Abstract

This study is brought about from three main reasons; namely the rise of  the  theory  of  multiple  intelligence,  students'  inability  tounderstandtheir talents and interests, and absence of a standardized instrumentof multiple intelligence. Based on these concerns, this study is  aimed at developing an instrument useful to disclose the multiple intelligenceprofiles of students of the senior high school in Indonesia. Thestudy uses the quantitative approach. Data collecting processes, however, are supported by the qualitative method. The subjects of this researchare students of the senior high school in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakartatotalling at 920 students. Quantitative data collection is carriedout by the instrument and then the data are analized using the SPSSprogram package.  Qualitative data collection is done through discussions and expert judgements.  Using  a content validity test as the measure for  validity,  a  model  of  the  instrument  of  the  multiple intelligenceis developed to measure the tendencies of the senior high school students' interests and talents. The instrument is divided into twoparts. Thefirst is to measure the students' talents and the second is to measure the students' interests. Using the item selection technique for the measure of reliability, the realibility of test is represented by the coefficient count of 0.9044 for scale I and 0.6789for scale 2. These results show that this instrument is valid and realible

Abstract

The main problems  in  this study  are how  moral  learning  is achieved by the Islamic Law subject in the PPKN Department (now: PKnH) of the Social Science Faculty (now: FISE) ofYogyakarta State University and what factors  influence moral learning in the Islamic Law subject. The study is qualitative and descriptive survey research. The data were obtained by questionnaires and interviews with the students taking the Islamic Law subject. The results show that Islamic law learning is one of the moral learning. The moral learning achieved through the Islamic Law subject manifests in many ways, i.e.: 1) Almost all instructional topics contain moral values, 2) Learning strategies which endorse moral problems are the dialogue and speech method and the discussion  method, and 3)  The assessment process  which endorses moral problems is that related to the students' behaviours and attitudesfrom the beginning until the end of the learning process. The main factors   obstructing  the  moral  learning  are: 1)  The  basic competence of students in PPKN is heterogeneous, 2)  The students' interest in moral problems  is not high, and 3)  Moral  learning is difficult.

Abstract

This action research is aimed at (1) improving students 'participation in the class of Horverstehen Ill, (2) improving students' motivation in joining Horverstehen 111, (3) improving  students' positive attitudes to study of Horverstehen Ill, and (4) improving students' achievement in Horverstehen III. The subjects are students of the German Departement FBS UNY who take Horverstehen 111 in academic year 200612007. This studyis carried in the Dreamlab. The study consists of two cycles. First cycle, aimed at improving students' attitudes to participate and share activities during the instructional interaction ofHorverstehen III by interactive self-supporting method. Classes are carried out in systematicly, collectively, collaboratively, reflectively, and critically. The second cycle, executed as according to result of first cycle evaluation, and suggestion of student and collaborator. Monitoring and evaluation through observation, questionnaire, and test, which its result used for the reflection of to action. And is hereinafter used to improve; repair insujjiency so that action more success. The result showed that evaluatedfrom process facet, product facet, and value facet. Process facet marked the existence of academic atmosphere, more motivation, and spirit of doing high duties. Productfacet marked by result of work of student in theform of eight duty of Horverstehen which have been sent to lecturer enamel. Valuefacet marked by the existence of more reached score ofstudent offirst duty till eight duty. As for total score which obtained by student is value of A counted 29,41%, value B (47,05%) and also assess C (23,52%)

Abstract

This study was aimed at revealing: (1)  the effect of the work experience (working period and training period)  on employability skills mastery level (technological skills, fundamental skills, personal management skills, and work skills); and (2)  the effect of working period, employability skills mastery level, employability skills used, andfrequency of employability skills used on earnings. The subjects of the study  were ITHVS  graduate  workforces  of Bandar  Lampung Municipality. The datafor study were collected through questionnaires (selfreports). The statistical analysis techniques used were canonical correlation and multiple regression. The results of the study show that: (1) The canonical  independent  variable  (the working period  and training period)  has a positive  impact on technological skills (with canonical loading 0.98), on fundamental  skills (0.06), on personal management skills (0.57), on team work skills (0.12); and (2)  the earning received by the ITVHS' graduate workers is only affected by their workingperiod (earnings = 698,185 + 23,383 workingperiod)

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know whether there was any positive and significant relationship between the ability of effectively listening and recording learning material and the chemistry study achievement of students of MAN Maguwoharjo Yogyakarta. The study was designed as of one sample and three variables. The population was designated to be all the students of class X semester 2 MAN Maguwoharjo  Yogyakarta it the academic year of 2006/2007 consisting of 96 students. Sixty-four students were taken as the subjects by cluster random sampling for two classes (class XB and XC). The free variable was effective listening and recording in chemistry classes, and the binding variable was chemistry study achievement of the students. Three instruments were utilized; namely a questionnaire of listening ability, a value sheet of the recording books, and a test of chemistry study achievement. The data were analyzed by double regression and yielded an Ry(1,2) of 0.546. The first and second grade correlation coefficients (r1-2) were 0,393 and 0.369, respectively. The significance test yielded a value of F of 12,933 against the F table of 3.148 on the significance level of 5% with the df of 2 versus 61. The statistics  showed  that  there was  a positive  and  significant  relationship between the ability of effectively listening and recording of chemistry matter, either separately or together, on the chemistry study achievement  of the students. The relative contributions of the ability of effective listening on the chemistry study achievement were 53,05% and 15,80, The effective contributions of the ability of effective recording on the chemistry study achievement were 46,95% and 13,98%.

Abstract

The aim of learning and teaching process are depends on involve betwen teacher and student andfasility that are same with combined in material was learned. In thephysics learning, it is usuallyused by TPK with eksperimental method there is a skill process approach used by teacher  to  increase  the  student  learning  result.  The  TPK  are purposeses  to make the student exercise learn in groups, and make teacher easy to look for personal  student ability. To evaluate stutent ability,  the  method  used  are  discriftif  method  applied  with LKS (Student Work Sheet) is prepared by researcher and all laboratory equipments, than students try to arrange the eksperimental design according to the instructions. This researchfound that all of laerning result of students are 85 %. It  means that TPK as an evaluation instrument of skill process  approach developed by teacher, can be optimalisation as an intruments ofstudent learning assesment. Finally, this research conclude  that student skill process  can  be  increase rapidly in the short time of alllearningprocess
