Abstract

Information-seeking behavior skills related to tourist destinations by Generation Z during the Covid-19 pandemic are highly needed. This study aims to determine the information-seeking behavior skills related to tourist destinations by Generation Z during the Covid-19 pandemic. The researcher employed a quantitative method with descriptive analysis using the mean and grand mean. The research findings indicate that overall, the information-seeking behavior skills of Generation Z travelers in searching for information related to tourist destinations are categorized as good, with a grand mean value of 3.90 from all tested indicators, including previous visits, engagement, deliberate learning, incidental learning, familiarity, expertise, internal search costs (cognitive effort required and expected outcomes), and external search costs (involving significant time and various sources).

Abstract

Nai Nang Apiculture Learning Center is an educational tourism in the form of a bee farm area and is jointly managed by the community in the village of Nai Nang, Krabi, Thailand. This learning center has a main attraction in bee keeping, and has been processing bee products thanks to the empowerment of the surrounding community. However, it was observed that Nai Nang Apiculture Learning Center also has other several attractions that have not been developed by the community as the management. The tourism services provided by the community at the Nai Nang Apiculture Learning Center has not been optimized. The purpose of this research is to answer why community empowerment is needed for the development of educational tourism in Nai Nang Apiculture Learning Center and what is the form of community participation or support required for the development of educational tourism in Nai Nang Apiculture Learning Center. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, and study of documents. The data were then analyzed using the SWOT analysis. The result of this research is that people need to get socialization about educational tourism services in Nai Nang Apiculture Learning Center, such as how to explain honey processing from the bee farm. Besides that, English language training needs to be carried out so that the community can more easily interact with foreign tourists. Additionally, the community can still develop a new source of tourist attraction, namely rubber trees plantation, thus adding more value and experiences on the educational tourism.

Abstract

Purpose: The Covid-19 pandemic has been a challenge for the world community since its inception in December 2019. The rapid and massive transmission to all corners of the world has forced various parties to implement policies that harm many sectors. This includes the tourism industry sector. The industry is required to adapt to new habits by participating in presenting policies that are able to provide safe and comfortable tourism for tourists. However, after the many pressures and prohibitions faced during the Covid-19 pandemic, it indirectly changed people's behavior as tourists. Therefore, this study aims to find out which direction changes in tourist behavior globally during the Covid-19 pandemic.Results and discussions: The results of this study indicate that there is a change in tourist behavior related to destination preferences, transportation, and accommodation.Conclusion: Tourists prefer accommodation in the form of villas and longer duration. Meanwhile, the main priority of tourists during the pandemic is cleanliness and health, so if you want to recover quickly, the tourism industry players from upstream to downstream must be able to present clean and healthy tourism

Abstract

In this modern era, people need to find efficient solutions, especially for university students who have limited time constraints. This research paper will study the correlation between factors such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, information quality, time-saving orientation, and price-saving orientation toward intention to use online food delivery for university students specifically in Malaysia. This paper adopted a framework from a previous research paper by Pitchay et al., (2021) which talks about topics that are in line but with a wider range of respondents. Respondents for this research paper are university students. Researchers want to test what influences this demographic to use online food delivery services. This paper also comes with solutions that can help the industry to enhance its business and attract more consumers. This paper uses the convenience sampling method to obtain data from various respondents; this is also due to the limitations of money and time in working on this research paper.

Abstract

Abstract: Over the last few decades, the tourism sector has experienced rapid development. Along with the continued development of the tourism sector, the concepts of tourism development are also increasingly diverse, one of which is halal tourism. Indonesia as the largest Muslim country in the world is certainly a very big opportunity in implementing the concept of developing halal tourism. In addition, research on the theme of halal tourism and Sharia hotels has been carried out a lot. The last six years have been very historic for developing tourism both in Indonesia and the world. 2018 and 2019 were the peak years for tourism. Then 2020 – 2022 was a difficult period for tourism, due to the covid – 19 pandemic, while 2023 was the recovery period for the tourism sector after the covid-19 pandemic.Purpose: This research aims to explore the development of scientific publications in the field of tourism, especially halal tourism, as well as Sharia hotels as accommodation providers for Muslim tourists which have been carried out a lot in the last 6 years, between 2018 – 2023.Research methods: This study used descriptive qualitative research methods using the Publish or Perish (PoP) software to collect data, and VosViewer to map the research network.Result and Discussion: A total of 200 articles related to keywords were collected using the keywords "Halal Tourism" AND "Sharia Hotel", but only 189 articles matched the predetermined criteria. The research findings show that for the last 6 years, 2022 is the year with the highest number of publications, namely 52 articles. Meanwhile, the highest number of citations is 326 citations in 47 articles published throughout 2021. Meanwhile, the VosViewer mapping results show that 44 keyword items are most used by researchers, which are grouped into 5 clusters.Conclusions: Research with the theme of Halal tourism and Sharia hotels has been carried out in the last 6 years. Opportunities for research themes that can be carried out are those related to halal tourism management, halal tourism destinations, and sharia hotel management.

Abstract

Abstract: Nai Nang Village Mangrove Forest is one of the tourist attractions in Krabi Thailand. The destination of this mangrove forest area is very wide and has a variety of trees with a considerable number, especially mangrove trees and even some species of animals present in it. In addition, in this mangrove forest has a beekeeping farm where honey can be processed as a typical souvenir and used as an educational tour of beekeeping. But at the time the author conducted this mangrove forest research in a quiet situation and not widely known by foreign tourists. Mangrove forest is also not managed to the maximum. Purpose: This research aims to answer how tourism development strategies can be done so as to reduce the number of tourist visits and answer how the role of the community to the development of Nai Nang Village Mangrove Forest. Research methods: The research method used is Qualitative Research. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interview, and documentation. Then the data is analyzed using SWOT analysis. Results and discussions: The results of this study the manager needs to improve the quality of cleanliness, promotion, exploring the potential of tourism either from the cultural, social, natural or community elements itself so as not to lose to other competitors. As well as taking care of mangrove forest regulation in order to get full support from the local government that will have a big impact on tourism development in Nai Nang Mangrove Debt. Conclusion: The role of the community in the development of mangrove forests is quite large from participating in the organization of management, group workshops with the manufacture of value-added products such as hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner with honey as souvenirs typical of the local area where as a promotional media. The local community also accompanies and mentors people who want to do bee education tours

Abstract

The food service industry has increasingly adopted technology-based services, such as Food Service Application (FSA), to minimize physical contact and promote social distancing. FSA offers benefits for customers and businesses, such as saving time on the ordering process. A study was conducted using convenience sampling and an online questionnaire to collect 216 respondents. The data was analyzed using IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The study aimed to examine the relationship between FSA features and customer perception and the relationship between consumer perception of FSA features and customer revisit intention. Results showed that FSA Features, FSA Responsiveness, FSA Reliability, and FSA Assurance positively correlated with FSA perception. FSA Responsiveness was found to be the most influential feature on FSA perception.

Abstract

The development of communication and information technology has been utilized by various sectors in the world including tourism. Technological advances are used to market and sell products from tourist destinations. However, Ancol App as a platform to marker dan sell tickets as as product from Ancol itself received a fairly low rating on both the App Store and Google PlayStore, this shows that there is a need for improvements to the quality of the system, the quality of information, and the quality of services provided to users.  This study is intended to know how the influence of system quality, information quality, and service quality on user satisfaction from Ancol App. Research methods were carried out with quantitative descriptive with a sample of 100 people who successfully made transactions using Ancol App. Sample collection techniques using Non-Probability Sampling type purposive sampling.  The results showed that (1) System Quality (X1) and Information Quality (X2) partially had no effect, while Service Quality (X3) had a positive effect on User Satisfaction (Y). (2) Simultaneously, System Quality (X1), Information Quality (X2), and Service Quality (X3) have a positive effect on User Satisfaction (Y). Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of the research, it is hoped that Ancol App can improve the quality of information and services in order to increase user satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstrack: Posong is a tourist destination that needs to be built, developed, and perfected. Therefore we need right way to develop Posong area into a leading and attractive destination for tourists. Attraction characteristic of Posong's natural attractions is view sunrise and display of seven mountain peaks. Spread plantation land does not forget to be allure Posong's natural tourist destination. However, this potential has not been managed optimally, such as lack of adequate facilities, less intensive promotions, and accessibility problems in form roads are still steep and rocky. In addition, during this pandemic, natural tourism in Posong experienced a decrease in number tourists, which affected local economy. Therefore we need the right strategy to make Posong a sustainable tourism.Purpose: This study aims to analyze ecotourism in Posong tourism sites, Temanggung Regency. Determine and describe economic influence, social influences, environmental influences in Posong tourism destinations, Temanggung Regency before and after ecotourism development strategy.Research methods: Qualitative with explorative. Data collection by observation and documentation.Results and discussions: Strategies used to develop Posong tourist destinations which include application of sustainable tourism principles, ecotourism development, acessibility, and amenity development, Human Resources Development local communities, formation of Posong tourism area managers.Conclusion: Aspects of attractions, environment, and visitors are good and ready to deal with revenge tourism during a pandemic by paying attention to strict health protocols. Sustainable development has a comprehensive, integrated, and human oriented approach

Abstract

Khao Garos nature tourism is one of the tourism potentials in Nai Nang village, a Community Based Tourism village in Krabi Province, Thailand. Khao Garos offers natural tourist attractions going along the river on a long tail boat while enjoying the beauty of the limestone mountain range. Apart from that, Khao Garos natural tourist attraction also offers kayaking experiences, which add the value to this tourist attraction. However, Khao Garos tourism still has some weaknesses, among them are the lack of information regarding its natural tourism potentials and also its marketing. This study tries to answer the question of why digital marketing should be applied to Khao Garos tourist destination, and how to implement the digital marketing. The method used is descriptive qualitative using primary data in the form of observations and interviews, as well as secondary data in the form of literature and document studies related to Khao Garos tourism. The results show that digital marketing can provide more complete information about the natural tourism potentials of Khao Garos to potential tourists. Besides that, digital marketing can attract tourists to visit Khao Garos. Meanwhile, the application of digital marketing that can be done is through creating an informative website and through various social media platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
