Abstract

Human beings always try to implement their religious faith invarious rituals as an instrument to be closed to God. One of such rituals is‘Īd al-Aḍḥā (Islamic Great Bairam) conducted by the community KampungNaga.This ritual accomplishment is continued by Hajat Sasih as thanksexpression to their ancestors. However, they more respect their traditionalcustom, Hajat Sasih ritual, rather than Islamic ritual eventhough theyare actually Muslims. For this reason then they do not sacrifice a lamb inthe Great Bairam day (as obliged by the Islamic doctrine), for they claimthat they are poor people, but on the other occasion they do so for theirtraditional ritual such as ngaruwat lembur. Abstract

Since 16th century until the recent age, study commentary is increasing gradually in Indonesia. It was characterized by the spirit of produce commentaries from scholars of Indonesia (pre-modern) such as works of Abd al-Raûf al-Sinkilî (Tarjumân al-Mustafid), Syaikh Nawawî (Tafsir Maraẖ Labid) and Aẖmad Sanusî (Tafsir al-Qurân al-Karîm), and modern era explicitly Quraish Shihab (Tafsir al-Misbah) and Didin Hafidhudddin (Tafsir al-Hijri). On the other hand, Quranic exegesis is magnetizing the modern society, academia, and the government. Two things are a sign that Indonesia necessitates developing new outlooks contained in the works of interpretation, so the view of Indonesian society are to be more extensive and varied without being limited by one of his Indonesian commentators. Yunan Yusûf , one of the Indonesian Muslim philosopher, within Tafsir Khuluqun 'Adzîm endeavors coloring Indonesian elucidation by creating distinctive work that is an interpretation of the Quran from the short chapters (Madanî) to the extended chapters (Makî). This article discovers specifically the explanation of the al-Mulk to find a methodology, sources, references and pattern of his works.  This paper depicts qualitative method with the analytical comparative approach through the two references commentaries Indonesia Tafsîr al-Azhâr and al-Miṣbah. Yunan interprets the Quran critically and decisively utilizing the color philosophy. He is able to convey the message of the Qur'an by using the correlation of the Quran (munâsabah al-Qurân bi al-Qurân) either on his work title or his clarification content. This article concludes that the better sources is preferred the more authentic the exegesis is and the more dominant the type of commentaries is the more pattern work is.

Abstract

This paper attempts to appreciate the work of an ex-priest who now is a Muslim author, Jerald F. Dirks, entitled Abrahamic Faiths. In the context of comparative religion studies, the writer (Kautsar Azhari)asks: is this Dirks’ work a comparison or competition of religions? Kautsar concludes that the work tends to be a competition in between the Abrahamic religions. However, the match was a friendly match. Abstract

Umrah carried out by agencies of a travel agency with several provisions issued by the ministry of religion RI. The meaning of mahram that was set by the ministry of religion is include to a mahram pilgrims, mahram referred in family relationship or marriage. This is regulated by the rules of registration of pilgrims and associated with the administration of Hajj and Umrah service. So that they try as much as possible to include a mahram as defined in the shari'ah by including the documents to indicate the mahram validation. They try to make it all based on the documents which corroborate these requirement as evidence of the validity of requirement. The provision as above, would be very detrimental to women those will carry out the pilgrimage, because they will be burdened with additional costs while they did not get the expected benefits. For contextual understanding that participation of mahram can be interpreted as safety. But in pilgrimage, mahram has not been found detailed provisions in the pilgrims discurs. By paying a "mahram money" for women under 40 years old those without mahram in $ 300,000 upto $. 600,000, they will be looked for a Mahram by officer. Although, for the fact or in practice, during Umrah trip, they are not accompanied by a mahram that should accompany during the implementation of Umrah.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mendiskusikan paradigma yang berada di balik metode pemahaman hadis klasik dan modern. Kesimpulan sementara, metode pemahaman hadis klasik –yang diwakili ilmu matan hadis, dibangun di atas dasar paradigma positivis, dan metode modern dibangun di atas paradigma konstruktivis. Penelitian juga mengarah kepada kesimpulan belum berkembangnya metode pemahaman hadis berdasar paradigma kritis. Dalam penelitian ini, dua variabel yang diteliti adalah ilmu matan hadis sebagai instrumen pemahaman yang populer dan pemahaman pemilahan peran Nabi berdasar maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah yang dikembangkan Ibn ‘Āshūr (1973 M.). Kedua variabel tersebut dipotret dalam kerangka pergeseran paradigma analisis wacana.

Abstract

Kelompok Islam fundamentalis (seringkali) dianggap sebagaipihak yang paling bertanggungjawab atas beragam peristiwa berdarah diberbagai belahan dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Di negara-negara TimurTengah, gerakan radikalisme Islam telah berakar-urat dan memiliki sejarahyang cukup panjang. Akan tetapi, dalam hal genealoginya, ada yangmenegaskan bahwa Islam radikal berasal dari dua organisasi keagamaan,yakni kelompok al-Ikhwan al-Muslimin (Hasan al-Banna [1906-1949],Mesir) dan Jamaat-i Islami (Abū al-A‘lā al-Mawdūdī [1903-1979],Pakistan). Dari keduanyalah (kemudian) beranak-pinak menjadigerakan-gerakan Islam radikal di berbagai belahan dunia Muslim, meskiberbeda-beda bentuknya, dan tidak terkecuali Indonesia.

Abstract

Since prehistoric times ethnic and Javanese communities have been a religious and godly society. The divine value, monotheism, which is embedded in the spirit of Javanese people can be seen from cultural values, for example Wayang. Wayang as a medium for the cultivation of the divine spirit and social-society values cannot be separated from Wali Songo’s ingenuity, especially Sunan Kalijaga. Cultural values will be more easily accepted by the public if their delivery is subtle, persuasive and in accordance with the psychology of ethnic (Javanese) who prioritize subtlety of mind and taste. Some wayang figures who are quite familiar, favorite and have sacred value are Semar. Semar became the main character in everything, both as an ordinary figure and a role as a servant, state adviser and spiritual figure. In the wayang narrated that Semar always soothes and water the hearts of every human heart that is barren, restless, and far from God.

Abstract

Imam al-Bukhāri berpendapat bahwa jalur periwayatan hadis yang paling terpercaya adalah yang menggunakan jalur Malik bin Anas dari Nafi’ dari Ibn Umar, dan Imam al-Shāfi’iy adalah murid imam Malik yang paling Masyhur. Akan tetapi muncul sebuah pertanyaan mengapa al-Bukhāry tidak meriwayatkan hadis dengan jalur al-Shāfi’iy, sehingga memunculkan persangkaan bahwa ia adalah seorang yang lemah dalam periwayatan hadis, meskipun semua itu tidak menurunkan martabat al-Shafi’iy sebagai ahli ḥadīth dan tidak pula menjadikan riwayatnya dihukumi ḍā’īf di kalangan pengikut madzhabnya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa penyebab imam al-Bukhāry tidak meriwayatkan ḥadīth-ḥadīth melalui jalur imam al-Shafi’iy dari Imam Malik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, ternyata al-Bukhāry juga meriwayatkan beberapa ḥadīth yang juga diriwayatkan oleh al-Shafi’iy dengan matan dan jalur yang sama. Karena itu orang yang menganggap bahwa al-Shāfi’iy itu ḍa’īf, maka anggapan itu adalah salah besar sebagaimana jika ada yang mengatakan bahwa perawi thiqah (yang terpercaya) hanyalah mereka yang terdapat dalam kutub sittah saja.
