Abstract

The aim of this article or writing is to obtain an international standard badminton sports building design in the North Sumatra sport center using a metaphorical architectural approach. The design is focused on predetermined themes covering architectural aspects, such as the arrangement of the sports arena and other supporting facilities. The study used in this design is the process of searching for ideas obtained through various sources of information regarding architectural data at the Badminton Sports Building and the metaphorical approach as a problem-solving material in which the realization of the design ideas is outlined in the form of images. This study concludes that in designing a badminton sports building, a form and design theme is needed that can stimulate people to come immediately because of their visual interest in the building. Therefore, the metaphorical architectural approach can support this as a limitation in the shape and design of this badminton sports building.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain the damage pattern of cylindrical column concrete specimens (BKS) reinforced with laminate jute composite (KLJ) based on the results of the Split Tensile Test, to find out the phenomenon of applying laminated jute composite reinforcement to cylindrical column concrete to the percentage of crack patterns ( PPR) specimens, and analyze the comparison between split tensile strength (KTB) and PPR. The test specimens were printed based on the ASTM C496 test standard using the Vacuum Bagging method. Specimen variations consist of 1 to 4 layers of KLJ and one variation without KLJ sheath as a control specimen. The split tensile test used the UTM test tool with each variation being carried out 3 repetitions. PPR observations and calculations were carried out with the help of Adobe Photoshop software. The results of the study show that the greater the KTB value, the greater the PPR that occurs. The increase in PPR in each KTB is reported in this article.

Abstract

Bertambahnya penduduk di Kota Medan menyebabkan peningkatan permintaan konsumen akan konstruksi bangunan gedung. Akibat dari peningkatan tersebut inovasi pada metode pelaksanaan konstruksi gedung semakin berkembang agar pelaksanaan lebih efektif dan efisien dari segi mutu, biaya dan wktu. Metode precast half slab dapat dijadikan salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan dalam pelaksanaan konstruksi gedung. Precast half slab ialah gabungan antara beton precast dan konvensional pada pekerjaan pelat lantai. RAB memiliki peranan penting dalam penyelenggaraan sebuah proyek karena adanya keterkaitan dengan metode pelaksanaan konstruksi yang akan dilaksanakan. Pada pembangunan Gedung Pasar Buah Supermarket Medan terjadi keterlambatan pada tahap pengecoran pelat lantai saat proyek berlangsung dikarenakan keterlambatan penyelesaian perakitan tulangan pelat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pada penelitian ini akan diterapkan metode precast/pracetak pada Gedung Pasar Buah Supermarket Medan pada pekerjaan pelat lantai. Maksud penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis rencana anggaran biaya pelat lantai dengan metode precast pada Gedung Pasar Buah Supermarket Medan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besar rencana anggaran biaya pelat lantai dengan metode precast. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan struktur dengan mendesain pelat lantai metode precast/pracetak sesuai dengan SNI 2847:2019 dan PCI Design Handbook Precast and Prestresses Concrete dan perhitungan rencana anggaran biaya mengacu pada AHSP PUPR 2022 untuk mengetahui besarnya rencana anggaran biaya yang dibutuhkan. Berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh hasil pada pelaksanaan pekerjaan pelat lantai dengan metode precast membutuhkan anggaran biaya sebesar Rp.1.684.097.837,94.

Abstract

Many new innovations have been found regarding wall structures that were previously conventional from bricks, which have been changed to more effective, lightweight and environmentally friendly materials. One alternative material that can be used is Styrofoam. This study aims to determine the compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete when added with a mixture of Styrofoam   with a percentage of 0%, 10% and 30% as well as to compare the mechanical behavior of the concrete mixture with Styrofoam  and without Styrofoam  and to analyze the test results as concrete. light weight according to SNI 03-2847-2002, then it can be designed as a precast wall used for partitions in high buildings, which meet the requirements in the demolding process. .In this study, data processing and analysis were carried out referring to SNI 1974-2011, SNI 03-2491-2002 and SNI 4431:2011. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the unit weight of 30% Styrofoam  concrete was 1633.45 kg/m3, so it can be categorized as lightweight concrete which is smaller than 1900 kg/m3 (SNI 03-2847-2002). The compressive strength values with 0%, 10% and 30% Styrofoam  volume at the age of 28 days respectively were 26.76 MPa (328.668 kg/cm2), 11.96 MPa (146.955 kg/cm2) and 10 ,02 MPa (123,100 kg/cm2). The value of the split tensile strength of concrete with 0%, 10% and 30% Styrofoam  volumes at the age of 28 days in a row is 4.23 MPa, 3.45 MPa and 2.68 MPa, the maximum reduction to normal concrete is 36.64 % by volume 30% Styrofoam . The flexural strength values of concrete with 0%, 10% and 30% Styrofoam volumes at the age of 28 days, respectively, were 7.00 MPa, 6.59 MPa and 6.07 MPa and the percentage decrease in flexural strength with the addition of 10 Styrofoam  volumes. % and 30% of normal concrete at 5.85% and 13.28%, respectively. So that the greater the volume of Styrofoam added to the concrete, the lower the value of compressive strength, split tensile and flexural strength produced.

Abstract

The number of crime cases in North Sumatra continues to increase, one of the cases in Deli Serdang Regency, namely cases of violence against women and children. The factor is caused by imitating the technology media that is growing rapidly at this time. As a result, morale, morals and behavior are damaged inside. Therefore, to improve morals within oneself, positive activities such as religious activities are needed. For this reason, a container or place is needed that can support religious activities such as an Islamic Center. In the design of the Islamic Center, motivation is needed that can relate that the image of the building can improve bad morals, by imitating the visuals of the building in the form of prayer movements. This has been mentioned in the Al-Quran (QS: Al Ankabut (29: 45)) "Prayer can prevent from abominable and evil deeds". In this case the architectural theme that can be applied in the design of this Islamic Center is metaphorical architecture with a type of metaphor that can form a visual prayer movement that is real or the same as the original form, namely a tangible metaphor. The research method is in the form of a qualitative method by collecting data and quantitative methods for the results of the design of the Islamic Center

Abstract

Binjai is a city in North Sumatra. Along with the increase in population and the increase in industrial zones every year, automatically the need for the use of clean water continues to grow. In East Binjai Subdistrict, the existence of Drinking Water Service Providers is far from satisfactory. This happens because many residents still use groundwater sources (dug wells) as one of the main sources of residents to obtain clean water. By thinking about these problems, the author wants to evaluate the need for clean water in East Binjai District until 2027 and the number of clean water service coverage in East Binjai District in 2027. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, the need for clean water based on the total population of East Binjai District in 2027 is 109,612 lt/s, while clean water needs are based on the number of customers of East Binjai District in 2027 of 18,018 lt/s. As for the service coverage of Company M in 2027, it was obtained by 17.946%, with the description of 66,227 people in the total population of East Binjai District, the number of people who use Company M's services for daily use is only 11,326 people. The remaining 54,342 people still use independent methods to obtain clean water.

Abstract

Abuse of narcotics, trafficking illegal drugs becomes a matter of great concern. The issue is already threatening the lives of the next generation of the nation, even a global problem that has become a serious threat in the life of nation and state, not least in Indonesia. Drugs rehabilitation center is a place to rehabilitate people who use drugs. Moreover, drugs rehabilitation center is a place to stop drug user dependency. Based on the problem designing, there are some summaries as follows: (1) Site design of a drugs rehabilitation center are designed to get a nice views and in accordance with the function. (2) Mass organizations are designed to be easily accessible and make the buildings get enough sunshines. (3) Drugs patient has to follow rehabilitation steps from isolation rooms in medical rehabilitation units to reduce drug dependence and interact with society.

Abstract

Fungsi Ring Road yaitu agar kendaraan dapat mencapai bagian kota tertentu tanpa harus melalui pusat kota untuk mempercepat perjalanan. Penelitian ini mengkaji kondisi lalu lintas secara keseluruhan untuk mengetahui kinerja ruas jalan dan tingkat pelayanan simpang bersinya disepanjang jalan lingkar Gagak Hitam Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder hasil dari survey secara langsung dilokasi dan data primer. Jam puncak didapat pada weekday sore pukul 17.00-18.00 WIB. Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai terbesar derajat kejenuhan (DS) pada ruas jalan lingkar Gagak Hitam Kota Medan yaitu 0,736 ini masih memenuhi syarat kelayakan sesuai standar yang ditetapkan dalam Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2014 yaitu dibawah 0,75 Klasifikasi tingkat pelayanan ruas jalan C dimana ruas jalan dalam zona arus stabil dan pemilihan kecepatan pengemudi dibatasi.Nilai tundaan rata-rata simpang bersinyal yaitu sebesar 51,32-59,76. Berdasarkan PM 96 tahun 2015 nilai tundaan yang didapat termasuk kedalam kategori tingkat pelayanan simpang E dengan kondisi nilai tundaan diantara 40,1 sampai 60 smp/det dan kinerja simpang tergolong buruk.

Abstract

The issue currently being faced by the global community is the issue of global warming, which researchers believe is caused by development activities. Currently, every series of development activities has the potential for negative impacts on the environment, so that construction actors need to have awareness and knowledge in minimizing these negative impacts. One solution that can be done by construction actors in building is to apply the concept of Green Building. The writing of this study aims to determine the results of measuring green building criteria based on the Greenship-GBCI standard in buildings by conducting questionnaires and verification interviews. Based on the data collected and the calculations that have been made at the Harper Hotel Building against the 41 Greenship criteria, the building obtained a total of 64 points out of a maximum of 117 points. Thus, the building is considered to have met the criteria as a built building that applies the Green Building concept according to the GBCI assessment tool and has a minimum standard value of rating fulfillment of 58 points for the Gold rating

Abstract

According to the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia (2009), the creative industry is an industry that originates from the utilization of individual creativity, skills and talents to create welfare and employment where according to the ministry of creative economy statistics there are 17 creative economy sub-sectors that are developing in Indonesia. From the data, this has enormous potential so that the economic sector in Medan city increases. Because Medan is one of the cities that has the largest population outside Java. Many creative industry players in the city of Medan operate individually. So that many products / works produced are less varied. With this problem faced, therefore the need for a place or container that can accommodate the activities of creative industry players. The place is called the Center for Creative Industries. In this "Creative Industry Center" through the approach of an architect, namely Ieoh Ming Pei. Ieoh Ming Pei is one of the pioneer architects of contemporary themes where he has a characteristic for each of his designs. Therefore, with Ieoh Ming Pei's approach this can be an elaboration of a theme with a good title in order to produce buildings that are synonymous with creativity.
