Abstract

ABSTRACTGreen architecture is a scheme process in lessening unfavourableenvironmental impact, increase comfort of man by increasing efficiency, and reductionof usage of resource, energy, usage of farm, and management of effective garbage inarchitecture level (Kwok Allison dalam Ming Kok, Cheah, 2008). Abstract

ABSTRACTAddition of fibres obtained from waste of projects and home industries can beperformed in the fabrication of plasterboard as an effort to produce multiple benefitsand to optimize its ulitization This research was an experimental research consists of1 independent variable, which was the composition of Portland cement (SM), mill chalk(KM), and rosella (SR) mixture in 5 different compositions. Those were I(1 SM : 5 KM :0,06 SR), II( 1 SM : 5 KM : 0,08 SR), III(1 SM : 5 KM : 0,10 SR ), IV(1 SM : 5 KM : 0,12SR ), and V(1 SM : 5 KM : 0,14. SR), each of the composition was repeated threetimes. Mixing of material and plasterboard fabrication were done manually. Type oftesting were the observation of shape/visually and plasterboard weight, measurementof length, width and thickness, easiness with nails and placing, water absorbtion, waterdensity, mass per volume, and flexural strength. To investigate the real effect ofindependent variable to each parameter, the observation was conducted as dataanalysis using single line anava test dan DMRT test. The result showed that (1)Composition II (1:5:0,08) was one with good result on the observation ofshape/visually, measurement of length, width and thickness, easiness with nails andplacing, water absorbtion, water density, and mass per volume of plasterboard. (2)Composition of rosella fibre mixture gave bad effect to flexural bending of plasterboard.The test result on easiness showed that composition placed well on seven days of agewere the ratio 1:5:0,10; dan 1:5:0,12. (3) Comparison of physical and mechanicalaverage value showed that composition II (1:5:0,08.) was the best ratio. There results ifcompared to Indonesian Standard for Industry, Standar Industri Indonesia (SII.0016-72) about cement fibre sheet were complied for observation of shape/visually,measurement of length, width and thickness, easiness with nails and placing, waterabsorbtion, water density, mass per volume, while for the flexural strength none werecomplied.Keywords: fibre, plasterboard and mixture composition

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of important place in historic city of Palangka Raya is a big public openspace along the corridor of Yos Sudarso Street where various activities found here.Besides sport and social activities conducted in this place, many street vendors alsoarrised as well as green open space utilization. This paper is conducted to find out thepotentiality of Yos Sudarso corridor to be optimilized as public open space andimportant landscape in Palangka Raya by applying a concept approach research. Theconcept of public open space and landscape possible to come out by implementing aplanning concept of open space and re-arrange informal sector location andcompleting infrastructures such as garbage management , lighting system, and streetvendor stall design . Finally, a potential concept of green space need to balancingbetween vegetation and the presence of public building requirement to achievesustainable development and to reduce global warming impacts.Key words: Potential open space, landscape, Palangkaraya

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe presence of flanges on the reinforced concrete T-beam increases the shearcapacity, but if the beam-T is made in hollow elongated affect shear capacity. Thisresearch conducted to find numerical modelling of nonlinear finite element for hollowreinforced concrete. using the program ATENA V.2.1.10 which were then verified withnumerical experiment model. The results showed that the hole in hollow reinforcedconcrete is not enough affect the shear capacity but may reduce the ductility, in whichthe ductility decreases as the ratio of the hole increases.Keywords : Reinforcement concrete, Hollow core beam, Shear, Ductility, Crack pattern.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis paper intends to test and find out the accuracy or the deviation informationlatitude longitude coordinates (λ, φ) or UTM which is informed on the Google-Earthimage. The research is started by conducting registry longitude-latitude coordinatesand UTM at some points in the Google-Earth, then it is overlaid with visual mapcoordinates of the earth scale 1: 25 000 Bakosurtanal publish. Both coordinates areplotted in the ArcView program in the form of theme-point. Subsequently both thesethemes in overlay can be seen visually for deviations from these coordinates anddistance can be measured as well as its deviation from the second point with amagnification of up to show the level of detail scale 1: 1000. Conclusions can bedrawn that the longitude-latitude coordinates or UTM on Google-Earth can not be usedfor technical maps in large scale, but it was enough for making the planning maps inscale 1: 25.000.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn the cases of repairing and rehabilitation work of existing concrete structures,interface bond strength between old (substrate layer), and new concrete (overlay) willbe one of the main factors that will significantly affect the quality of the strengthenedstructures. Considering its unique fresh characteristics, self-compacting concrete offersmore advantages in repairing and rehabilitation works. Effects of polypropylene fiberaddition on interface shear bond strength, and the flexural strength of bi-layer concrete(substrate and overlay) were investigated in this experimental study. In this researchworks, polypropylene fibers added at 0 kg/m3, 1 kg/m3, 2 kg/m3, and 3 kg/m3 in thefresh mix of self compacting concrete that will be used as the overlay layer. The freshcharacteristics of self-compacting concrete were investigated using slump-flow test.After 28 days of substrate layer (normal concrete) age, self-compacting concrete thatutilized as overlay layer were casted on the substrate layer. Interface bond strengththat tested using Bi-surface Direct Shear Method, and bi-layer (substrate and overlay)concrete flexural strength were investigated 28 days after the overlay layer casted.Each variant of the bond strength and flexural strength investigated using 3 standardspecimens, therefore totally 36 specimens were tested. Based on the tests results, itcan be concluded several point s as follows; (1) in the case of shear bond strength,polypropylene fiber addition lead the improvement of shear bond strength between newand old concrete. In the dosage of 0 kg/m3, 1 kg/m3, 2 kg/m3 and 3 kg/m3, the resultedshear bond strength were 1,985 MPa, 1,704 MPa, 2,519 Mpa, dan 2,489 MPa, (2)Polypropylene fiber addition also has positive effect on the flexural strength of thestrengthened concrete. Using 0 Kg/m3, 1 kg/m3, 2 kg/m3, and 3 kg/m3 ofpolypropylene fiber addition, the observed flexural strength were 4,156 MPa , 4,988MPa, 2,601 MPa, and 2,543 MPa, and (3) based on the tests results it can besuggested that 1 kg/m3 of polypropylene fiber addition is the optimum composition forthe use of polypropylene fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete as a overlay layerfor repairing, and rehabilitation of concrete structures.Keywords: Polypropylene fiber, Interface Bond Strength, Flexural Strength

Abstract

ABSTRACTOn the scale of area or region in spatial planning, it is important to evaluate andto predict the new spatial plan and policy, whether it is effective or not to beimplemented. It is intended that the results of the spatial planning in scale of area orregion, can be optimized to accommodate the needs. Geographical InformationSystem as a computerized instrument of planning is pretty decent to be used for thosestages of planning (evaluation and prediction). More specifically one of its analysisfeature, buffer analysis, is capable to measure the effectiveness of the presence ofpublic facilities –for example- in terms of coverage/distribution of services (in thecontext of evaluation stage). In addition, buffer analysis also capable to predictwhether the spatial policies and its physical implementation possible to be place inaccordance with the goal of the planning.Keyword: Geographical Information System, Buffer Analysis, Spatial Planning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe earthquake in Bantul, Yogyakarta at Mei 27, 2006 appeared a lot ofproblems for peoples. Besides psychological and physical excesses,, a great deal ofthe rubbish material accumulated as the result of building destruction. This paper triesto implement the brick rubbish material for improving the soil street strength atvillages. This experiment research that was done by CBR-test at pure soil as well as atsoil with grain brick mixture is aimed to explain the appropriate grain brick compositionmust be mixed into soil in order to get a maximum strength of soil. The results of theresearch are: 1. adding grain brick into soil could increase the strength of soil bearingparallel with increasing the CBR-value.2. the fine grain brick significantly increase thestrength of soil mix. 3. the CBR-value of soil mixed with grain brick is reached at36%.Keywords : brick, rubbish, CBR, soil bearing, soil strength.
