Journal of Arabic Education and Linguistics adalah jurnal ilmiah yang mulai menerbitkan artikel semi-online pada tahun 2021 dan seluruhnya online pada tahun 2022. Jurnal ini disediakan untuk ahli linguistik Arab, peneliti dan praktisi Pendidikan bahsa Arab di seluruh dunia, dan arsiparis yang membutuhkan atau tertarik untuk mengikuti perkembangan dan isu-isu pendidikan bahasa Arab terkini. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dan dibiayai oleh Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, dan secara teratur menerbitkan nomor isu pada bulan Juni dan Desember. Semua artikel yang dikirimkan akan diperiksa dengan tepat oleh editor jurnal dan dikirim ke peer reviewer kami. Abstract

This research tries to apply differentiated learning in improving the mastery of mufradat class XI A students at MTs NW Mercapada. Differentiated learning itself is learning based on the Merdeka curriculum. The purpose of this research is to determine the results of implementing differentiated learning in improving students' mastery of mufradat. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method where the researcher is directly involved in the process. Data collection methods are observation, interviews and documentation. Descriptive data analysis techniques in qualitative research are the process of analyzing, describing and summarizing events or phenomena. The results of this research show that differentiated learning is effective in improving students' mastery of mufradat in class IX A MTs NW Mercapada, as well as making learning more fun and varied according to students' interests.

Abstract

This research aims to describe models and theories of second language acquisition in psycholinguistic studies. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, which focuses on description and data analysis to understand the phenomenon being studied in depth. The method used in this research is library research, where researchers collect data from scientific articles and books that are relevant to the research topic. The data obtained was then analyzed using content analysis techniques, namely the researcher identified themes and patterns in the data collected. The research results show several theories from language experts and linguists which describe the theory of second language acquisition developed by psychologists and linguists such as B.F. Skinner, Noam Chomsky and Stephen D Krashen. All three will provide broad insight into the concrete empirical aspects as well as the abstract intuitive aspects of second language acquisition.

Abstract

Fokus pelitian ini pada makna kata al-Ummah dalam Alqur'an tinjauan sosial-kewargaan. Tulisan ini ingin menggali lebih jauh makna kata al-Ummah dengan mengungkap lebih dalam klasifikasi makna al-Ummah dan menyingkap dimensi sosial-kewargaan dalam konsep al-Ummah. Tentunya untuk mengungkap hal tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pendekatan normatif yang diimpelementasikan dengan menjadikan norma linguistik dan sosial-kewargaan sebagai rujukan. Untuk pengolahan data, metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dan metode analisisnya melalui analisis sintagmatik dan analisis paradigmatik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kata al-Ummah dalam Alqur'an melalui analisis makna relasional mencakup makna nation dan umat masyarakat, makna golongan, makna agama, makna imam dan makna waktu. Sedangkan dari tinjauan soasial-kewargaan, kata al-Ummah mengandung dua makna yaitu makna kesatuan (ummah wahidah) yang berarti persatuan dalam keberagaman dan umat moderat (ummah wasath) memiliki makna keseimbangan dalam segala aspek kehidupan. Dengan demikian tulisan ini dapat memberikan sumbangsi dalam memperkuat persatuan dan kesatuan kewargaan sehingga dapat menciptakan kedamaian melalui keseimbangan hidup.

Abstract

This research discusses the critical study of Arabic textbooks at the Tahfizhul Qur'an Imam An-Nasa'i Gowa Islamic Boarding School at the wust}a level, based on the achievement of four language skills. The aim of this research is to find out how the availability of teaching materials in the books Ha>z\ihi> Lugati> and al-Muyassar fi> 'Ilmin Nahwi fulfills the four language skills. This type of research includes library research with a qualitative descriptive analysis type. The data sources for this research are scientific literature, documents from interviews, observations, and other supporting data sources. Data is collected from references that are considered representative and from respondents who have a direct connection to the research. The data is then classified, selected and quoted according to its relevance to the problem being studied and then analyzed using a document study approach. The results of this research show, 1) The books "Ha>z\ihi> Lugati>" and "al-Muyassar fi> 'Ilmin Nahwi" are taught at the Tahfizhul Qur'an Imam An-Nasa'i Islamic Boarding School in classes VII-IX, 2 ) In the book "Ha>z\ihi> Lugati>" volumes 1-6 have facilitated four language skills with an average of each skill, namely 21.30 % istima>', 33.57 % kala>m, 23.42 % us >bah, and 21.71 % qira>'ah. This shows that there is a balance in the portion of each skill. Meanwhile, the book "al-Muyassar fi> 'Ilmin Nahwi" volume 1 has not yet facilitated a maximum of four language skills with the percentages obtained being 1.75 % istima>', 47.37 % kala>m, 42.11 % us>bah , and 8.77% qira>'ah, 3) Based on the analysis of the content of teaching materials and the number of lesson hours applied, there is a gap in achieving the Arabic language curriculum targets. So the Tahfizhul Qur'an Imam An-Nasa'i Islamic Boarding School in Gowa must immediately evaluate the target for Arabic language teaching materials at the Wust}a level.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of YouTube social media in Arabic language lessons for 7th-grade female students at SMP IT Al Insyirah in Makassar City and to assess the application of YouTube social media in enhancing the listening skills of these students. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research using the Kurt Lewin model, which consists of two cycles, with each cycle comprising one or more meetings. The sample for this research consists of 10 female students from the 7th grade at SMP IT Al Insyirah in Makassar City. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and documentation. The tests include both pre-tests and post-tests. The pre-test is conducted at the beginning of the session before students receive treatment or engage in the learning process involving the use of YouTube social media. The post-test is conducted at the end of each meeting in each cycle. Data analysis techniques involve using percentage calculation formulas and mean values for the analysis of the improvement in listening skills. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of YouTube social media in Arabic language lessons led to an improvement in the listening skills of 7th-grade female students at SMP IT Al Insyirah from the pre-cycle to cycle II. According to the test results conducted during the learning process in the classroom, the pre-cycle average score was 29%, the cycle I average score increased to 68%, and the cycle II average score was 90.5%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of YouTube social media in each cycle contributes to a significant enhancement in listening skills with a category of excellent.
