Abstract

PT. Aristek Highpolymer is a company engaged in the chemical industry by producing synthetic resins and polyurethanes. In carrying out its business processes, PT. Aristek Highpolymer produces 6 types of products, one of which is arikyd 36xx hv products. In carrying out the production process arikyd 36xx hv there is a delay due to high cycle time that affects effectiveness. With these problems, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of production process activities in order to find the root cause of delays and solutions that are expected to minimize or reduce delays that occur. In this study, the manufacturing cycle effectiveness (MCE) method will be used to be able to determine and improve production effectiveness and identify non-value-adding activities using Fishbone Diagram. From the results of research using the Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE) method, the effectiveness of the production process was obtained by 74%, this shows that in carrying out the production process there are still activities not adding value by 26%. Then the root cause of the problem was identified using the fishbone diagram method and it was known that there were 4 main factors that became the problem of non-value added in the production process, namely: Lack of training in production activities, less ergonomic machines and lack of maintenance, Lack of tools in production process activities and inefficient production process layout.

Abstract

In 1973 for the first time, pencak silat competed precisely at PON VIII in Jakarta. Until now, matches have always been held at the district level and even ASEAN in the annual activity agenda. In a match, of course, there is an assessment to find the final result of a match, the match assessment tool in each match event is still manual, which uses paper and pen media to determine the value of the match, but such a scoring model has problems in the time of accumulation of total assessments, the loss of assessment data paper after the match and the high costs incurred to buy match assessment tools. It is hoped that the Pencak Silat Match Assist Score Application can help assess pencak silat matches and enjoy its usefulness in all pencak silat martial arts games at the regional, district, and even national levels.

Abstract

In the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, a hierarchical structure chart is formed to be able to solve a complex and unstructured problem. Which aims to define a problem from the general to the specific. The problem hierarchy is structured to assist in a decision-making process by taking into account all decision elements involved in the system. Ma'Ipeh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) are one of the community industries that are engaged in onion processing, in order to be able to produce a product that is in accordance with the wishes of consumers. Until now, Ma'Ipeh MSME continue to maintain performance both in terms of products and suppliers. To keep things in good condition and continue to grow, it is necessary to select suppliers that are in accordance with the needs and criteria of MSME. The purpose of this study was to find criteria for selecting suppliers, determining the priority of onion suppliers, and determining follow-up on all other onion suppliers according to their performance. The method used in this research is the AHP. The AHP method is used for effective decision making on complex issues. The criteria used in selecting suppliers include price, quality, service and quantity determination. The results of calculations using AHP, obtained the onion supplier with the best value, namely supplier Saniyah with a weight of 0.951. The next priority supplier is Karim with a weight of 0.337, then Amelia with a weight of 0.279.

Abstract

Brass material is important for all industrial parts. Brass had good ability work in cold or hot conditions, in solid state CuZn is capable of dissolving more crystals in the mixture. At temperatures of 902°C peritectic transformation occurred where Zn soluble in 32.5%. Solubility is increased up to a temperature of about 450 ° C to 39% and then in equilibrium will decrease, the length of the heating and cooling process is very long. With descriptive technique showed that the weld strength brass highest (7863.1 kgf / mm2) is that the surface of the specimen suffered welding rubbing with a gap distance of 0.2 and 0.3 mm, both with water cooling or air cooling, and the condition other relatively much lower strength (3144.89 kgf / mm2). Welding the workpiece surface is not polished strength is low. Specifically, properties - mechanical properties of brass can be improved by the addition of small amounts of other alloying elements without reducing the characteristics of the brass in general. But with a maximum limit zinc levels should not exceed 42% because it will result in a brass are fragile because of excess levels of zinc, and cannot be used commercially. with the addition of other elements as reinforcing elements of brass such as silicon, bismuth, selenium and others to improve the ability of the brass in the machining process. Welding results by using three different types of welding wire shows that, at the time of welding is performed with brass welding wire in the market there is no trouble found. Welding speed specimen is also calculated using a stopwatch, and the speed required for welding in 3 specimens, the average in the first specimen takes 5 minutes for the welding process. And the visual results produced is also satisfied.

Abstract

The Indis architecture of the 1920s to 1940s in Indonesia was a phenomenon of the formation of Dutch colonial buildings with high architectural value that still survive today. The shape results from combining modern European architecture with Indonesian vernacular architecture. The research uses a range theory approach to the type of architectural synthesis forms, architectural synthesis theory, local and non-local elements theory, architectural synthesis form theory, archetypes theory, and typology theory. The research methodology is carried out with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative approach is descriptive and interpretative research, where the data is more concerned with interpreting local and non-local architectural elements in the object of study. The quantitative approach is confirmatory to prove it under the research objectives. The results of the study are expected to provide an understanding of the range of types of synthesis forms of local and non-local elements; aspects that affect the range of types of synthesis forms; form, form, and type of architectural synthesis; the range type model of the architectural form on Indis architecture building.

Abstract

A downtime will decrease machine availability that will affect reliability and maintainability. If interval time between two consecutive machine failures is approach to zero, it shows that the machine reliability is low, and so the availability. In the other hand, if interval time between is high, the machine availability and reliability are high. However, the procuring cost of the machine components is expensive. The problem is what is the maintenance interval time in order to optimize machine availability and reliability. In this study, the downtime is minimized by determining maintenance intervals using a multicriteria, i.e. reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM). The model used in this research is the Age Replacement Model. A case study of a cement company is taken to show the determination of the maintenance interval. The observation shows that the Kiln Division has the longest total downtime of 1,846 hours/year although the Kiln Division has implemented overhaul during 15 days and maintenance one times. The total downtime of the Kiln Division was caused by failure to the Grate Cooler machine by 56.582%. A maintenance interval is proposed, and the result shows that the proposed maintenance intervals reduce total downtime by 86.6% and improve machine availability by 1,8%.
