Abstract

Research on "The Effect of Goat Urine Dosing on Growth and Yield of Pakchoy (Brassica chinensis L.)" has been carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ekasakti University, Padang, which began in July 2019 until September 2019. The aim was to find out and obtain doses The best POC of goat urine on growth and yield of pakchoy (Brassica chinensis L.) plants. This study was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications, all consisting of 24 treatment plots with 5 plants in each plot. The treatment is A = without POC, B = 30 mℓ POC / liter of water per plant, C = 60 mℓ POC / liter of water per plant, D = 90 mℓ POC / liter of water per plant , E = 120 mℓ POC / liter of water per plant, F = 150 mℓ POC / liter of water per plant. By giving 4x the plant-1 (100 mℓ, 200 mℓ, 300 mℓ and 400 mℓ). The parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, longest leaf length, widest leaf width, and wet weight per plant. Data were analyzed statistically by the F test, if F count > F table 5%, then further testing with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% significance level. The best yield for growth and yield of pakchoy plants is a dose of 90 mℓ / ℓ water plant-1. Based on the results it can be recommended for the administration of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer to plants of pakchoy (Brassica chinensis L.) at a dose of 90 mℓ / ℓ water per plant.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Koto Panjang Ikur Koto Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City with an altitude of 20 meters above sea level from March to June 2019. The aim of the study was to determine and obtain the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for banana peels and rice washing water for growth. and peanut yields. Experiments were carried out in the field using a randomized block design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 groups so that there were 24 experimental units in total. Each experimental unit consisted of 15 plants and 5 of them were sampled, totaling 360 plants, spacing 40 x 20 cm. The treatments given were various concentrations of POC banana peel and rice washing water as follows A: Without POC B: POC with a concentration of 4% C: POC with a concentration of 8% D: POC with a concentration of 12% E: POC with a concentration of 16% F: POC with a concentration of 20%. The data from the observations obtained were analyzed with the F test and continued with the Duncant's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT). The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer for banana peels and water washing rice to peanuts had no significant effect on plant height, number of primary branches, number of pods per plant, number of pithy pods per plant, weight of pods per plant, weight of pods per plot. , seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot and seed weight at 14% KA. The application of liquid organic fertilizer for banana peels and rice washing water has not been able to increase the growth and yield of peanut plants.

Abstract

Research on the effect of the combination of quail droppings bokashi + NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and yield of green beans (Vigna radiata L.) was carried out in Koto Panjang Ikur Koto Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang. This research was started from December 2019 to March 2020. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best combination of quail droppings + NPK 16:16:16 for growth and yield of green bean plants. This study used a randomized block design with 9 treatments and 3 groups. The treatments were given with the dose of bokashi quail manure with a combination of NPK fertilizer 16:16:16, namely A = 0 ton / ha + 100 kg / ha NPK; B = 5 tonnes / ha + 50 kg / ha NPK; C = 5 tonnes / ha + 100 kg / ha NPK; D = 10 tonnes / ha + 50 kg / ha NPK; E = 10 tonnes / ha + 100 kg / ha NPK; F = 15 tonnes / ha + 50 kg / ha NPK; G = 15 tonnes / ha + 100 kg / ha NPK; H = 20 tonnes / ha + 50 kg / ha NPK; I = 20 tonnes / ha + 100 kg / ha NPK. The results showed that the combination of quail dung bokashi + NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 showed no significant effect on the observed variable number of primary branches and had a very significant effect on plant height, flowering age, first harvest age, number of pods planted, number of pods per plot, percentage of pithy per plot, dry weight of seeds per plot, and significant differences in seed dry weight per plant. The combination of quail droppings bokashi + NPK 16:16:16, namely 15 tonnes / ha + 50 kg / ha NPK is the best measure for the growth and yield of green bean plants.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Kandih Raya, Kampung Olo, Nanggalo District, Padang City, West Sumatra. The experiment was carried out from January to April 2020. The aim of this study was to obtain the best combination dose of bokashi goat manure and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and yield of sweet corn. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with 7 treatments and 3 groups. The treatments were various combinations of dosage of bokashi goat manure and NPK, namely: A = 0 tonnes / ha bokashi goat manure and 300 kg NPK 16:16:16 B = 10 tonnes / ha bokashi goat manure and 250 kg NPK 16:16 : 16 C = 10 tonnes / ha bokashi goat manure and 300 kg NPK 16:16:16 D = 15 tonnes / ha bokashi goat manure and 250 kg NPK 16:16:16 E = 15 tonnes / ha bokashi goat manure and 300 kg NPK 16:16:16 F = 20 tons / ha bokashi goat manure and 250 kg NPK 16:16:16 G = 20 tons / ha bokashi goat manure and 300 kg NPK 16:16:16. The use of the combined dose of bokashi goat manure and NPK gave no significant effect on: stem diameter, harvest age, ear length and diameter and ear weight without husks per plant, showing significant differences on: flowering age, and ear weight with weight per plant. and showed significantly different effects on: plant height, longest leaf length, widest leaf width, number of leaves and ear weight without husks per plot. The combination of dosage combination of bokashi goat manure at 15 ton / ha and 300 kg / ha NPK 16:16:16 was the best treatment for the growth and yield of sweet corn plants.

Abstract

An experiment on the effect of giving bokashi tithonia on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) was carried out in Korong Gadang Village, Kuranji District, Padang City, West Sumatra. This research was conducted from March to April 2019. The purpose of this study was to obtain the dose of bokashi tithonia. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were: A = Control (without Bokashi), B = Bokashi Tithonia 3 t.ha-1 (33.75 g tan-1), C = Bokashi Tithonia 6 t.ha-1 (67.5 g tan- 1), D = Bokashi Tithonia 9 t.ha-1 (101.3 g tan-1), E = Bokashi Tithonia 12 t.ha-1 (135 g tan-1), F = Bokashi Tithonia 15 t.ha- 1 (168.75 g tan-1). The data for each observation were obtained and analyzed by means of variance, if F count > F table, then it was continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a significant level of 5%. The experimental results showed that the effect of giving Bokashi Tithonia on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, widest leaf width, plant fresh weight, while giving effect on longest leaf length. So that the best dose of Bokashi Tithonia has not been obtained for the growth and yield of mustard greens. Based on the above, it can be suggested to conduct research on Bokashi Tithonia at a rate higher than 15 tons/ha.

Abstract

Research on the effect of giving POC (lamtoro leaves + banana stem) on the growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) has been carried out in Korong Gadang Village, Kuranji District, Padang, February - May 2021. The aim of the study was to obtain the best POC concentration for growth and cucumber yields. The design used was a randomized block design with 5 treatments and 5 groups so that there were 25 experimental units, the experimental unit was a plot with a size of 200 x 210 cm, a spacing of 70 x 50 cm so that in each experimental unit there were 15 plants, 5 of which were used as sample plants for observation. . The treatments given were various concentrations of POC, namely: A = No POC 0 ml/l water, B = POC 50 ml/l water, C = POC 100 ml/l water, D = POC 150 ml/l water, E = POC 200 ml/l water. The data obtained were analyzed statistically with the F test, if the F-count > F-table then continued with the DNMRT test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the administration of POC showed significantly different effects on the number of segments, the number of fruit planted, the number for plots, the weight of the fruit in the plantation, and the weight of the fruit in the plots; significantly different to the number of female flowers and harvest age; and not significantly different for plant length, fruit diameter and fruit length. The treatment that showed the best effect was 100 ml/l water. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to use a POC dose of 100 ml/l of water for cucumber plants.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the energy consumption of oil palm farmer households and to analyze the factors that influence energy consumption in Airapa Village, Sinunukan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. This research was conducted in June 2021. The location of the study was determined purposively with a total sample of 64 people. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method using multiple linear regression analysis. Using the SPSS version 20 program, the results showed that the energy consumption of oil palm farmers' households in Airapa Village, Sinunukan District, Mandailing Natal Regency averaged 1,896.70 kcal/capita/day or an energy consumption level of 86.21%. Variables that have a significant effect on household energy consumption of oil palm farmers in Airapa Village, Sinunukan District, Mandailing Natal Regency partially are income and food expenditure variables. Meanwhile, simultaneously (simultaneously) are household income variables, food expenditure, number of family members, mother's age, education of the head of the family with (sig 0.000 <0.05). The coefficient of determination (R2) in this study was 82.4%, meaning that the variables of household income, food expenditure, number of family members, mother's age, education of the head of the family contributed 82.4% to energy consumption.

Abstract

Poverty and the Human Development Index are important indicators to achieve the success of a country's development. Poverty is a complex problem that is still difficult to solve in almost every region. This then triggers the emergence of inequality in society. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), population growth, investment and the Human Development Index (IPM) on poverty levels and analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), unemployment rates and poverty rates on the Human Development Index (IPM)). This research was conducted from June 16 to July 16, 2021 in districts/cities of West Sumatra Province using secondary data for 2019-2020. The data analysis method used is Two Stage Least Squadrat (2SLS) with a simultaneous equation model facilitated by the eviews 9 application software. The results show that GRDP, population growth and investment have no significant effect on the poverty level, while HDI has a significant effect on the poverty level (0,05 ≥ 0,001). Then GRDP, unemployment rate and poverty rate have no significant effect pn HDI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing channel and efficiency of hybrid corn in Luhak Nan Duo District, West Pasaman Regency. The selection of this location as the research area was carried out purposively with the consideration that the area is one of the centers for hybrid corn production in West Pasaman Regency. This research was carried out from March 20 to April 20, 2021. The research method used was descriptive qualitative method. and quantitative with a sample of 62 hybrid corn farmers. The data collected in the form of primary and secondary data. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively for data related to marketing channels and functions and descriptively quantitatively for analysis of marketing efficiency. The results obtained that 1). Based on the existing marketing channel pattern, the number of hybrid corn produced from Luhak Nan Duo District reached 483,000 kg and distributed to the final consumer, namely the animal feed factory in Payakumbuh through the I.a channel. Farmers – PPD - Factory CV. Ed Farm, channel I.b. Farmers – PPD – Factory UD. Rajawali, and Channel II. Farmers – PPD – PAD – Factory PT. King of Livestock Facilities. 2). Quantitatively, the efficient marketing channel is channel I.b where marketing margin is lower; farmer's share is higher, and the profit-to-cost ratio is smaller and the sales volume is larger.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of storage time on the quality of tempeh nuggets with edible film packaging, taro starch and turmeric extract, and to find out how long the storage of tempeh nuggets resulted in damage. This study used a simple Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. Observational data were analyzed using ANOVA and further test of DNMRT at 5% significance level. The treatment in this study was the storage time of tempeh nuggets with edible film packaging for 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 days. The results showed that storage time had a significantly different effect on water content, ash content, protein content and fat content of tempe nuggets with edible film packaging. Storage of tempeh nuggets with edible film packaging was able to last up to day 12 (treatment D) with 13.93% water content, 1.95% ash content, 14.28% protein content, 18.62% fat content and organoleptic test values ​​at The 12th day showed that the tempeh nuggets had begun to experience changes in taste and texture.
