Abstract

Abstract IbM of Fish Farmer at Lack Area of Bojonegoro Regency Through Product Diversification Have a Certain Quality of Fish Cake With Seaweed Complementation (Moch. Amin Alamsjah dan Imam Suprayogi, 2011). Public service program through product diversification of fish cake from catfish with seaweed complementation for increasing of protein and iodine at lack of nutrient and disaster area of Bojonegoro Regency were done and developed by catfish farmer at Bojonegoro Regency so that it can inovate economic endeavor significantly. Response, enthuasiastic and activity of catfish farmer communities to expand diversification of catfish product with seaweed complementation were very high. Technique guidance and monitor programs must be expanded and dessiminated continuosly by Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Department and Trading and Industry Department of Bojonegoro Regency. Furthermore, networking between industry and market shall be facilitied by related institution so that catfish farmer can produce catfish flesh with seaweed complementation more better in quality and professional.

Abstract

Abstract One of Indonesia's marine living resources is seaweed. There are about 18,000 species of seaweed around the world and 25 species of which have high economic value. In indonesia, there are 555 types of seaweed and four types of which are known as export commodities, that is Euchema sp., Gracilaria sp., Gelidium sp. and Sargasum sp. One type of algae is much cultivated in the waters of Indonesia is Gracilaria sp. Seaweed is widely cultivated because it has an important role in the effort to increase fish production and preservation of biological resources. However, sometimes the other result are found a lot of waste of seaweed in the field. Utilization of seaweed waste of Gracilaria sp. can be applied into organic fertilizer that is through a biological fermentation process using microbial proteolytic. The aims of the study to determine the effect of the waste seaweed fermentation of Gracilaria sp. with Bacillus subtilis on plankton populations of Chlorophyceae. The research was perform in August 2011 at the Laboratory of Fisheries Education, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Airlangga, Surabaya. The design of experiments in this study using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were: (A) control, (B) 10ml/l of seaweed waste liquid without fermentation, (C) 5ml/l of seaweed waste liquid using fermentation, (D) 10ml/l of seaweed waste liquid using fermentation, (E) 15ml/l of seaweed waste liquid using fermentation, (F) 20ml/l of seaweed waste liquid using fermentation. The main parameter is plankton populations of Chlorophyceae, while supporting parameter water quality. Data analysis using analysis of variance (ANOVA), when there is a difference followed by Duncan's Multiple range test. The results showed that the utilization of waste seaweed of Gracilaria sp. Using fermentation with isolated bacterial of Bacillus subtilis produce significantly different population (p <0.05) and D the treatment that is 10ml/l of seaweed waste liquid using fermentation, showed the highest cell density of 264,252 cells / ml. Based on the results of Duncan's Multiple range test showed that the D treatment give the best effect among all of the treatments. Water quality parameters during the study remained within the tolerance limit for the growth of Chlorophyceae, pH 7-8 and the water temperature ranges between 2729o C.

Abstract

Abstract One method to monitor the water quality is with macrobenthos studies. Motility of macrobenthos is very rare that more showed the characteristics of an environment. The aim of this study was to know the composition distribution in the region macrobenthos of Perancak estuarine for monitoring the condition of estuaries in the region. The method used is a descriptive method of data collection. Monitoring of macrobenthos distribution includes several stages such as stage of the survey and ground check, preparation tools and materials, taking physical and chemical parameters in the field, the separation and identification of samples and the last is the data analysis. The results of this monitoring showed characteristic macrobenthos of Perancak estuarine region consists of group annelids, crustaceans, gastropods and bivalves. Diversity index (H ') may be early prediction of the environmental quality of Perancak estuarine (bio-monitoring) showed there were distinct differences in contamination concentration at each station from severe to mild category.

Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed to know the changes of the character of tuna fish (Thunnus sp.) which fermented by Lactobacillus plantarum starter culture. Factorand variable used was the time of ripening, namely: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 days. The parameters observed included: pH, Total Acid, N-Total, and NAmino. The results showed that ripening time of 6 days was the best make processing of sausage against pH, N-Total, and N-Amino value were 4.200±0.177, 3.6472±0.0386, and 0.684±0.0390 respectively, while the higher of Total acid showed that ripening time that 8 days was 3.973±0.064

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of the ratio of the number of pairs of parents against the result of the spawning of Black Tetra fish (Gymnocorymbus ternezi) about the number of egg produced, the rate conception (fertilization rate), the rate of hatching (hatching rate) and the survival rate of the fish (survival rate). The results shows that the ratio of number of pairs of black tetra fish parent has no effect but the greater the increase ratio of number of pairs of male parent black tetra fish then the number of eggs produced decrease.

Abstract

Abstract Potential resources of coastal area of Sumenep Regency is very dominant comparing other regencies of Madura islan. These regency is well known by catching production, mangrove, coral reef, seaweed, etc. Nevertheless, it has not comprehensive information especially potential resources data of coastal area of Sumenep Regency until now. Through these research, it was concluded that these area is visible to explore in fish catching, aquaculture and marine tourism.

Abstract

Abstract The growth of shrimp larvae are depend on several factors, such as natural feed. These natural feed must consist protein, carbohydrate and lipid to support survival rate. The best growth of post larvae of giant shrimp are found by Artemia sp. as natural feed, whereas number of Artemia sp. 75 sp/day can support growth of shrimp 6.901 gr/species.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to know the abundance of fish larvae in neap and tide condition in estuary of Pilang Sari river, Pidodo Kulon village, Kendal. This research is case study where the fish larvae that been caught was deeply observed in the limited time, place and population. Sample was taken in the three place. Data were collected used seine net when the neap and tide of sea level. The number of fish larva that been caught during the research are 12.983. Including from 8 genus are Stolephorus, Ambassis, Periapthalmus, Gerres, Leiognathus, Terapon, Atherinomarus. The composition of fish larvae that been caught when neap and tide was dominated by Stolephorus and Ambassis. When the new moon phase, the number of fish larvae that been caught is 1151, quarter moon is 2379, full moon is 5243 and three–quarters of the moon is 4110 fish larvae. The result of this research shows the relationship between the pattern of tide and amount of the fish larvae that been caught every moon phase. In the sping tide pattern, amount of the fish larvae that been caught was bigger than neap tide pattern. In commonly, fish larvae that been caught when the tide is bigger than abundance of fish larva that caught when the water was neap.
