Abstract

Barus Old City became one tourist destination for researchers of Islamic archeology, both domestically and abroad, especially in the Lobu Tua. All the existing tourism potential and supported by strategic location for a sightseeing trip make Old Town Barus very suitable to serve as a regional destination (DTW). But the existence of a tourist attraction that is not yet fully got the attention of government and society. It can be seen from the tourist attraction in Barus and a lack of information regarding the existing tourist attraction. Therefore, to make the Old City Barus as a historical tourist destination need for improvement of the tourism institute itself and also the community as a tourism people. Data collected by in-depth interviews and observation. In-depth interviews conducted by referring to the interview guide are explored and defined through preliminary observation / assessment. Some might ask them is what the potential of the old city of Barus addition to in-depth interviews, data collection is also done with the observation well at the sample location or at multiple locations in the surrounding historical attractions. Things were observed among the tourism potential in the history of the Old City of Barus Central Tapanuli. Results of this study showed that the potency owned Old Town Barus is historical attractions such as ancient tombs which are graves of Muslim missionaries of the past that Mahligai Tomb, Tomb of Boards of Appeal, the Tomb of Mr. Syech Machdun. All existing tourism potential and supported by strategic location for sightseeing trips make Old Town Barus very suitable to serve as a tourist destination. Efforts Preservation and Development of tourism potential in the Old City of Barus need any interference from the local community that would care little about the existence of these ancient tombs and also expect the local government to be more open eyes in the dig, as well as rectifying the historical record that the entry of Islam Indonesia through the Old City Barus, because in addition to as evidence of history that should be preserved its existence, the site of ancient tombs can also be used as a historical tourist destination in Central Tapanuli regency especially the old city Barus.

Abstract

In Indonesia there are various kinds of tourism activities where one of them from the alternative tourism is rural tourism. When the rural tourism began to be developed then the community must also participate to play an active role in the development of rural tourism. Therefore, the empowerment of local people in this rural tourism activity is very important. The focus of this research is to know the form of community empowerment, the process of community empowerment, the components of the package of rural tour packages, the forms of tour packages offered, and the distribution channel. This research method using qualitative descriptive method. The process of collecting data is done by observation, interview and literature study. The data are then grouped, described, analyzed, then summarized. The findings of research results from community empowerment in packing of rural tourism package include: 1) The form of empowerment of community groups in Pelaga Village is the Sadar Wisata Group, 2) The empowerment of community groups in packing of rural tour packages includes components of rural tour package, Tour packages offered, and distribution channels. From this research, it can be concluded that the empowerment of community groups in packing rural tourism packages related to the many potentials that have the need for socialization and counseling to Pelaga Village community groups to be directly involved in tourism activities. Sustainability of empowerment activities can be developed and improved again because the better the empowerment activities are held to eat the better the benefits obtained by the community. Abstract

Couchsurfing.com is social media which make traveler and local meet in tourist destination. Which is they dont know each other before meet. Share about anything and explore the tourist destination together. Purpose of this research is to know thet motivation of host on couchsurfing.com Denpasar area to be a tour guide for the traveler. This reseacrh used qualitative method. Data collected by observation, in-dept interview and literature study. Sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data analyzed through the stages of editing, classification, coding then interpretation. These results indicate that there is a lot of motivations of host couchsurfing.com Denpasar to be a tour guide for the traveler. The main motivations isself-actualization, includes practicing foreign language skills, train travel guides skill, improve personal communication skills, understand the character of the travelers, and dream. The second motivation is esteem needs, prestige and showing hospitality are the part of it. The three last motivation are belongingness and love needs, safety needs, physiological needs. Abstract

Potency of a tourist attraction is the most important things that can be pulled tourist visits. This research attempts to examine the potencies anything which is found in Desa Temple Puseh Temple Batuan Village. This research is expected could be referred to in the management of Desa Temple Puseh Temple Batuan Village can increase the time and the number of tourist visits. Informants in research were calculated by using the method the base informant and key informants. Technique data collection uses the observation, interview, and study literature. Data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative model Miles and Huberman. The results of the research indicate that Desa Temple Puseh Temple Batuan Village as tourist attraction in Gianyar Regency not only have potencies of temple architecture and relic historical on occasion of the temple existence as one of cultural heritage, but also the tample have uniqueness potencie, such as art like dance, painting, and than a religious ceremony implemented in the temple area can be packaged to be a tourist product that can increase tourist visit durasion and can be beneficial for the Batuan Village community. Abstract

Marketing is one of the important strategies in tourism activities. With the marketing, tourists know the tourist attraction that will be visited. Marketing consists of several aspects, such as product, place/distributions, price and promotion (marketing mix). This research was conducted to determine the form of marketing mix at Tahura Ngurah Rai Mangrove Ecotourism and measure how much influence the marketing mix had on the decisions of foreign tourists visiting Tahura Ngurah Rai Ecotourism. The method used in research is quantitative method. Data collection is conducted by questionnaire, observation, and literature study. While the data analysis technique used is the Important Performance Analysis (IPA) technique. The results of study showed that the components of the marketing mix consisting of products, prices, places / distributions, and promotions still did not meet the level of tourists satisfaction, There were still several components that had to be increased such as price and place. Therefore, the manager must focus on to the component that doesn’t meet the level of tourist satisfaction since it can influence the tourist visiting decisions. Abstract

This paper, entitled "employment opportunities for people with the Bali Safari And Marine Park in Serongga Village, Gianyar Regency." The importance of the research carried out is to know the influence of the existence of the Bali Safari And Marine Park (BSMP) towards employment opportunities obtained village community Serongga. Data analysis technique used is descriptive-qualitative techniques, namely how the excavation information then the results are depicted in the form of words or sentences then its compilation is done systematically and accurately about the fact are there so that the result is related to the development of tourism and its influence on the employment opportunities available to the community of the village of Serongga. Based on research results, employment opportunities obtained by the Serongga village community by having BSMP divided into two i.e. employment opportunities directly and indirectly. Immediate job opportunities divided into employment as labor contracts and as workers in art BSMP. Indirect job opportunities divided into employment opportunities as a livestock feed suppliers in the form of elephant grass and fresh vegetables as well as employment opportunities as a provider of food for the staff at BSMP Keywords : employment, community, existence.

Abstract

Abstract Samosir is the only island located in the middle of Lake Toba, one of the largest lakes in the province of North Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of Samosir Island as one of the natural attractions in the province of North Sumatra and know how management strategy that uses SWOT analysis techniques. The data used by the authors in this study a qualitative data. Data was collected by observation, interview and interview. From these data were then analyzed by qualitative descriptive way, the data that is formed into a description that describes a situation or event that are explained. Based on the results of the analysis of the strategic plan management strategies Samosir Island as one of the natural attractions in the province of North Sumatra can be explained as follows: Conducting training in the form of training or training in order to improve the quality of human resources and community knowledge about tourism, tourism promotion Improve both in print media and online media , in cooperation with the travel or travel agency, improve and increase the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure to boost tourist arrivals.

Abstract

Tourism development will trigger positive or negative implication to the local communities. In term of socio-economic, Sibunga-bunga village is one of the village which has been affected by tourism development. It can be seen from the increasing number of local people who leave the agricultural sector and turn to the tourism sector . The aim of this research is to know the tourism development phase and socio-economic implication to the people of Sibunga-bunga village. The Data were collected through observational, interviews, and documentations, those data were described qualitatively. The tourism life cycle theory (TLCT) is proposed and tested in order to identify the tourism development phase. The socio-economic implications are presented with pictures to get a clear understanding of the facts and findings. The result of the study shows that the tourism development phase of sibunga-bunga village is on involvement. Tourism development of Sibunga-bunga village has positive implications to create job opportunities, to increase local’s income. Unfortunately, it was followed by negative impatcs such as in the form of violations of rules set by the managers of tourist attraction which may damage the surrounding environment, Keywords : Tourism development, implication, socio-economic, Sibunga-bunga village

Abstract

ABSTRACT Natsepa beach is one of the famous tourist attraction in the city of Ambon Maluku province, which is located in the Central Coast city is a strategic coastal beauty and has the potential to serve as a marine tourism activities. purpose of this study was to determine the tourism potential is Natsepa Beach, as well as to know what marine tourism activities suitable for Natsepa Beach. Research methodology is a qualitative descriptive method, by looking at the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as known results, namely the potential of natural beauty, and accessibility are more dominant.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine the role of Banjar Kajeng community, Pemogan Village and relationship between government, investors and local communities in the management of ecotourism attraction in Tahura Ngurah Rai, Denpasar.Research method that used in this research is qualitative method, with theoretical analysis of typology of a community participation and theory of conflict perspective and equipped by tables of tourism actors involved and the patterns of relationship among tourism actors involved in the management of tourist attraction in Tahura Ngurah Rai. The results obtained by this reasearch are the Banjar Kajeng community participation type is manipulative participation and the relationship between the Government, Investors and Local Communities in the Management of Ecotourism attractions in Tahura Ngurah Rai are at conflict stage.
