Abstract

Financial performance analysis is performed to measure the achievement of the company from the financial side.This study aimed to test the influence of firm size, leverage and capital structure, either partially or simultaneously, to company financial performance on manufacturing company Miscellaneous Industries sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. The data used in this analysis is the is the reference point secondary data in the form of financial report published by IDX. The sample in this study were 36 companies. Data Analysis technique used in this research are simple and multiple linear regression. Results of the study stated that leverage effect significantly to company financial performance, firm size and capital structure are not effect significantly to company financial performance, and simultaneously there was significant influence between firm size, leverage and capital structure to company financial performance.

Abstract

The development and competition of the motorcycle’s industry business is increasing rapidly. They compete in providing the best product’s quality to retain their customers. This research was conducted on PT. Yamaha Mataram Sakti Purworejo. From sales data of Yamaha Mio on PT. Yamaha Mataram Sakti Purworejo it can be found that there are fluctuations of sales. As a company that engaged in transportation sector, PT. Yamaha Mataram Sakti Purworejo must provide positive word of mouth to its customers to convince them that Yamaha Mio has good brand image so it can cultivate strong brand trust on consumers. This study aims to determine the effect of Word of Mouth (X1), Brand Image (X2), and Brand Trust (X3) on consumer purchasing decisions (Y) on PT. Yamaha Mataram Sakti Purworejo. Type of research that used is explanatory research with data collection methods using interviews and data collection tools using questionnaires with a sample of 100 respondents PT. Yamaha Mataram Sakti Purworejo customers using the Purposive Sampling method. The analysis technique used are validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test, and F test with SPSS 21. From the result of research indicate that word of mouth have strong influence to purchasing decision equal to 54,1%, brand image have good influence to purchasing decision equal to 55,8%, while brand trust influence strong to decision of purchase equal to 68,9%. It shows that brand trust variable to purchase decision variable has higher influence than word of mouth and brand image. Researcher suggests to improve purchase decision is to improve the inovation of model’s product, to improve the difference of colour type, to improve good machine and fluel, to improve the accuration information of Yamaha Mio’s quality, to make strong promotion to target market in mass media and electronic media, and to improve the service quality of PT. Yamaha Mataram Sakti Purworejo.

Abstract

Many new hotels in Semarang mark the increasingly intense competition in the hospitality industry. Hotel entrepreneurs are required to compete in attracting consumers, many ways that are done by doing promotions, discounts, advertising and so forth. One way that is used is to provide the best service for consumers. Hotel Ciputra as one of the renowned hotels in the city of Semarang always improve the quality of its service to satisfy the consumers. The emergence of five-star hotels such as Gumaya Tower Hotel, Crowne Plaza and Grand Candi Hotel, make Hotel Ciputra must do an evaluation to keep customers to be loyal. The problem of this research is that in 2014 the employee performance score of 80.0% there is decreasing performance in 2015 to 75,8% and in 2016 equal to 74,9%. The performance appraisal does not reach the 85% standard set by Hotel Ciputra. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of career development and physical work environment on employee performance Hotel Ciputra Semarang. This type of research is Explanatory research. Sampling technique using Probability Sampling method. Probability Sampling is a sampling technique that provides equal opportunity for each element (member) of the population to be elected as a sample member. The number of samples taken as many as 111 respondents. Data were analyzed through validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, T test, and F test with SPSS program aid. Based on the results of the analysis, showed that Career Development variables are in the strong category. Career Development has a positive effect on employee performance and contributed 36.9%. The Physical Work Environment is in the medium category. Physical Work Environment positively affects employee performance and contributes 30% to employee performance.

Abstract

One stock price is determined by public trust towards a company. The public will be more trust in companies which have experiences in dealing with problems and have a lot of assets. Hence, this can minimize the possibility of companies not paying dividends to shareholders and the possibility of being bankrupt. The hypothesis is that the capital structure, firm size, and firm age, the capital structure moderated by firm size and firm age have a significant positive effect on the value of manufacturing companies focused on food and beverage. The type of research which is used is explanatory research.In this study, there is no sample and the population is taken by purposive–judgment, there are 30 data in this research. The analytical method used by using simple linear analysis, multiple linear analysis, F test, t test and interaction test. All of the analysis is done using SPSS for Windows version 24.0. The results show that the variable of DAR gave a significant positive effect and had an influence of 21.5% against firm value. The variable of DER gave a significant positive effect and had an influence of 49.2% against firm value.The firm size variable has a negative effect and am influence of 39,3% to company value. Company age variable have a positive effect and have 15.5% influence to company value. The firm size variable as a moderator variable has a negative relation to firm value. Company age variable as moderator variable have positive relation to firm value. Based on the results, it is advisable for the company to maintain the stability of capital structure by using internal and external capital sources as well as maintaining financial condition. Thus, the company can grow and survive for a long time. It is expected that the stock price as an indicator of the value of the food and beverage sub-sector will increase.

Abstract

Creative industry especially in fashion sector have a high potential to boost Indonesian economy. One of the business sector of fashion industry in Indonesia is batik craft business.This research aims to know the influence of Product Quality, Service Quality, and Brand Image towards Buying Decision of Batik Product of Omah Batik Ngesti Pandowo.Sample in this research are 100 consumers who have purchased the product of Omah Batik Ngesti Pandowo. Data analysis that is used are validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, and test of significance ( t and F test) proceed by SPSS Program. The result of this research shows that product quality, service quality, and brand image have positive influence towards buying decision partially and simultantly. The conclusion for this research is the better Omah Batik Ngesti Pandowo’s product quality, service quality, and brand reputation are, the higher buying decision that is done by the consumers of Omah Batik Ngesti Pandowo.

Abstract

Bread is one of the sources of carbohydrates beside rice. Currently, the function of bread is not only eaten for breakfast but also for lunch and dinner because bread is simple food to eat for consumers with multitask activity. Sari Roti product which has variety of bread such as white bread, sweet bread, sandwich, and dorayaki produced by PT. Nippon Indosari,Tbk. This research aims to know the influence of Pice, and Product Quality towards Buying Decision of Product Sari Roti in Semarang. Sample in this research are 100 consumers who have purchased and consume product of Sari Roti. Data analysis that is used are correlation test, simple regression, multiple regression, and classic assumption proceed by SPSS Program. The result of this research shows that price and product quality positive influence towards buying decision partially and simultantly. The conclusion for this research is the better Product of Sari Roti price and product quality are, the higher buying decision that is done by the consumers of Product Sari Roti in Semarang.

Abstract

Every corporate needs resources that have an mportant influence to achieve corporate’s goal. Human resource management have a role in improving employee performance through the variables that affect itself, including leadership and OHS (Occupational Safety and Health). Based on the problem in this research, that is the decrease of employee performance of PT PLN (PERSERO) Technical Department of Kramat Jati Area in 2014 – 2016 in travo disturbance and electrical leakage that occurred. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of leadership and OHS (Occupational Safety and Health).  The type of this research is explanatory research with 44 respondents in PT PLN (PERSERO) Technical department of kramat jati area as the population. The technique of sampling using saturation sampling. Using questionnaires as data collecting technique. The data analysis conducted quantitatively with SPSS.  This research conclude that leadership and occupational safety and health have postive effect on employee performance. OHS (Occupational safety and health) variable has bigger effect than leadership variable. Based to the research result, the researcher suggest that the company to pay attention of work enviroment which the work enviroment in techincal department needs collaboration for the employee to finish their job.

Abstract

The performance of a business unit can be affected by a variety of factors, both internal and external company factors. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation and competitive advantage against the business performance of small and medium enterprises. The research type is explanatory research. This study uses purposive sampling techniques against small and medium furniture industries in Semarang. Data collecting using a questionnaire and interviews. Data analysis using simple and doubled linier regression analysis with IBM SPSS 20. Results of statistical analysis known that together the entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and competitive advantage effect on the business performance.The conclusion from this study is that there is a positive and significant influence between entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and competitive advantage to business performance of the small and medium furniture industries in Semarang. Research suggest that IKM improve proactivity and looking for opportunities in entrepreneurship, improve market orientation and competitiveness so that IKM can continue to survive in the midst of the current competition.

Abstract

The demand of housing in Semarang is increasing each year. This certainly is an investment opportunity for investor, especially developer.  In the investment of real estate industrial, it is required the analysis. Investment, marketing, and other driving factors affecting the housing investment in Semarang. This is a qualitative descriptive research, with primary and secondary data collection technique, interviewing and collecting data that are available. The primary resources consist of three people; one person as the organizer the housing investment in Semarang, and the other two as the industrial practitioners of housing investment. Result shows, the housing investment in Semarang is effected by house demand and bargain, bureaucracy and legitimacy in practicing the investment, price application offered by developer, supporting facility, and developer marketing. The high demand of housing is the main reason of property investment in Semarang. One of the elements of permission legitimacy that must be fulfilled by developer is the quantity, and duration of the authorization. However, the government has simplified and shortened the authorization duration. The infrastructure in Semarang needs to be upgraded to raise the housing investment. Further, the field analysis, housing development must be based on decree of ministry. Balanced house, in which 1 : 2 : 3, with facility and attraction as the edge. Another point is the marketing, which the consumers in Semarang in general are end user, not speculative user. Thus, the marketing strategy mostly uses consumer gathering, exhibiting, and advertising in varied media. Based on above results, it is suggested that the government in Semarang to develop better infrastructure in the future. The developer also can use this investment opportunity, because it promises the investment development.

Abstract

Formula toothpaste as the first product produced by PT Orang Tua has become the mainstay of Indonesian family, to maintain oral health. However, in the midst of today's toothpaste competition, there are many low customer loyalty levels like not always buying Formula toothpaste, not subscribing, wanting to switch to another brand, and unwilling to recommend to the product. This is expected because the price is considered expensive and the quality of the product is considered poor. This study aims to determine the effect of price variables and product quality on customer loyalty toothpaste Formula. This type of research is an explanatory research, with sampling technique using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 112 respondents who are customers of Formula> 15 years old toothpaste in Bulusan and Tembalang, Tembalang District. Data collection techniques in this study through questionnaires. This research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Quantitative analysis uses validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, determination coefficient, significance test, and tested using SPSS for Windows. The results of this study indicate that the variable price and product quality each have a significant influence, and positive on customer loyalty. Two variables have been tested in stages and together show that the price variable (0,277) and product quality (0.391) simultaneously have a moderate relationship to customer loyalty variables. The amount of contribution owned by the variable of product quality is greater than the amount of the variable price contribution, the coefficient of determination (R2) for the price variable is 7.7% and the product quality is 17.2%. To improve customer loyalty, the researcher's suggestion is, Formula toothpaste should still maintain an affordable price for its customers. To improve product loyalty, the researcher's suggestion is, it is necessary to improve product quality such as enhanced toothpaste, improved function so that it can solve the problem of tooth and mouth of customer more quickly and precisely, and longer mouth freshness after using toothpaste.
