Abstract

Indonesia consumed large amount of electrical energy which mostly generated using conventional resources which was dimisihing. Therefore, government released national energy policy aimed at reducing the use of fossil-based energy and increasing the role of renewable energy. One of the renewable energy source was solar photovoltaic. Udayana University had the potential to develop photovoltaic system on all of its premises and one of them was Udayana Hospital. In this research, a study on the potential of rooftop PV at Udayana University Hospital was presented. It was found that the hospital had the potential to generate total electrical power of 835,560 Wp. Our study showed that Building #1 can potentialy generate 142,560 Wp on its rooftop which capable to supply 31.32% of energy consumption in the building. It was found Building #1 could produce energy of arround 166,407 kWh annualy that was equal to 22.6% of the electrical energy consumption of the building. By incorporating the roof of ground car parking canopy, the PV system could generate total power of 226,710 Wp which was equal to 46.98% of Building #1 total power when it was fully operational. It was estimated that this the combination of rooftop and parking PV could generate energy of 249,610 kWh annualy which was equal to 32.8% of the electric energy consumption of Building.

Abstract

Abstract—Bali province is one of 34 provinces of Indonesia and according to General Plan of National Energy it was expected to develop around 110 MW solar PV by 2025. Economically, Bali is considered as the center of Indonesian tourism industry. A wide range of accommodations have been developed to support the industry including villa. In this paper, potential of rooftop PV of villas in Bali is presented. Rooftop PV capacity was designed with objective to meet 23% of the villa’s energy consumption. Two villas in the southern of Bali were taken as examples. Energy audit was conducted to study the energy usage of both villas. Based on the design objective, 13,7 kWp grid-connected PV was proposed for each of the villa. With these results, it was projected that all villas in Bali could add solar PV capacity around 34,8 MWp which canpotentialy generateannual energy of 54.741 MWh. Investment analysis and environmental performance are also included on this paper. The results presented here will help provincial and district governments of Bali to get insight into potential of tourism sector to support PV development and subsequentlyto developappropriate policies and regulations to accelerate the uptake of rooftop PV in Bali.

Abstract

Abstract—Image sharpening is an image optimization technique by combining two satellite images by taking advantage of each images, so that the output image has good spectral and spatial quality. Image sharpening is an alternative to facilitate the recognition of an object, moreover for Landsat satellites has many bands that can be used as samples for the image sharpening process. One method used in image sharpening is Brovey Transformation. This method is widely used because it is very simple and easy in making the algorithm. The Bands which is used in the image sharpening process are composite bands (red, green, and blue) with panchromatic bands from the Landsat 8 satellite. The results of the image sharpening process are high spectral images obtained from composite images and spatial values obtained from panchromatic images. Analysis of the results of image sharpening using the Brovey Transform method is done by comparing the quality of the truecolor image before sharpened and the image that has been sharpened by calculating the maximum and minimum values of the red, green and blue bands, analyzing the mean values and also the standard deviation values of each image. Key Words— Brovey Transformation, Composite, Image Sharpening, Landsat 8

Abstract

The process of describing parts of the human body, to be able to find any disease that exists in the body parts caused by bacteria and viruses is called the Medical Image. CT Scanning, MRI, X-Ray, is a medical image that is commonly found in general in the form of analog data. The amount of important information contained in medical images causes the size of the medical image file to be relatively large. The need for large data storage media and long delivery times is caused by large medical image data. This study aims to realize a fractal-based medical image codec by testing its performance on several coding entropy techniques. The analysis of this study was based on the PSNR, Image Size and Time Taken needed to compress one image. The conclusion obtained from this analysis shows that the Arithmetic method has more advantages in the field of PSNR, Compression Ratio, Size Image produced along with Time Taken in the compression process, where 15 images of 100% images are better results using the Arithmetic method than by using the Adaptive Huffman method. Keywords — Adaptive Huffman, Arithmetic, Codec, Fractal, Image, Medical.

Abstract

Abstract— The motorcycle is one of the most widely used types of transportation in Indonesia. The disadvantage of the motor currently lies in its safety. Motorcycle security system with a Microcontroller-based GPS Tracker and an Android Application function to monitor and control the motorcycle through the Android application. Security system testing with three main tests. Testing of motorcycle safety equipment is done by testing each module. Android application testing is done by running the monitoring and control functions. Testing the communication with the application is done by sending commands from the smartphone to the device. The system can run all commands. Motorcycle safety devices can communicate with Android applications and can detect coordinates. The Simcard operator affects the network installation time on the SIM900A module where Telkomsel has a speed of 6 seconds, M3 has 31 seconds and XL has 310 seconds. There is a difference between the reading value between the actual distance of the motorcycle and the distance of the motorcycle to the instrument reaching 4 meters. Abstract

One method to process toxic waste of hospital is incinerator. An incinerator burns hospital toxic waste at high temperatures. Many hospitals have to transport their toxic waste to rhid party location which often far away. In Bali, there are 62 hospitals with 6.195 beds with 5.584.310 annual visits from patients from patients and therefore generate large amount of toxic waste. Hospitals in Bali have to send their waste to incinerators in other island a few thousand kilometres away. This practice is expensive and add more environmental problems due to emmisions from transport vehicle and traffic congestion on the Java to Bali land transports. One solution is to develop small sclae incinerator near hospital’s site. This paper discuses the development of small incinerator in Denpasar city of Bali covering insvestment, performance metric, and economical feasibilty. The project is funded by international aid and currently the only incinerator on the island. Description of the plant component, environmental metric, investment analysis Keywords — Hospital, waste treatment, toxic waste, incinerator, environmental, economical feasibility, NPV, payback period, energy conservation.

Abstract

At present all aspects of electricity are carried out by PT. PLN (Persero) throughout Indonesia. There are still many villages in Indonesia that are dark or not yet electrified. It is recorded that up to now 2,500 villages have not yet been connected to electricity. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has now sought a solution so that 2,500 villages can enjoy electricity. One of them is by using renewable energy. One of them is PLTS Datah, the asset is not functioning anymore and in some parts there is damage. Asah Teben Hamlet, Datah Village has an area of ??6.74 km2 which has a fairly high population with a population of 315 family heads in 2018. With such density, the water needs of each person are more than 150 liters per day per person. With the energy generated at 10 kWp, it is expected that later the need for clean water in residential areas of around 315 families can be fulfilled. With the existing water source, it can meet the water needs of residents in Asah Teben Datah Hamlet. From the calculation results, the water price is Rp. 1,288 is cheaper than the PDAM water price of Rp. 1,500. The price of water is quite cheap and can be reached by residents.
