Abstract

Background : health reproduction is the physical health, mentally, and social welfare and also the reproduction process. Teenagers have to know about the health of reproduction. Female teenager in 15-19 years old, almost of them discussed about the health of reproduction with peers. The less discipline and careless of female teenagers on the cleaness of themselves while menstruation Objective : knowing the relation between peers toward personal hygiene during menstruation in female teenager at Muhammadiyah Manafi?ul Ulum Boarding School Sambi Boyolali. Method : there was a analytical observational research with quantitative cross sectional research design. The sample in this research was all of the female teenager that lived at Muhammadiyah Manafi?ul Ulum Boarding School Sambi Boyolali about 36 female teenagers. The sample technique is totally sampling with fullfill inklusion and eksklusion, criteria there was 30 sample of female teenagers. Questionnaire used to measure of relationship with the peers and personal hygiene during menstruation. The data analysis used spearman rank. Result : there was relation with peers toward personal hygiene during menstruation in female teenager at Muhammadiyah Manafi?ul Ulum Boarding School Sambi Boyolali with p value 0,034 (p < 0,05). Conclusion: the better relation with peers, means that personal hygiene better than before during menstruation in female teenager.

Abstract

Background. Factors influencing the selection of contraceptive methods used were prediction The low utilization of MKJP KB is caused by several factors. Factors influencing the selection of contraceptive methods used were prediction factors (age, education, number of children, knowledge, attitude), supporting factors (availability of contraceptives, house distance to puskesmas, travel time and cost), driving factors (health care support) . Acceptors who choose non-long-term contraceptives mention the reasons for choosing a family planning method because they do not need to show genitals in their installation. Long-term contraceptive methods (MKJPs) are users of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and implants 221,824 (23.74%) and non-users of contraceptive methods long term 712,481 (76.26%) Aim. Knowing what factors cause low use of long-term contraceptives in Trucuk Health Center of Klaten Regency. Research methods. This research uses descriptive method with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all family planning acceptors of Non Long Term Contraceptive Method (MKJP) in Trucuk I District Health Center of Klaten Regency on January 1 to November 2016, with 1,631 people, 86 samples. Sampling technique purposive sampling. Data analysis using frequency distribution.  Research Result. Factors influencing the selection of contraceptive methods used were prediction factors (age is 46,5%, education is 44,2%, number of children is 65,1%, knowledge is 69,8%), supporting factors is 77,9% (availability of contraceptives, house distance to public health, travel time and cost), driving factors (health care support). Conclusion. The level of knowledge about family planning is sufficient, husband support is good, social culture is not good.

Abstract

Background: Good stimulation for baby can be given by parents to optimize his/her potential development. Factors which are related to the children growth and development are sufficient nutrition and supportive family environment. Besides, from the children personal side, it can be given stimulation. One of the stimulation which is commonly done by parents is tactile stimulation in a form of baby massage. Objective:The aim of this study is too find out the influence of baby massage toward rough motoric  development at the baby age  0 ? 12 months old on Nadiayu baby care in Glodogan residence, Klaten. Research Method: This study used experiment method. The population of the research was the baby at 0 ? 12 months old on Nadiayu baby care in Glodogan Indah residence, Klaten. There were 20 babies as the sample. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was Denver Developmental Screening Test(DDST). The data were analyzed by using wilcoxon test. Result: The rough motoric development at the baby age 0 ? 12 month before giving treatment is delayed as big as 40 % and after giving treatment is normal (40%). The result of P value is 0,002 (P<0,05). Conclusion : There is influence of baby massage toward the rough motoric development at baby age 0 ? 12 month on Nadiayu baby care in Glodogan Indah residence, Klaten.

Abstract

Background: In the elderly, there is a decrease of the brain ability and senility. The decline of memory that happened in the elderly can be fixed by doing brain gymnastics. To handling of dementia can be given by simulation to increase the ability of the right hemisphere that need to give an exercise or game which are need the concentration, orientation, attention to memory and visual. Brain gymnastics is the one of simulations of preventive way to optimize stimulate of brain function to getting better. Goal: Knowing the influence of brain gymnastics toward the level of dementia in the elderly posyandu at Mrisen village, Juwiring, Klaten. Research Methodology: This research used of pre-experimental design research with one group pre-test post-test design. The population in this research is all of the member of elderly posyandu at Mrisen, Juwiring, Klaten. The technique of taking the sample using purposive sampling with 25 respondents. The instrument of this research is using questionnaire of Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). Result: The result of one group that given treatment by using paired samples T-test showed that there was significance score about 0,000 (p=0,000<0,05%). T count 10,324, T table 2,060. Conclusion: There was the influence of brain gymnastics toward the level of dementia in the elderly posyandu at Mrisen village, Juwiring, Klaten. This is evidenced by the existence of the difference score in pre-test and post-test of MMSE which indicates a decrease in the level of dementia before and after giving treatment of brain gymnastics.

Abstract

Background : Injectable contraception in the most popular alternative because it is easy to use and practice. Injectable contraception that most popular is injectable contraception three months that is given in every three months and also consist of progestin hormone without estrogen. KB injection three months has the high level of success, but also it has the effects, one of the effects is the menstrual disorders. Aim of the research : To know about how strong the relationship between the used of KB injection three months and getting of spotting in BPM Mujiyem, Gabahan Village Banyudono, Boyolali. Research Design : This research is survey analytical with cross sectional by quantitative the population in this research was all of the acceptor who used KB in BPM Mujiyem of Gabahan Village, Banyudono, Boyolali it was about 867 acceptor. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling, 90 respondents. Gathering of datas by using opened questionnaire that consist of the used KB Injection three months, age, job, paritas, spotting, and history of spotting. To analyze the data used univariat and bivariat analysis. Result : The result of this research showed that there is relationship between the used of KB Injection Three Months and spotting in 0,019 (p<0,05). The contingency coefficients is 0,019, it means that the relation between the used of KB Injection Three Months and spotting very low. Conclusion : The used of KB injection three month causes the effects in menstrual disorders, it is spotting. The suggestion for the health workers before giving the contraception service they have to give conseling about the contraception that will be used

Abstract

Background: According to WHO (2013), the elderly population in 2050 is estimated to increase threefold from 2013. The elderly will experience physical changes such as sight and hearing impairment as well as sleep disorder or hard to sleep. Sleep quality is influenced by several factors,such as disease, fatigue, medicine, and stress. According to APA (2013), about 42% of adults report having poor sleep quality and 43% report that stress has caused staying awake at night. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the correlation between stress level and sleep quality of elderly at Dukuh Village, Banyudono Sub-District, Boyolali District Research Method: This study is a kind of quantitative correlation with cross sectional approach. The population of this study is all elderly at Dukuh, Banyudono, Boyolali which amounts to 434 elderly. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study  is the PSS 14 (Perceived Stress Scale 14) and the PSQI (Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire. The data were analyzed using chi square test. Results: The respondents' characteristics were 60 ? 65 years old (32.9%), female (58.5%), male (41,5%), housewife (32.9%), and elementary school educated (36.6%). Most elderly have low stress (42,7%) and have poor sleep quality (74,4%). Chi Square obtained a value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion: There is correlation between stress level and sleep quality of elderly at Dukuh, Banyudono, Boyolali

Abstract

Background: Mother Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia in 2015 is still quite high as many as 6400 people. In 2015 one of MMR the cause is infection and breast inflammation, the prevention is  deepening the knowledge and change the negative attitude into a positive attitude about the basic needs of postpartum. The results of preliminary study in December 2016 from interviews 4 postpartum got 3 respondents (75%) have good knowledge level, and 1 respondent (25%) have less knowledge level. Objectives: To determine the level of knowledge and postpartum attitude about the basic needs of postpartum mothers Research method: This research uses quantitative descriptive method, with cross sectional research design. This research was conducted at BPMHermin Ekowati Tawangsari Hamlet, Ngenden Village, Ampel District, Boyolali District in May-June 2017. The population is a sample with the technique of purposive sampling. The research instrument used questionnaire on the variables of knowledge and attitude variable. Analysis of univariate analysis. Research Result: Knowledge of postpartum mother in BPM Hermin Ekowati Tawangsari Hamlet, Ngenden Village, Ampel District, Boyolali District have sufficient level of knowledge about basic need of postpartum mother as many as 19 people (54.3%) and attitude about basic need of postpartum majority have positive attitude 27 persons (77.1%). Conclusion:The most of  knowledge level postpartum mother is knowledgeable enough and the attitudes toward the basic needs of postpartum mother has a positive attitude.

Abstract

Background : The elderly population increases every year and cases of morbidity due to degenerative diseases are increased which includes gout and hypertension. Inflammation plays an important role in the occurrence of hypertension. Recent studies have found that uric acid is also associated with inflammatory processes. Purpose : to know how the relationship between uric acid levels with blood presseure in the elderly in work area Puskesmas Pedan Regency of Klaten. Research Methods: This research is a type of survey research (Survey Research Method). The sample used in this study is ± 60 years old elderly in the work area Puskesmas Pedan  regency of Klaten as many as 88 people with purposive sampling sampling technique. Data analysis using Chi Square test. Result : There is a significant correlation between uric acid level and blood pressure in elderly in work area Puskesmas Pedan regency of Klaten with significance value of P value = 0,000 which means P value ? 0,05 Ho is rejected. The results of this study can be concluded that the elderly who have high uric acid levels accompanied by hypertension and elderly with normal uric acid levels accompanied by normal blood pressure as well, so the hypothesis in this study accepted. Conclusion: in this study to find the relationship of uric acid levels with blood pressure, and the result is elderly who have high uric acid level also in accompanied by hypertension state.

Abstract

Fermented milk is milk that has been fermented by inoculation of starter culture of lactic acid-producing bacteria. BAL has a wide distribution and growing ability on various organic substrates and conditions such as acidic, alkaline, low temperature, high temperature, high salt, anaerobic conditions. In this study aims to determine the antifungal power of Candida albicans growth. Tests were conducted on samples taken from the Village Blanceran Karanganom Klaten. Candida albicans is a species of fungus that causes cutaneous and mucosal candidiasis. Until recently, treatment of candidiasis has depended on the use of oral or topical antibiotics. As an alternative therapy, some researchers recommend the use of probiotics, so the use of antibiotics can be reduced. The results show that there is no zone of resistance to Candida albicans this is because BAL still has nutrients to grow in the well and has not come out to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. BAL can not directly shake and required isolation first.

Abstract

Background: Partus is the process whereby the baby, placenta and amniotic membranes out of the womb. Maternity coverage in Indonesia by skilled health personnel has increased significantly from 61.4% in 2007 to 87.4% in 2011. Pregnancy exercise is exercise that is done during pregnancy in order to physically and mentally prepare pregnant women, in the hope the birth will go smoothly and safely. Based on data from a preliminary study in January to September 2012 as many as 90 women giving birth, 63 mothers doing pregnancy exercise and 27 pregnant mothers do not do gymnastics. Objective: To determine the relationship of pregnancy exercise with a long stage of labor in primipara 1.   Research methods: The research was an analytic observational cohort study design and approach of retrospective time. Statistical tests using a simple test that Relative Risk. In the entire study population, maternal primiparity. The samples in this study were all women giving birth who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sampling purposive sampling with a sample population of 63 respondents and 39 maternal primiparous.   The results: of the 39 respondents shows that there are 24 respondents (61.5%) of pregnant mothers do gymnastics and 15 respondents (38.5%) did not do gymnastics pregnant. Which means that pregnant women who routinely perform exercises while pregnant whit faster opening speeds 20 times faster than during pregnancy in women who don?t carry pregnancy exercise.   Conclusion: There is a relationship between pregnancy exercise with a long stage of labor 1 in primipara.
