organizations are designed to be easily accessible and make the buildings get enough sunshines. (3) Drugs patient has to follow rehabilitation steps from isolation rooms in medical rehabilitation units to reduce drug dependence and interact with society.

Abstract

Seeing the construction work of a complex project, a good project management is needed such as planning, implementing activities, controling activities and scheduling a project.Where a project is said to be successful if the financing/budget is right, quality is right, and on tme. If all three categories have been met, then the project becomes a benchmark for the success of a project. We can see in the contruction of the Medan-Binjai Railroad Which is experiencing problems in the implementation of delays in the work that has been determined by he schedule. Basically, delays can be caused by all parties participating in the operation of the contruction work. In a construction project, it is not always a project that is always on time in achieving success as sheduled. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the delay in the improvement project for the Medan-Binjai Railway. The method used in data processing n this study are seven factors that greatly affect project delays, including factors due to the Covid-19 virus with a mean value of 3,62, difficulty in accessing project locations with a mean value of 3,59, lack of workforce discipline with a mean value of 3,35, the number of additional jobs wiht a mean value of 3,21, lack of skilled labor with a mean value of 3,15.

Abstract

At this time the S Parman road in Medan City is very congested because around the road there are new buildings and indiscriminate parking so that the performance of the roads on S Parman road is increasing.  Thus, S Parman road users need an alternative repair in order to obtain a less congested road.  In general, this study aims to determine the performance of the road network on the S Parman road section.  The method used in this research is based on the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI). The steps to conduct this study are to conduct a traffic survey on the S Parman road, the cambrige intersection on the S Parman - Glugur road and geometric measurements of the road on the S road section.  Parman.  In the existing condition, S Parman road has a DS of 0.73, and Gajah Mada road is 0.70 and KH Zainal Arifin road is 0.69 and the Attorney road is 0.38 and Glugur road is 0.33.  With the DS already approaching the standard limit of 0.73, which is set in the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) of 0.75, traffic management is needed in order to obtain optimal road performance.

Abstract

The increasing number of tourists in North Nias Regency has encouraged the writer to plan the design of resort hotels in North Nias Regency as a place to stay for local and foreign tourists. In designing a resort hotel, the author chooses a location that has attractive potential and is easily accessible to visitors. In North Nias Regency, there are 33 interesting tourist objects consisting of beaches, mountains, caves, and waterfalls that can be selected, including for the location of the site in the design of the hotel resort. The method used in the design of hotel resorts is descriptive analysis method, namely by carrying out several stages of analysis accompanied by a study of literature that supports the theory. This analysis uses qualitative analysis, namely collecting data in the form of detailed stories or actual conditions by surveying comparative study objects related to the design, and conducting site site surveys. The design of resort hotels in North Nias uses a design approach through contextual architecture. The shape of the building can relate to the site's environment, the condition of the surrounding buildings, society, culture, and materials in the local area. The application of contextual architecture also takes the surrounding design motifs such as mass forms, patterns and ornaments.
