Abstract

The needs of contemporary society about communication has become a basic requirement. Connectivity is unavoidable in this modern era. Mobile phone or smartphone has taken a prominent position for everyone throughout the world, smartphone not only use for communication but also become the media to get information, make a creativity until make a transaction. Sony is one of the most trusted brand of smartphones in the world, but in it is development, another brand product providers smartphone is getting more from year to year, which makes the sales of Sony smartphone decreased, especially in Semarang city. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of promotion, brand image, and the quality of products towards purchasing decisions smartphone Sony at Diponegoro University. The type of this research is explanatory research. The population in this research is the students that still active in Diponegoro University with the number of samples is 100 respondents. Sampling using a purposive sampling. The measurement scale using the Likert scale. Methods of analysis that used is cross tabulations, correlation, determination, simple linear regression, multiple liniear regression, t-test, and F-test using SPSS program version 20. Based on the results of the research known that promotion, brand image, and quality of the product have a positive effect and make a significant effect on purchasing decisions, either partially or simultaneously. Free variables that have the most influence on purchasing decision is the variabel quality of the product. And the advice that can be given is make a sustained promotional products of Sony smartphone by giving direct discounts and giving additional completeness of smartphones, doing promotions with special price for consumers who be the first purchases at the Sony official store or for consumers that booking earlier through official website of Sony, product of smartphone Sony retains it’s product price but improve the quality of the product and the benefits that provided so the consumers that using smartphone Sony have their own pride, Sony may update or complete the features that became a mainstay of smartphone Sony that not often in an error, add a service center in each city and giving a special training to employees.

Abstract

This research is aimed to identify the effect of marketing mix: product, price, promotion and distribution on Yamaha NMAX purchasing decission in Semarang whether as parcial effect and as simultan effect. The type of research is explanotory research with 97 respondents which calculated using purposive sampling technique. Instrument data collection technique is by questionnaire and interview. Data were analyzed using liner regression analysis by SPSS For Windows. This research concludes that product, price, promotion, and place have positive and significant influence on puchasing decission partially. Furthermore, marketing mix has a positive and significant influence on puchasing decission and product is the most siginificant variabel. Concumer perseption of product, price, promotion and distribution are in good category. Then, purchasing decission is in high level. So, advice that can be given for PT. Yamaha Motor Manufaktur Indonesia is to improve that good perception higher with variate the product, use brand ambassador, fullfill the need fast, and provide new distributions channel.

Abstract

Every company needs a resource that has an important influence to achieve success. Human resource management play an active role in improving employee performance through a number of variables that influence including leadership and occupational health and safety (K3). Based on the existing problems in this study was a decrease in the performance of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ-Central Semarang technique in 2014 in repairing damaged transformers, transformer damage that should be the target of 25 units, but in reality to 39 units and the target shrinkage transformer is supposed to 8.55% but in fact 19.62%. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of leadership and occupational health and safety (K3) on the performance of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ-Central Semarang techniques. This type of research is explanatory research. The population in this study are employees of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ Middle Semarang engineering section with a sample size of 50 respondents. Census sampling techniques. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and interviews. The analytical method used is validity, reliability, cross tabulation, correlation, determination, regression analysis, the significance test with SPSS. Research, leadership is in excellent health and safety (K3) is quite good, and the performance as very good. It shows when the leadership is getting better and with the implementation of occupational health and safety (K3) is good, then the performance will increase. Researchers suggest that high employee performance it should be more assertive leadership, solid, and clear in giving instructions, so that each employee can capture well the instructions given by the leader and carry out their work according to the instructions of work that has been directed. Listening to complaints from employees, employee supervision until the work is completed on time. More attention to the work tools and equipment that are not proper to use immediately replaced a new one, so that employees feel comfortable in their work.
