Abstract

This study analyzes both of directly effects between implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) on employee’s performance and indirectly effect through job satisfaction. Subjects of this study were all the employees sited on production department of PT. Setia Kawan Makmur Sejahtera Tulungagung. The sampling technique used is the simple random sampling with 152 respondents. Model analysis used is a structural model with the Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of this study reveal that the improving of TQM practices would led to increased both of employee’s job satisfaction and employee’s performance directly. Then, the higher of job satisfaction can also enhance the employee’s performance directly. The mediation test result show that job satisfaction have partial mediationg role in effect of TQM practices on employee’s performance. Moreover, the overall results implies that teamwork is the most important aspect in building a good relations among employees, so as to encourage the employee’s job satisfaction and ultimately improve the quality of employee’s performance. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2313

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and describe the process of the orientation component of entrepreneurship (Passion, Risk Taking, proactive, innovative) in improving business performance by Siti Hajnia as Owner of Saboten Shokudo as an individual culinary business owner in Malang. The research method used in this research is qualitative research method of phenomenology. Data analysis technique used in this research is with interactive model. Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine and analyze the direct impact of perceived value and service quality on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. This study also examine and analyze the indirect impact of perceived value and service quality on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as mediation variable. In addition, it also examine the indirect impact of perceived value, service quality, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty with gender as moderation variable.The study surveyed a sample of 120 respondents in Kota Baru Train Station in Malang City. Purposive sampling was chosen as a method to determine the samples. The study used Partial Least Square (PLS) - Structural Equation Model (SEM) as analytical tools to test the hypothesis. The results showed that perceived value and service quality has impact on customer satisfaction, perceived value and customer satisfaction has an impact on customer loyalty, service quality has no significant impact on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction mediates the impact of perceived value on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction mediates the impact of service quality on customer loyalty, gender has not moderatory impact of perceived value, service quality,and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2315

Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to analyzes how much influence transformational leadership (X1) and transactional leadership (X2) to organizational climate (Z) and organizational citizenship behavior (Y) at RSUD Genteng Kabupaten Banyuwangi. This research used a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square. As for the number of samples as many 130 respondents taken by using Proportional Random Sampling method. The results of this study whole that transformational leadership and transactional leadership have a significant effect on organizational climate. Transformational leadership and transactional leadership have a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, either directly or indirectly through organizational climate. Based on the results of this study, the management of hospitals need to develop what has been a common perception and understanding between the leadership with employees, by innovating in terms of policy leaders, both for the organization as a whole or required for employees. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2316

Abstract

This study analyzes both of directly effects between NPL on ROA and indirectly effect through CAR and BOPO. As an explanatory study, research framework developed by testing the mediation effect of CAR and BOPO in order to increasing the effect of NPL to ROA. Subjects of this study were all the private bank listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Based on population criteria stated previously the total population was 25 companies. The sampling technique used in this research was census method with total unit data 125 in five year period. By using path analysis with software SPSS 23 version, findings revealed that NPL have no significant effect on both of CAR and ROA. Thus, NPL have negative significant effect on BOPO. Otherwise, CAR and BOPO have positive significant effect to ROA. In testing the mediating effect, BOPO fully mediating in the effect of NPL on ROA, in contrary CAR was not. Abstract

The purpose of this study are to know the distinction of brand attitude, purchase intention, and consumer knowledge in fashion product which using local-name brand and foreign-name brand, also the influence of brand attitude toward purchase intention with moderate effect of consumer knowledge. Population including students in University of Brawijaya Malang. Total samples are 260 respondents divided into two groups, local-name brand and foreign-name brand group. Data analysis technique used is t-Test and PLS analysis. This study found that there is difference consumer knowledge in local-name brand and foreign-name brand group. But there are no significant differences brand attitude and purchase intention in both groups. Results of this study indicates that there are significant and positive influence in the relationship between brand attitude toward purchase intention. Objective knowledge moderated relationship between brand attitude toward purchase intention in local-name group only. Besides, those relationship is not moderated by subjective knowledge in both groups. Therefore, company can use a brand name that characterizes the origin of the product, especially when the product is a local product. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2319

Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to analyze the effect of macroeconomic variables and foreign stock price on Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in Indonesia Stock Exchange covering the data period from January 2008 to December 2015. The methodology applied initially used the standard time series techniques, Vector Autoregression (VAR). The result showed that JCI are influenced with the selected macroeconomic and foreign stock price. Increasing in industrial production index and inflation will increase JCI, but exchange rate (Rp/USD) will decreases it. Money supply (M2) and interest rate is found insignificant on JCI. Strait Times Index, Philippines Stock Exchange Index and Dow Jones Industrial Average are found positively and significantly influenced JCI. However, Nikkei 225 and Shanghai Composite Index negatively and significantly influenced JCI. Kuala Lumpur Composite Index and stock Exchange of Thailand insignificant influenced JCI. Our finding suggest that JCI can be influence by macroeconomic variables and stock price in develop country and countries that are in the same region. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2321

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the process of increasing the employee engagement of the nurse children’s unit in the Balai Klinik Ibu Anak RKZ Malang. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenology design to explain the application of the leadership model hospital of directors and motivation of nurse children’s unit in an effort to increase their engagement. Data were collected by interviewing 7 informants who are senior, intermediate and junior nursing staff. Data were analyzed using the Interactive Model of Analysis. The results showed that the application leadership model of hospital director for senior and intermediate nurses through the delegation of authority and involvement in decision-making; and for junior nurses through leading by example and description of vision and mission hospitals. Intrinsic motivation of nurses in the works are a live call and pride in their work, while extrinsic motivation is the incentive, salary, promotion, exchange office space, conducive working environment and good relationship between colleagues. The existence of unresolved conflicts between the hospital director with the senior nursing staff related to dissatisfaction in the distribution of incentives encouraging the increased desire to resign from the job and is more suited completed transactional leadership models. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2322

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of credit risk, liquidity risk, management efficiency to profitability mediated by capital in Banking company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2010-2014. This research is an explanatory research that consists of the whole of 26 Banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2010-2014 as sample. Thus, this study used saturated sampling technique which is involving all numbers of population. In addition, path analysis uses in this study as data analysis. The result shows that credit risk, liquidity risk and management efficiency have direct negative and significant effect to capital. Then, Credit risk, and management efficiency have a direct negative and significant effect on profitability. Moreover, liquidity risk have no direct effect on profitability. While, capital has a direct positive and significant effect on profitability. Abstract

This study analyzed the influence of relational benefits and perceived value in increasing customer trust and loyalty. This study used the data of 130 questionnaires with purposive sampling as the sampling method performed on Miracle Aesthetic beauty clinic in Malang. The population was all customers of Miracle Clinic who were currently in Miracle Clinic. The data analysis instrument was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) on program SmartPLS version 2.0. The analysis result showed that relational benefits had the highest influence on trust and loyalty. Perceived value influenced the increase of customer trust and loyalty. In this study, trust also increased customer loyalty and increase the influence of relational benefits on loyalty and perceived value on loyalty partially. Loyal customer contributed to Miracle by performing indirect marketing through word of mouth. Then, customers made Miracle Clinic in Malang their main preference in beauty service. The managerial implication suggested by this study is emphasizing on the implementation of relational benefits and increasing perceived value of old and new customers so that the customers trust the company more and be loyal. DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jbm.v5i1.2317
