Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan (1) pengaruh pembelajaran pada bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan Open Ended terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa, (2) pengaruh pembelajaran pada bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif CTL dan Open Ended terhadap sikap siswa, dan (3) pengaruh pembelajaran pada bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif CTL dan Open Ended terhadap keterampilan matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX D dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan strategi kooperatif CTL dan Open Endedterhadap hasil belajar kognitif, sikap, dan keterampilan siswa.Kata Kunci: contextual teaching and learning, open ended, hasil belajar kognitif, hasil belajar sikap, hasil belajar keterampilan The Influence of the Space Curved Side Up Learning Through CTL and Open Ended toward the Learning Result of Cognitive, Attitude, and Skill  AbstractThe aims of this research was to investigate: (1) the influence of the space curved side up learning with CTL cooperative learning strategy and Open Ended toward the students learning result of cognitive, (2) the influence of the space curved side up learning with CTL cooperative learning strategy and Open Ended toward the students learning result of attitude, and (3) the influence of the space curved side up learning with CTL cooperative learning strategy and Open Ended toward the students learning result of mathematical skills. This research was quasi experiment. The population of research was all students grade IX SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta, while the sample of research was students in class IX D selected randomly. The results show that the space curved side up learning with the of contextual teaching learning and open ended has influence toward the students learning result of cognitive, attitude, and skills.Keywords: contextual teaching and learning, open ended, the learning result of cognitive, the learning result of attitude, the learning result of skills.

Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan Saintifik, mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan PMRI, dan mendeskripsikan manakah yang lebih efektif diantara Saintifik dan PMRI ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo Jawa Timur Indonesia dan secara acak terpilih kelas VIIB dan VIIC sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non-tes, dengan instrumen meliputi soal tes prestasi, angket minat dan percaya diri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dan Hotelling’s Trace. Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Saintifik efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Pendekatan PMRI efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, tetapi tidak efektif ditinjau dari minat. Saintifik dan PMRI sama-sama efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, akan tetapi ditinjau dari minat Saintifik lebih unggul daripada PMRI.Kata kunci: pendekatan Saintifik, pendekatan PMRI, prestasi, minat, percaya diri The Comparison of the Effectiveness of Scientific and PMRI Approaches Based on the Achievement, Interest, and Self-Confidence of Students of Grade VII AbstractThis quasi-experimental research aims to describe the effectiveness of Scientific Approach, describe the effectiveness of PMRI approach, and describe which is more effective between of Scientific and PMRI Approaches in terms of the achievement, interest, and self-confidence. The population in this research were students of class VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia, and randomly selected VIIB and VIIC classes as a sample. The data collection techniques were a test and non-test, the instrument covers about mathematics achievement tests, questionnaires for students’ interest and self-confidence. The data were analysed using the t test and the Hotelling's Trace test. The results show that at the significance level of 0.05 the Scientific Approach is effective in terms of students’ achievement, interest, and self-confidence, while the PMRI Approach is effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but it is not effective in terms of interest. The Scientific and PMRI Approaches are equally effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but in terms of interest the Scientific Approach is superior to the PMRI Approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, PMRI Approach, mathematics achievement, interest, self-confidence

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Brain-Based Learning (BBL) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis (KKMAT) dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu menggunakan desain grup kontrol tidak secara acak dengan pemberian tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada semester kedua tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri atas tiga kelas. Dua kelas dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes KKMAT dan skala self-efficacy. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji multivariat (MANOVA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan BBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-efficacy siswa.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Brain-Based Learning, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, self-efficacy The Effect of Brain-Based Learning Approach toward the Mathematical Communication Ability and Self-Efficacy of Senior High School Students AbstractThis study aimed to describe the effect of the instruction using Brain-Based Learning Approach (BBLA) toward students’ mathematical communication ability (MCA) and self-efficacy. This study adopted a pretest-posttest nonrandomized control group design in a quasi-experimental setting. The population comprised all students grade XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Jetis D. I. Yogyakarta in the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013 consisting of three classes. Two classes were selected as the research sample, namely experimental class and control class. The instruments of the study were a test of MCA and scale of self-efficacy. The data were analized using the one sample t test and MANOVA test. The findings of the study show that the instruction using BBLA has an effect on students’ mathematical communication ability and self-efficacy.Keywords: Brain-Based Learning Approach (BBLA), mathematical communication ability, self-efficacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat penialaian autentik untuk pembelajaran matematika di kelas VII semester 1 yang autentik, reliabel dan valid meliputi instrumen dengan kompetensi dasar bilangan bulat, garis dan sudut, serta rasio dan perbandingan untuk penilaian KI 1, KI 2, KI 3, dan KI 4 berupa: indikator, instrumen penilaian, dan rubrik penilaian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (research    development).  Penelitian  ini  dilakukan  dengan  menggunakan  model  pengembangan  Plomp (2010) tiga tahap pengembangan yaitu preliminary research, prototyping phase, dan assessment phase. Aspek reliabilitas dari ujicoba lapangan. Aspek kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari penilaian para ahli.Kata kunci: pengembangan,  perangkat  penilaian autentik, asesmen, matematika kelas VII Development Authentic Assessment Kit for Learning Math Class VII Semester 1AbstractThis research was aimed to produce authentic assessment’s learning kit in mathematics learning for 7th grade semester 1 which is authentic, reliable, and valid including instrument for basic competence in integers, lines and angles, also ratio and comparison for assessment of KI 1, KI 2, KI 3, and KI 4 consist of indicators, assessment instruments, and assessment rubric. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan Problem Based Learning (PBL) ditinjau dari motivasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa, serta membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL dan PBL ditinjau dari motivasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu, yang menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen. Untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL dan PBL digunakan uji one sample t-test pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Untuk membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL dan PBL, data dianalisis secara multivariat menggunakan T2 Hotelling dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dianalisis lanjut menggunakan uji t univariat dengan kriteria Bonferoni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL dan PBL efektif ditinjau dari motivasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa, dan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PBL lebih efektif dibanding dengan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika siswa, tetapi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PBL tidak lebih efektif dibanding dengan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL ditinjau dari motivasi belajar matematika siswa.Kata kunci: CTL, PBL, motivasi, prestasi belajar. The Effectiveness of the CTL and PBL Approaches Viewed from Students’ Motivation and Achievement in Mathematics Learning AbstractThis study aimed to describe the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) approaches viewed from students’ motivation and achievement in mathematics learning, and to compare the effectiveness of the CTL and the PBL approach in mathematics learning viewed from students’ motivation and achievement. This study was a quasi-experimental research and used two experimental groups. To find out the effectiveness of the CTL and PBL approach in each variable, the data were analyzed using one-sample t-test what the significance level of 5%. To compare the effectiveness of the CTL and PBL approaches, the data were analyzed using the multivariate T2 Hotelling with the significance level of 5% and followed up by the univariate analysis using the Bonferoni criterion. The results of the study show that the CTL and PBL approaches were effective viewed from students’ motivation and achievement in mathematics learning and the PBL approach was more effective than CTL approach viewed from students’ achievement in mathematics but the PBL approach is not more effective than CTL approach viewed from students’ motivation in mathematics learning.Keywords: CTL, PBL, motivation, learning achievement.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada materi pokok geometri ruang SMP yang memenuhi kriteria kualitas: valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Four-D terdiri dari empat langkah: (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, dan (4) diseminasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan analsis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing produk memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Produk memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, ditunjukkan dari persentase penilaian ahli mencapai 100% yang termasuk dalam kategori valid. Produk memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan berdasarkan penilaian oleh guru dan siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Produk memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan juga berdasarkan persentase keterlaksaan pembelajaran yang melebihi 80%. Produk memenuhi kriteria keefektifan berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa pada kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM untuk kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan melebihi 75%.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan saintifik, geometri ruang  Developing Instructional Material Using the Scientific Approach on the Space Geometry Topic for Junior High SchoolAbstract The aim of this study is to develop mathematics instructional materials using the scientific approach on the space geometry topic for junior high school that fulfill the quality criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research was a research and development study using the Four-D development model with modification consisting of three steps: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. The data analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The result of the study shows that all of the products are valid, practical, and effective. The product fulfills the validity criterion. It is shown by the percentage of experts appraisal which reaches 100%, that belongs to a valid category. The product fulfills the practicality criterion based on teacher and student assesment to the instructional material, that is in a very good category. The product also fulfills the practicality criterion based on the percentage of teaching implementation. The percentage of teaching implementation exceeded 80%. The product fulfills the effectiveness criterion based on students’ learning achievement in attitude, knowledge, and skill competency. The percentage of the students who achieve minimum mastery criteria for attitude, knowledge, and skill competency exceeded 75%.Keywords: development, instructional material, scientific approach, space geometry

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Cabri dan pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Geogebra ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, berpikir kreatif, dan self-efficacy siswa SMP. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu desain pretest-posttest non equivalent group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen tanpa kelompok kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Santa Maria Banjarmasin. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIIA dan kelas VIIB yang dipilih secara acak. Kelas VIIA menggunakan pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Cabri dan kelas VIIB menggunakan pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Geogebra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, berpikir kreatif, dan self-efficacy siswa (1) pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Cabri efektif; (2) pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Geogebra efektif; (3) terdapat perbedaan keefektifan pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Geogebra dan Cabri; (4) pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dari pada pembelajaran geometri berbantuan Cabri.Kata Kunci: Cabri, Geogebra, prestasi belajar, berpikir kreatif, dan self-efficacy Geometry Instruction Using Cabri and Geogebra in Terms of Achievement, Creative Thinking, and Self-Efficacy AbstractThis study aimed to describe and to compare the effectiveness geometry instruction using Cabri and Geogebra in terms of the achievement, creative thinking, and self-efficacy of the students  junior high schools. This research was a quasi-experimental research with the pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. This study used two experimental groups without control groups. The population of the study was all grade VII students of Junior High School Saint Mary Banjarmasin. The sample of two classes (class VIIA, and class VIIB) was established randomly. Class VIIA got geometry instruction with Cabri and class VIIB got geometry instruction with Geogebra. The results show that in terms of students’ academic achievement, creative thinking, and self-efficacy: (1) geometry instruction using by Cabri was effective; (2) geometry instruction using by Geogebra was effective; (3) there was a difference in the instruction using Cabri and that using Geogebra; (4) geometry instruction using Geogebra was more effective than geometry instruction using Cabri.Keywords: Cabri, Geogebra, academic achievement, creative thinking, and self – efficacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Purworejo dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari pengetahuan guru, sikap guru, dan kesiapan sarana prasarana. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif menggunakan model Concurrent Embedded Strategy. Metode primer penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan survei, kemudian dilengkapi metode kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru matematika SMP kelas VII dan VIII di Kabupaten Purworejo. Sampel penelitian adalah 64 orang guru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan 5 kriteria, yaitu Sangat Siap, Siap, Cukup, Kurang, dan Sangat Kurang. Analisis data kualitatif terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Purworejo dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari: kesiapan pengetahuan guru masuk kategori sangat kurang, sikap guru masuk kategori cukup, dan kesiapan sarana prasarana masuk kategori siap.Kata kunci: kesiapan guru, kesiapan pengetahuan, sikap guru, kesiapan sarana dan prasarana The Readiness of Junior High School Math Teachers in Purworejo for the Implementation of Curriculum 2013 AbstractThis research aimed to describe the readiness of junior high school math teachers in Purworejo for the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in terms of the teachers’ knowledge, the attitude of teachers, and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure. This study used mixed methods with models Concurrent Embedded Strategy. The study primary method was a quantitative research carried out by the survey, and  equipped with qualitative methods conducted through observation, interviews and documentation. The population was all the 7th and 8th grade  junior high school math teachers in Purworejo. The sample was 64 teachers established using the stratified random sampling technique. The quantitative descriptive data analysis used five criteria, namely: Very Ready, Ready, Fairly Ready, Poor, and Very Poor. While the analysis of qualitative data consists of data reduction, data display and conclusion.The results show that the readiness of junior high school math teacher in Purworejo for the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in terms of the readiness of the teacher's knowledge was in the very poor category, the attitude of teachers was in the fairly ready category, and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure was in the ready category.Keywords: readiness of teachers, knowledge readiness, teachers’ attitudes, readiness of facilities and infrastructure

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan cooperative learning tipe Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) dan cooperative  learning tipe Jigsaw serta membandingkan keefektifan kedua pendekatan tersebut ditinjau dari prestasi, motivasi belajar, dan akhlak mulia siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MA Ali Maksum, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-E dan X-G. Untuk menguji keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan cooperative learning tipe STAD dan cooperative learning tipe Jigsaw ditinjau dari masing-masing variabel, data dianalisis menggunakan uji t-test one sample, sedangkan untuk membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran menggunakan kedua pendekatan tersebut, data dianalisis secara multivariat dengan statistik uji two-group MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan cooperative learning tipe STAD dan tipe Jigsaw efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika dan tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan penggunaan kedua pendekatan tersebut dalam pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari prestasi, motivasi belajar, dan akhlak mulia siswa.Kata kunci: cooperative learning tipe STAD, cooperative learning tipe jigsaw, prestasi belajar, motivasi belajar, dan akhlak mulia Learning Mathematics with Cooperative Learning Approach in Terms of Students’ Achievement, Motivation, and Noble Character AbstractThis study aimed to describe the effectiveness of mathematics learning using cooperative learning approach type Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) and cooperative learning type Jigsaw and to compare the effectiveness of both approaches in terms of students’ achievement, learning motivation, and noble character. This study was a quasi experiment research with pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. The study population included all students of class X MA Ali Maksum and the sample was class X-E and X-G that were selected randomly. To determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning using cooperative learning approach type STAD and cooperative learning type Jigsaw in terms of each variables, the data were analyzed using one sample t-test. Then to compare the effectiveness of mathematics learning using both approaches, the data were analyzed using multivariate statistical with two-group MANOVA test. The results show that the mathematics learning with cooperative learning type STAD and jigsaw was effective and there is no difference in the effectiveness of mathematics learning using cooperative learning type STAD and jigsaw in terms of students’ achievement, learning motivation, and noble character.Keywords: cooperative learning type STAD, cooperative learning type jigsaw, learning achievement, learning motivation, and noble character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan keefektifan antara model PBL setting GI dan PjBL setting GI ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Pengadegan Kabupaten Purbalingga, sedangkan sampel yang diperoleh melalui pemilihan secara acak yaitu siswa kelas VIII C dan VIII B. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes prestasi belajar, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan angket motivasi belajar matematika. Data dianalisis secara univariat dengan statistik uji one sample t-test untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran, sedangkan data dianalisis secara multivariat dengan statistik uji two group MANOVA untuk membandingkan keefektifan model pembelajaran. Setiap analisis menggunakan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model PBL setting GI dan PjBL setting GI efektif dan tidak ada perbedaan keefektifan antara kedua model pembelajaran ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan motivasi belajar matematika.Kata Kunci: model PBL setting GI, model PjBL setting GI, prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan motivasi belajar. The Effectiveness of PBL and PjBL Models in Term of Achievement, Critical Thinking Skills, and Motivation in Mathematics Learning of SMP Students AbstractThis study aimed to describe and to compare the effectiveness of PBL model in the setting of GI and PjBL model in the setting of GI in term of learning achievement, critical thinking skills, and motivation in mathematics learning of SMP students. This study was a quasi-experimental research employing the pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. The research population comprised all students in grade VIII of SMPN 3 Pengadegan Purbalingga. The Samples were students of class VIII C and D were selected randomly from the population.. The data collecting instruments were a test of learning achievement, a test of critical thinking skills, and a questionnaire of motivation in mathematics learning. The data were analyzed using the univariatetechnique with the one sample t-test to determine the effectiveness of learning models, while to compare the effectiveness of learning models, the data were analyzed using the multivariate technique with the two groups MANOVA. Each analysis was done at the significance level of 5%. The results of the study show that the PBL and PjBL models in the setting of GI is effective and there is no difference the effectiveness of the two models in term of learning achievement, critical thinking skills, and motivation in mathematics learning.Keywords: PBL model in the setting of GI, PjBL model in the setting of GI, learning achievement, critical thinking skills, and learning motivation.
