Abstract

This study aims to examine enhancement of critical thinking ability of the students who got learning with problem posing approach and the students who got direct instruction. This study employed experimental research with Pretest-Post-test two treatment design.  The population in this study were class VIII the students of one MTsN in Pekanbaru. For sample for this study, two classes were taken as experimental class by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments which were used were in the forms of critical thinking ability tests.  The findings of this study were: (1) Critical thinking ability of the students who get learning with Problem Posing approach was better than the students who got Direct Instruction and (2) The enhancement of mathematical critical thinking ability of the students who got learning with Problem Posing approach was better than the students who got Direct Instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini yang belum terselesaikan dari dulu hingga sekarang yaitu minimnya ketersediaan lapangan kerja bagi para lulusan SMK, membuat jumlah pengangguran dengan latar belakang pendidikan SMK semakin meningkat, terlebih pada masa pandemic saat ini. Fenomena tersebut merupakan sebuah permasalahan untuk para lulusan SLTA juga termasuk para siswa sekolah yang saat pandemic ini sedang menuntut ilmu guna mempersiapkan diri untuk menyongsong masa depan. Dengan adanya fenomena seperti itu, para siswa harus memiliki optimisme yang tinggi agar dapat mempersiapkan diri sebaik mungkin untuk menghadapi masa depannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara variable self esteemdengan optimisme masa depan pada siswa SMK. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK ITENAS kelas XII. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan teknik quota sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan mencari hubungan antara variabel self esteem dengan optimisme masa depan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala self esteem dan skala optimisme. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (r hitung) sebesar 0.694 lebih besar dari r tabel 0.195, artinya ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara self esteemdengan optimisme masa depan. This research is based on the current problem that is lack of jobs for high school graduates. Therefore the number of unemployed is increasing, especially during a pandemic like now. That phenomenon is a problem for every freshgraduates even for students who are currently facing a pandemicproblems in learning. Therefore, every student’s must have high optimism in order to prepare themselves as best as possible for their future. This research aims to examine the correlation between self-esteem and future optimism of Vocational High School students. The population in this research were 12th grade of ITENAS’S Vocational High School students. The sampling technique used was the quota sampling technique. This research is a correlational quantitative research between self-esteem and future optimism. Data collection was done using a self-esteem and optimism scales. The data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation. Based on the results of the analysis obtained the correlation coefficient value of 0.694 which is biger than the r-table value of 0.195, it means that there is a very significant positive correlation between self-esteem and future optimism.

Abstract

Background: Physical activity is a part of exercise, considered the cornerstone in treating type 2 diabetes. Physical activity controls blood glucose directly circulating and increases tissue sensitivity to insulin, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, and reduces mortality. Objective: This study aims to determine the difference in changes in blood sugar given through the Physical Activity Health Module (PA) media. Design: This study used pre-experimental using two groups of pre-test and post-test. The sample is 100 people who have DMT2 in Takalar Regency. The research results show a significant difference between the provision of education through the health module media to changes in blood sugar. Conclusion: Giving the Physical Activity (PA) health module can reduce blood sugar levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus type. Recommendation: The Physical Activity Health (PA) module is the evidence base to assist decision-makers, especially for nurses holding the Diabetes Mellitus program, in making relevant policies. It is also essential to design effective promotion and prevention programs to improve health services, especially promoting physical activity programs for DMT2 patients

Abstract

Karyawan merupakan motor penggerak agar proses bisnis dalam sebuah perusahan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan kompetensi karyawan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah pengangkatan karyawan menjadi karyawan tetap untuk menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang baru.Seleksi pengangkatan karyawan tetap pada PT. Pana Indo Alkestama seringkali terjadi kekeliruan, salah satunya adalah pemilihan tenaga kerja yang masih tidak obyektif atau masih tergantung atasannya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK). solusi hal tersebut yaitu menerapkan metode pengambilan keputusan yaitu AHP dan TOPSIS. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada responden diantaranya: manager HRD, Staf HRD, dan Administrasi. Kemudian data tersebut diolah menggunakan Microsoft Excel.Hasil pada metode AHP dan TOPSIS dengan alternatif terpilih sama yaitu Bapak Syaiful. Dapat diketahui bahwa metode AHP dan TOPSIS relevan untuk pemilihan karyawan tetap di PT Pana Indo Alkestama.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melatih guru-guru bagaimana strategi pembelajaran yang kreatif diterapkan dalam proses belajar dan mengajar pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Target khusus yang hendak dicapai dalam kegiatan pelatihan adalah peningkatan penguasaan guru terhadap strategi pembelajaran yang kreatif dalam proses belajar dan mengajar sehingga pembelajaran menjadi efektif. Target sasaran kegiatan pelatihan adalah guru-guru SMP Negeri 15 Palu. Peserta pelatihan ditentukan berdasarkan kesediaan guru-guru mengikuti pelatihan sebanyak dua puluh lima (25) guru dengan menerapkan metode pelatihan berbasis ceramah, tanya jawab dan kelompok diskusi terpusat (FGD). Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang terdiri dari 20 item dan diolah dengan menggunakan statistic deskriptif. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan item berada pada skala 2 sampai 4 dengan rata-rata 3,51 pada skala 4, atau 87,7 pada skala 100, atau pada tingkat sangat baik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan penguasaan guru tentang strategi pembelajaran yang kreatif. The aim of this community service activity is to train teachers how to implement strategis of creative instruction in the learning and teaching process at the junior high school (SMP) level. The specific target to be achieved in training activities is teacher mastery of creative instruction strategis in the teaching and learning process so that the learning and teaching process becomes effective. The participants of the training are teachers at SMP Negeri 15 Palu. The training participants, the target communities, were determined based on the willingness of twenty-five (25) teachers to participate in the training. The training was conducted by applying lecture-based training method, questions and answers, and focus group discussion. Data was collected through questionnaires consisting of 20 items and the results was analysed using descriptive statistics. The results of the data analysis show that all items are on a range of between 2 and 4 with an average of 3.51 on a scale of 4, or 87.7 on a scale of 100, or at a very good level. These results indicate that the training was successful in increasing teachers' mastery on creative instruction strategies

Abstract

Borrowing money through Mobile Bank in people's lives is still common. This is because the needs are getting more urgent but the producers are not directly proportional to the income. For some people who are in a race between needs and income, borrowing money from a mobile bank is one solution, because the mobile bank offers an easy disbursement system. Therefore, this study reveals the Islamic view of the practice of lending money through mobile banks through a qualitative approach.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the weakness of vocational high school graduates who have not been widely absorbed by the business and industrial world in West Java. The general aim of this research is to obtain an overview and analyze the management of implementing the teaching factory program in increasing the employment rate in the business and industrial world at vocational schools. This research specifically aims to describe and analyze: 1) Planning the teaching factory program; 2) Organizing the teaching factory program; 3) Implementation of the teaching factory program; and 4) Supervision of the teaching factory program. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out through interviews, observation and document study. The results of this research show the following: 1) The planning of the teaching factory program has been planned based on the vocational school teaching factory program planning guidelines; 2) The organization of the teaching factory program has been organized based on the main tasks and functions of the vocational school; 3) The implementation of the teaching factory program is carried out in accordance with the teaching factory guidelines from the Directorate of Vocational Schools, but in the product and service aspects there are still some weaknesses; and 4) Supervision of the teaching factory program was found to have been supervised with reference to the supervision aspects determined by the Vocational School Directorate. The conclusions from this research show that the management of implementing the teaching factory program in Vocational High Schools is able to absorb graduates to work and have competencies in accordance with the demands of the business and the industrial worlds, but it is still found that in several schools this teaching factory program has not been able to be implemented due to limited facilities and infrastructure that demands to have such standards in companies and industries.
