Abstract

Abstract : This paper reveals some poor elements in the Indonesian education. There are several structures in education that need to be update. If this condition is left just like that, then education will not lead to the transformation of the intellect which is expected to advance the nation. Dhicotomy in education, and lack of ability of teachers, are elements that need to observed. Moreover, that ideal Islamic educational system improvement needs to be done, namely with integralistic education, humanistic, pragmatic, and rooted in a strong culture. The system needs to be refreshed to get composition of the ideal to transform the concept and implementation knowledge. However, the need to also understand the performance of the basic philosophical framework of Islamic teachings for a change with a definite direction. Therefore, education can be relevant to the needs of society in turmoil facing science and sophisticated technology. Keywords: Education, System, Islam, Indonesia, Change, and Society.

Abstract

Abstract: To be accepted by society the emergency of literary work requires a decription of critics as a moderator. The existence of educational discourse in the novel Laskar Pelangi as a major significance in the text, making more public attention drawn to wonder how the author reveals the values of education throught literature. Description critic of the discourse of education and then supported by an educational institution makes the publication of this novel spread rapidly. Yet, there is the publishing industry who benefited, namely promotion to attract consumers. This condition is not realized with the efforts undertaken to mobilize communities into the world of discourse that has been conditioned. There are those who playing around, which then provide legitimacy for the determination of both (appraisal) of such literary works under the direction of education to attract public attention. Abstract

Abstract : Education can work as an effort to preserve the cultural value system to the children of the nation. This condition was by done by the Old Oder and News Order in order to transform the ideology. Education tries to transform knowledge in the area of reconstruction, especially the reconstruction of culture to position a new value system. With the change in the framework of human thought, the concept of culture itself will shift. Here, the importance of education as a system of meaning that is not binding (the process of liberation), humanizing, and caviling process. This will be done properly if there is critical thinking about methodology, social structure, the rules so that no further transformation. Abstract

Abstract : Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) sangat cekatan dalam mengolah kata. Lantaran ucapan atau perbuatannya acapkali memicu kontroversi, ia sering berlindung di balik kata-kata (hedging), dan membuat analogi yang powerful dalam bereaksi terhadap persoalan dan tuduhan yang dilontarkan padanya. Dia melakukan hedging sehingga bisa menghindari sesuatu yang tidak menyenangkan atau tidak diinginkan terhadapnya. Dengan menggunakan kata-kata atau kalimat tertentu, ia mengangkis pertanyaan atau menjelaskan kebijakannya, tanpa membuat si penanya atau pemrotes tersinggung. Tanpa perlu berdebat panjang, jawaban Gus Dur tadi telah bisa ‘membungkam’ si penanya. Kata kunci: Hedging, Aksi, dan Keputusan.

Abstract

Abstract : Geometry is one of the most important topics in mathematic. A teacher may know students’ geometric thought so the students can learan effectively. This paper describes how student learn to reason in geometry referring to Van Hiele theory. The best know part of the theory are the five levels which the van Hieles postulated. The levels are visualization, analysis, abstraction, deduction and rigor. The study shows that the student are in alanysis level generally. Abstract

Abstract: Essentially all children are smart, and intelligence of every child is different, parents and teachers only need to provide the right environment to deliver the full potential of intelligence. In the early childhood education, parent and teacher is not teaching, but are stimulating the child to their own intelligence, resulting in the child-centered learning. Stimulation can be provided by way of giving children the opportunity to become intelligent and creative. Allow the child to freely make, hold, draw, shape, or make the child’s own way and describe his own experience. When children develop imagination and intelligence, then they also can generate innovative ideas and way out in resolving the problem. One way that could turn creativity sparks of early childhood is to liberate the child to pours his thoughts. Abstract

Abstract: This paper discussed the role of sport in modern development that need to be addressed critically. Modern life makes kids, teen, even parents only move within a narrow room. They exercise less, resulting in excess weight, and other diseases. They need the exercise. Exercise can actually display the lesson of life for one’s ethics. However, implementation of the sport requires a knowledge or education, which will direct a person to exercise properly and correctly. The presence of Olympics (competition) makes a lot of people who exercise justifies any means. Therefore, educator, teacher, or coach must be wise in putting the competition in learning of physical education and sports. Keyword: Sport, Physical Education, Ethics, Olympism, and Teaching.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia consists of various racial, ethnic or religious group. Therefore, need awareness of the Society to perform in a more understanding and assessment in education. Discourse on diversity must be addressed wisely so as not to bring any conflict, as had happened some time ago. Pluralist-multicultural concept seems appropriate to be applied in education as an understanding and assessment of diversity in Indonesia to raise harmony together and prevent the conflict. Education made special shots because this is where the search process beginning stock of one’s life meaning. Abstract

Abstract: This paper describes the teaching model “One Became Tens” and geguritan’s writing in high school. Based on the problems that many high school students who have difficulty writing geguritan. The existence of the Java language subjects of 2004’s curriculum requires students fluent on the Java language, and one implementation is to write geguritan. Number of student who are feels alienated with the Java language (although as a mother language) is a condition of concern. “One Became Tens” teaching model is an innovative learning model conducted by the author in teaching geguritan which aims to improve productivity to create geguritan in high school. This is done because the teacher should realize that writing skills rely on language skills that are active and productive. Keywords: Models of learning, Teachers, learners, and Geguritan.

Abstract

Abstract: Traditional teaching approach is teacher (teacher directive), while the contemporary approach is focused on the role of the learners (experience-based instruction) in achieving the goals of behavior, which is known through direct experience with the approach of experiential learning. Contemporary approach is expected to increase the understanding and the quality of the lesson learned. This paper will review the approach to experiential learning, and several methods of teaching.
