Abstract

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender movements are now a mondial phenomenon. The LGBT community has dared to show itself to the surface. Not only in the Western world alone, but LGBT excitement also rife in the homeland. The emergence of LGBT community in the midst of people's life raises pro and contra. Some people criticize the existence of the LGBT community, because it is considered a people with abnormal behavior and deviates from religious teachings. Others accept it as part of appreciating their exclusion in Human Rights. This study attempts to answer some key questions: What are the views of Islamic teachings and the Human Rights Charter on LGBT behavior? How can the human rights and religious doctrine match in solving this LGBT problem? What are the LGBT prevention solutions and solutions that can be done? To answer this question, research is done by studying religious texts be it the Qur'an or hadith, and the text of the Human Rights Charter. Both types of texts are examined in various approaches; theological, historical, philosophical, medical, tafsir, hermeneutical, jurisprudence and psychological. Content analisys method was initially performed on the text of the Qur'an and the hadith. Matan hadith explored by takhrij method and study of hadith text. From this study, it is concluded that LGBT behavior in religious doctrine is strictly prohibited. Likewise the Human Rights Charter can not justify LGBT behavior under the pretext of individual freedom. Because individual freedom is automatically limited by other individual freedoms and legislation. Treatment and prevention solutions can be done to LGBT behaviors. Because psychically, LGBT behavior is a psychiatric disease that can be treated and prevented.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan kemunculan Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia(HTI) sejak tahun 1980an, di masa-masa demokrasi. HTI denganmenggunakan sarana demokrasi justru berupaya mendirikan kekhalifahandengan implementasi hukum Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tapitidak dengan cara kekerasan, melainkan dengan damai. Walau demikiangerakan HTI ini ditengarai justru menghambat proses demokratisasi diIndonesia.

Abstract

Matan ḥadīth criticism is not new in the scientific world of ḥadīth, criticism of matan ḥadīth has been done since the time of the Prophet and the companions and then continued until the present. The existence of criticism of traditions in the history of traditions must have been born along with the number of persons who misuse the function of ḥadīth to the rise of counterfeiting of traditions to achieve irresponsible interests. The figures to be discussed are figures that are considered controversial for some people, because these two figures reject the authentic hadith that contradicts its meaning with the Qur’an. Therefore the author here feels the need for a review of the understanding of these two figures related to their understanding of the traditions, hadith aḥad, and the methodology of understanding the traditions with the Qur’anic approach.

Abstract

This paper tries to examine some issues considered important i.e.fīrst, the nature of fundamentalism as a manifestation of religious thought. Second, the nature of liberalism as a form of religious thought. Third, the importance of explanation about interpretation, appreciation and realization of religion which have given birth to a different mode of interpretation that does not lead to conflict.Keywords: Fundamentalism, liberalism, religion.

Abstract

Pemahaman antara berqurban (dengan huruf ‘q’) dan berkurban (dengan huruf ‘k’), bagi kebanyakan lidah masyarakat Indonesia, sering diartikan simpang siur, sehingga tidak jarang makna hakiki dari ibadah itu sendiri lebur begitu saja dengan sangat mudah. Padahal, jika direnungkan lebih mendalam, masing-masing term memiliki karakteristik yang khas. Di dalamnya, meskipun terkadang memiliki tujuan yang sama, yakni sesuatu yang bisa saja berbentuk materi untuk orang lain yang membutuhkan atau kesusahan, baik sebagai korban kezhaliman atau korban bencana alam, namun akan nampak jelas perbedaan pada penghayatan keduanya. Tulisan ini mencoba untuk menjembatani, dan sebisa mungkin akan memberikan penyelesaian terhadap seputar pembahasan kedua terminologi tersebut.

Many inquiries have been made about the existence of Ikatan Cendekiawan Muslim Indonesia (ICMI - phonetically: Each Me - Asociaton of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals), notably after Bachruddin Jusuf Habibie resigned form the presidency, and 'Gus Dur' (a nickname of Abdurrahman Wahid) was elected as the new president of Indonesia (the fourth president) for the period 1999-2004.

Abstract

This paper describes the theories of ushul fiqh as an approached in the study of hadith criticism matn and try to answer the question to what extent ushul accommodated by science musthalah al- Hadith . The findings from this study is that the theories of usul fiqh as Jam' al - riwayah , nasikh - mansukh , tarjih, and maqasid al - Sharia are important theories used by the experts of hadith, although in practice, sometimes there are different results among scholars of usul fiqh and hadith scholars in addressing honor a tradition that was born contradictory.

Penelitian ini mengaji ideologi liberalisme yang tersirat dalamstatus akun Twitter @Ulil milik Ulil Abshar Abdalla sebagai pendirikelompok Jaringan Islam Liberal (JIL) dengan menggunakan pendekatananalisis wacana kritis untuk mengetahui pandangan, keberpihakan,pendapat yang pro-kontra dari pengguna Twitter lain, dan ideologi dariakun @Ulil. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodeanalisis wacana kritis yang diterapkan oleh Norman Fairclough, yangmenitikberatkan deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi teks. Interpretasi dandeskripsi teks dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan makrostrukturTeun A. van Dijk untuk mencari makroproposisi dan makrostruktur setiapstatus dari akun Twitter @Ulil.Hasil penelitian ini memerlihatkan bahwaterdapat ideologi liberalisme yang tersirat di dalam akun Twitter @Ulilyang termanifestasi ke dalam bentuk-bentuk kebahasaan.

Abstract

This article explores the insights of inclusivism and tolerance in Islamic religious education (PAI) textbooks in Brawijaya University (UB) Malang. This article is the result of research by reading textbooks, interviewing six PAI lecturers and focus group discussions (FGD) at UB Malang in December 2018. In general, there are many material aspects in the textbooks that encourage students to be open, respect for diversity and behave tolerant of different Islamic schools of thought. This is emphasized by the PAI lecturers since UB is a public university belong to the public and because in Islam itself there are many different understandings and schools of thought. The spirit of inclusivism, cosmopolitan and tolerance is seen explicitly in PAI UB’s textbooks and becomes the vision of PAI lecturers. If there is a deviation from the book tends to be a closed ideology, intolerant, and against the Republic of Indonesia, then it can be ascertained because of the “lecturer initiative” personally, and do not represent Lembaga Pusat Pembinaan Agama (the Central Institution of Religious Development).
