Abstract

Pembangunan kepariwisataan yang dilaksanakan melalui pengembangan kekayaan alam serta kekayaan budaya bangsa yang beraneka ragam, harus mampu menjadi sarana untuk menge­jawentahkan program pembangunan daerah, sehingga  pariwisata dapat memberikan sumbangan dalam menambah pendapatan daerah, memperluas kesempatan kerja, meningkatkan dan memeratakan pendapatan masyarakat serta memperkenalkan wisata daerah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan adalah sebagai berikut : (1) Faktor obyek wisata, atraksi wisata, dan sarana pariwisata terhadap kepuasan wisatawan di kota Blitar adalah baik karena sudah ditata sedemikian rupa sehingga mampu menarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke kota Blitar. (2) Pengaruh antara faktor obyek wisata, atraksi wisata, dan sarana pariwisata secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan wisatawan yang berkunjung ke kota Blitar dan pengaruh antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y secara parsial terhadap kepuasan wisatawan juga signifikan. (3) Faktor yang paling dominan terhadap kepuasan wisatawan di kota Blitar adalah sarana pariwisata.

Abstract

Guest satisfaction is the main core of the service which is provided in hospitality industry. Guests will feel very appreciated and respected to hotel where every employee has a good communication. Communication is very important for every department, especially in the Front Office Department. Because Front Office is the most important part when guests arrive at the hotel. Thus guests will feel comfortable to stay in the hotel. The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of good communication in maintaining and improving guest satisfaction at Hotel Tugu Malang. The research method which was used in this research were interviews and observation. The conclusion shows that the communication has a very important role to support all kinds of needs in order to avoid a miss communication.

Abstract

Nowadays, eviromental management has gotten a fully attention. Then, hospitality industry in East Java Province has committed to the Eco Friendly Enviroment needs a deep investigation in order to analyze a practical managment of hotel product which uses an eviromental friendly method in improving efficiency of energy, water, air quality, and solid waste management and liquid waste management system. This research used a descriptive qualitatif method which chracterized causuality and using a survey method. Data were collected by using an istitutional-perceptional approach and were analyzed by using enviromental performance scale from 1 to 5 point toward Green Hotel practice. The conclusion from the investigation result are; 45% hotel understand the concept and green product implementation. 50% hotel reuse the water to pour the garden. 40% about operating procedure such as towel reuse and bed sheet. 90% of the hotel already use VRV air-conditioner which can adjust the temperature suitable with the number of the people in the room and its automatically turn off when there are no people in the room. 45% shows that hotel provide dispenser to combine shampoo and conditioner (hair moisturizer) in one product so it will decrease the plastic waste.

Abstract

The quality of human resources are now in the poor level. By the diversification of people livelihoods (especially in ecotourism), it is possible to minimize the pressure on human resources. The purposes of this study are: 1. To analyze the social condition, economic and cultural community in the coastal resorts of South Malang Regency, 2. To describe a potential beach that has a chance to grow (development), 3. To describe the weakness and resistance of Tourist attraction management (planning and utilization), 4. To describe the opportunities of job opportunities in the sector of tourism services that will be utilized by the community around the tourist attraction area. Research methodology which was used in this study was Partisipatory Rural Appraisal approach (PRA), FGD (Focused Group Discussion), and SWOT. The target to be achieved in this study are: Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of Goa China beach when it is managed properly and professionally, Knowing the types of new tourism business opportunities which will be utilized for improvished families as employment opportunities (Guide, souvenirs seller, food and beverage sellers, etc.), and as policy recommendations on the development of coastal tourism to the government. The final conclusion is that the Tourist Attraction of Goa China has a negative value (-0.45) for the internal environment and a negative value (-0.35) for the external environment. Thus can be deduced that the position Goa China on Third Quadrant (difensif position). And it requires physical development, clean environment, and more public facilities, alternative businesses which needs to grow is mangrove cultivation and turtles breeding, and providing home stay, Internet network, and provision of unique souvenirs.

Abstract

The tourism industry has excellent prospects in moving the economy that can reliably increase the revenue of the country, broaden and flatten the opportunity to strive and their new jobs for people, especially stakeholder in tourism. Development of tourism in Indonesia is not separated from the development in each area in Indonesia. One of them is Semarang, Central Java, which has the rich culture and history that can be used as a tourist attractions. One area that is currently being intensively developed, exploring the potential of Semarang, giving the opportunities for tourism businesses for the society in Central Java. The purpose of this research is to determine how far the importene of promotion to increase tourist interest in history tourism at old town Semarang. The result of the questionnaire which addressed to domestic tourist, the writer condude as follows: 1) circumstances and historical tourism potential of old city in Semarang is very attractive for the visitors, but in terms of management and the facilities both of them are need to be improved, 2) Human resources is less skilled and less experienced in tourism so they need to train their skill to participate in developing the potential and visitors attractions. The method used is descriptive method by collecting data and identifity the problems that exist in old town Semarang.

Abstract

The Background of this research from the topic is the lack of waiter/ waitresss skills and menu knowledge when doing the food and beverage services. The purpose of this research is to know the importance of waiter /waitresss skills and menu knowledge toward guest satisfaction. Method of the research was descriptive qualitative which was collected data by using interview, observation, documentation, quitionare and study of literature. The rusult shows that guests satisfaction are decreased and proved by the respondents quitionare result which shows that the guests are not satified with the waiter/ waitress skills and menu knowledge.

Abstract

Malang has biggest property icon in Southeast Asia that is Sawojajar. It makes Sawojajar possible to establish a tourism place and facilities at once for the regency residents. Sawojajar Waterpark will grow rapidly because it can be seen from Sawojajar residents needs and all Malang residents. The expect stakeholders can help the implementation of Sawojajar Waterpark establishment program are PDAM Malang, private investors, Sawojajar residents, Malang Tourism Agency, Malang Revenue Agency and Education Agency which active in tourism in Malang. The steps to achieve Sawojajar Waterpark in Perumnas Negeri Khayal can be reached in five steps, they are, land purchase, establishment with water installation, safety test from the vehicle that will establish, employees recruitment, promotion, and operational.

Abstract

Malang raya as a place of a tourist destination , must always be innovating and innovation to keep the existence and increase the appeal for tourists. One thing that should not be forgotten is that Malang has Osob Ngalaman or language Malangan. That language has two the main characteristics namely: typical language Malang / the dialect of malang (osob ngalaman) and their language Walikan. Both are fused and inseparable in language usage , both in oral and written. This research is a qualitative descriptive study aims to determine the dialect Malangan covering the structure of words, phrases and grammatical structure of the language used by people in the social network community. These results indicate that the structure of the word in Osob Ngalaman, there are variety of structures, even there is no rule of words between the speakers and the other said flipping the different words. In addition to reverse the order of the letters in the words, in Osob Ngalaman also contained original words such as Genaro, Lawet, Sibun. OsobNgalaman used the words of a language, 2 or even 3 languages (Java, Bahasa, and English). There are sentences that all words are reversed. Generally, not all the words revesed. Number of words that reversed also varies its speakers depends. For the benefit of tourism promotion and sustainability Osob Ngalaman it is necessary to stipulate or established institution OSOB NGALAMAN CENTER. It has a duty major: documenting Osob Ngalaman; conducted a study of continuous to the development of Osob Ngalaman; Formulating simple textbook, making a Osob Ngalaman dictionary; became the central of learning Osob Ngalaman ; designing and planning to using Osob Ngalaman as means of Malang tourism promotion.

Abstract

Soetomo (2007), tourism development efforts which is local society oriented is still low and there are a lot of development failure because the policy holder still think partially. They only think about institution and sectorasl ego; society considered do not have the financial ability and quality skill to manage or participated directly in tourism nature and culture based activities.The aim of this research is 1) arrange the tourism rural activity area based on society sustainability tourism development. 2) Mapping the potentials, necessity and issues to plan the rural tourism development. 3) Empowering the societyto be responsible and play an active role toward planning and managing the rural tourism. This research is using qualitative descriptive with its variable rural tourism developmant plan. The data were collected by using observation, interview, documentation, and directional group discussion. The data analysis method is using appraisal rural partisipatory method consist of village history, seasonal calendar, daily lifes, village map, transect, livelihood analysis, and matrix ranking.

Abstract

In food presentation, especialy in a restaurant and a hotel, required human resource who have artistics soul, creativity, and high profesionalism. Thus food layout and garnish variation can increase guests satisfaction. But now food layout and garnish are often forgotten. The writter want to know the importance of food layout and garnish for guest satisfaction and guests response to food that are served. The Writter used primary and secondary data collections method and then analyzed using descriptive-qualitative method. The lack of human resources who understand the art of food production, limit variety of food layout and garnish. And then increase guests surfeit who have become rugular guest. For the guests food layout and garnish are important think and proportional against guests satisfaction.
