Abstract

One of the problems in the production system is to arrange job scheduling (jobs) so that consumer needs can be fulfilled. To be able to overcome the problems and achieve that goal is to do the production scheduling. Production process scheduling can reduce idle time on production units and minimize work in proces (Rosnani, Ginting 2009: 6). Of the five Hall's production, not only produce one type of product only, each hall produces according to whatever request goes into the company in one month. In each production hall there is a line - line of successive work resulting in the product of jeans, and other products demanded by consumers / buyers. In doing its production PT. Sai Apparel Industries uses 6 working days a week, with 3 shifts and one shift for 8 hours. If within the time specified in the production scheduling is deemed not sufficient target, it will be done overtime to meet those targets. The whole production process at PT. Sai Apparel Industries depends on buyer order, then from the ordering data is made scheduling for daily production to fulfill the request. Keywords: Scheduling, Jobs (Jobs), Consumer Demand

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the performance. Specific target of this research is to eliminate waste that occurs in the process while increasing the capability in the process. The method used in this study is Lean Six Sigma.Lean Six Sigma is a combination of Lean and Six Sigma can be defined as business philosophy, systematic and systematic approach to identify and eliminate waste or non value-added activities (non-value added activities) through continuous improvement to achieve six sigma performance levels, by delivering products (materials, work in process, output) from internal and external customers to pursue excellence and excellence in the form of producing only 3.4 defects for every one million occasions or operations (3 , 4 DPMO). (Gasperz.2006, pp 1-2). Integration between Lean and Six Sigma will improve performance through increased speed and accuracy (zero defect). The Lean approach will show non value added (NVA) and value added (VA) and create value added flows smoothly along the value stream process, while Six Sigma will reduce the variation of value added. (Gasperz.2006, p. 9). The formulation of the problem to be discussed in this research is to identify non value added activities and waste. The research in doing this research is to calculate Value Add and Non Value Add data, calculate Process Cycle Time (PCE) Sigma Level, identifies and calculates the waste and determines the causes of the occurrence of waste processes using the Fish Bone Diagram, performing an analysis with the FMEA method. Improved total lead time from 710 minutes, after repair to 681 minutes.Approved increase of 29 minutes. Efficiency value before improvement is 60.56% then after the improvement up to 58.88%. Keywords: Lean Six Sigma, non value added (NVA), value added (VA) and waste.

Abstract

The method used in this research is the method of Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Where in concept is a multi-attribute model. This technique identifies the strengths and weaknesses of service by using two criteria of service quality and student satisfaction.  In this study aims to determine the level of student satisfaction with the quality of services provided by the Faculty of Economics and Business University Stikubank Semarang. To know the priority service attributes to be improved and maintained. analyzed with servqual method and cartesian diagram. Servqual method is used to determine the level of service quality based on the gap that occurs between perceptions or performance and student expectations, the dimensions used include: responsiveness,  reliability, assurance, emphaty (empathy), and tangibles (tangible). Cartesian diagram is used to identify the priority service attributes to be improved and maintained.  Based on the results of the analysis using servqual method states that students of Faculty of Economics and Business University Stikubank Semarang not satisfied with the services provided. The gap value of the tangible dimension is -0.39, reliability -0.60, responsiveness -0.38, empathy -0.24, assurance -0.18. sequentially ie -0.113, -0.046, -0.048, -0.090, -0.059. The result of Cartesius diagram analysis of attributes that become the main priority to be improved (quadrant I) are item 2, 11 20,21, 23 (quadrant II) that is 1, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 16, 24, 27 (kudran III ) ie items 3, 8, 10, 18, 19, 20, 26, (quadrant IV) ie items 4, 6, 9, 15, 17, 25.  Keywords: Service, Hope, Servqual, Cartesian Diagram, Level of Satisfaction

Abstract

Warehouse layout is one very important issue to be considered, because the layout affect the operating efficiency in the long run.  The problems faced by PT Pantjatunggal Knitting Millin raw material storage. Raw materials that have a frequency shift that is often placed far from the I/O, the distance is too much movement of goods and the amount of material handling costs.Shared storage method is a method used to regulate the storage warehouse to be more effective. Switching frequency of fast-moving material is stored in a warehouse which is closer to the frequency shift and slow-moving material is stored in a warehouse furtherfrom the process. The result of the analysis and design of warehouse layout of raw materials is a new layout with shared storage methods, the distance the movement of good initially for 1.150 meters to 691,6 meters or having a saving of 39,8% from the previous layout. As for the original cost of Rp. 37.375,00 to Rp 21.519,00 or experiencing a saving of 42,5%. Thus the layout of the shared storage method is expected to be used as consideration for the company to reorganizethe layout of the raw materials warehouse PT Pantjatunggal Knitting Mill. Abstract

Small and medium enterprises are businesses that require small capital and small profits. One of the obstacles faced by small and medium enterprises is the lack of equipments. This happens in the traditional chicken slaughtering of Bandar village, Batang, which still uses manual labor in the process of removing chicken feathers. To overcome these problems then conducted research to design a tool in the form of thresher machine chicken feathers that can help the process of threshing fur chicken.Machine design using anthropometry and ergonomics approach and work posture analysis with REBA (rapid throughout body assessment) method. The anthropometric data used are hip height, shoulder width, hip to shoulder, and hand reach. The data has been obtained then test data uniformity, data adequacy test, and percentile determination. The REBA scores on manual removal are 5 with medium risk level which means action is needed to reduce the risk of work. The result of this research is in the form of design of work facility in the form of thresher machine of semi-automatic fur chicken adapted to body dimension. Analysis of work posture with REBA method re-done when using thresher feathers chicken, the result REBA score is 3 with low risk level. The machine is tested directly at the chicken-cutting business, and the result of the machine works quite well. Workers can throw chicken feathers easily and quickly. This machine is also considered very helpful in threshing chicken feathers compared with the previous manual process. Keywords: Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), Anthropometry, Product Design, Ergonomics
