Jurnal Pengabdian Mitra Masyarakat (JURPAMMAS) menitikberatkan pada penerbitan artikel hasil kegiatan pengabdian dan penelitian diaplikasikan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yang memiliki multidisiplin ilmu baik merupakan produk maupun metode. Abstract

South Pelawi Village has the potential as a rice farmer whose commodity is rice, the rice owned by farmers in South Pelawi Village is rainfed rice where the irrigation is only obtained by rain or expects rain so that the risk of drought often occurs in the area during the dry season. In the land of farmers in Pelawi Darat, in the rice field agriculture sector, farmers have complaints which are pests, pests that interfere with rice plants belonging to farmers in South Pelawi village are rice stem borer (scirpophaga sp). Rice stem borer control is usually done by means of light traps, using insecticides, and the use of natural enemies. In this pest control activity, we use an insecticide made from the chemical fipronil which is the trademark Regent.

Abstract

KKNT activities are carried out as one of the tasks of students in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service. In accordance with the goals of higher education as stated in government regulation number 60 of 1999 concerning the Implementation of Higher Education (Chapter III article 3 paragraph 4) which reads Service to the Community as an Activity to Utilize Science in an Effort to Contribute to the Advancement of Society. From all the ingredients used in the manufacture of dish soap, about 20 liters of ready-to-use products are produced, with good quality. Physical appearance and washing results give results as well as products on the market. The product is then packaged in 50 bottles of 120 ml bottles. The liquid soap products, apart from being given to the participants of the training, are also distributed free of charge to the community in III Kelurahan Besar. This community service activity has been carried out through outreach activities and direct practice of making dish soap. This activity has been proven to increase participants' knowledge and provide positive experiences in producing products that are used daily, namely soap products. Participants are sure that they will be able to make similar soap products themselves, so it is hoped that they can save on spending on buying these products.

Abstract

Calistung is a skill that includes several abilities, namely the ability to read, write and count.  The ability to read, write and count is a very important initial capital for a child in the learning process. With the ability to read, write and count can be a good start for a child so that the child can learn other knowledge, can communicate his ideas and can express himself. Therefore, failure in mastering this ability will result in fatal problems both to continue education to a higher level and in social life in society.  Pelawi Selatan Village is one of UISU's partner villages in this village, there are still many children aged 4-9 years who cannot read and write and children aged 10-12 years who are not proficient in simple calculations, this is due to the lack of ability of parents to teach their children at home and the large number of educators who do not come from among educators. The methods used in this service activity are training and mentoring through tutoring and innovative and creative learning media such as learning while singing, abacuses and teaching media that are able to explore children's creativity. This service activity is one of the derivatives of the 2022 UISU KKNT work program which will be held on July 12 – August 19, 2022. This activity was carried out as many as 12 meetings from July 18 to August 10, 2022.  Through this activity, it was obtained to increase the ability of children aged 3-8 years in reading, writing and also in addition and subtraction, as well as an increase in the ability of children aged 9-12 years in calculating multiplication and division. And also obtained the enthusiasm of children in learning which indicates an increase in the demand for learning in children.

Abstract

Shredded catfish is an instant, fast and practical food that uses catfish meat as the main raw material which is added with spices and then fried. Shredded catfish product is an alternative to extend the shelf life and increase its economic value. In the PTPN III Gunung Pamela, North Sumatra environment, many people in PTPN III Gunung Pamela have catfish ponds, so it is possible to empower the surrounding community to become Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) so that they can improve the community's economy. The shredded catfish product has its own advantages compared to other shredded fish, namely it has high nutrients, especially protein, while the cholesterol level is low, besides that it also contains leucine and lysine.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to introduce live pharmacies to certain groups of people and to convey information about the benefits of living pharmacies in the yard of the house as a material to use to maintain body immunity during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this community service is counseling in the form of providing education by explaining how important it is for us to plant live pharmacy plants and their benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic and then invite these residents to participate in the implementation of planting live pharmacies in the village. The selected target community is the Karang Gading Village Community, Kec. Kab. Stabat. Langkat. The results of this activity can make local residents better understand how to cultivate herbal plants and their uses.
