Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on SMEs’ performance. The data were collected from 170 respondents from SMEs in furniture industry located in Klender and Cirebon. The results reveal that entrepreneurial orientation affect SMEs’ performance. The results also show that the degree of EO is approximately the same across all SMEs in both locations. Similar to this, the results found there is no evidence that the degree of EO is different for exporter SMEs and non-exporter SMEs. However, exporter SMEs has better performance compare to their no-exporter counterparts.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the important factors of various types of information for potential students when selecting a university. The data were collected from 202 respondents of students in year 1 at various university in Jabodetabek. The results reveals that students have five personal reasons when they choose HEI i.e. institution reputation, capacity development, facilities on campus, program suitability and tuition fee. The institution reputation emerges as the most important factor when students gather information to choose his or her future HEI. However, tuition fee is the most influential factor which affects student’s decision to enter the university.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to analyze the effect of Education and Training as well as Promotion on Employee Performance PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) UPT Balai Yasa Lahat Divre III Sumsel. This research used data from primary data collected directly from the object under study using questionnaires. Analysis technique in this research is multiple linier regression for obtaining overall concept about the relationship between one variable with the other variables.The result of this research show that Education and Training and promotion influence towards the performance of 59.3%. While partial test results education and training variable has positive and significant effect to employee performance. Promotion variables have positive and dominan effect to employee performance. The results of this research are expected to be used as suggestion, either for PT. Kereta Api UPT Balai Yasa Lahat to managing the company or by researchers further.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze Financial Management Rural Infrastructure Support National Community Empowerment Program ( RIS - PNPM ) in Local Community Organizations (CSOs) sub-district of Musi Rawas Tuah State. The variables used in this study is financial management. The analytic technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the survey results revealed that the financial management of Rural Infrastructure Support National Community Empowerment Program ( RIS - PNPM ) in Local Community Organizations ( CSOs ) sub-district of Musi Rawas Tuah State has gone well, it is known to have responsibility, the ability to organize and manage finances, managed honestly, has the power effectiveness and efficiency, and effectively implemented in accordance with the available budget. Administrators and managers must have a human resource activities and have a good knowledge and mental activity that can be run either by giving pelatiahan - financial management training

Abstract

The research is aimed to analyze customers satisfaction of PT PLN (Ltd) inline with the installation process of prepaid electricity. It is case study whereas the research are mainly focus on Customers of PLN in Sukarami ditrict. the. There are  two main problems in this research. Firstly, What factors affect the customer satisfaction inline with the installation of prepaid electricity. Secondly, whiich dimension of service quality dominantly affect the PLN’ customers. The research mainly used primary data by delivering questionaires to selected respondents. The questionaire was delivered to 99 selected respondents. The research used purposive sampling. The Interpretation Score is also used to analyze the research. The results of the research shows that Interpretation score of each dimension are high. It shows that customers  of PT PLN (Ltd) highly satisfy with the installation process of prefepaid electricity. The research also shows that assurance dimension has great affect or dominant factors (83.93 %) that influence the customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Many people feel confused when they try to seek an appropriate technique to solve phenomenons in th real world. We face many tools existed arround us, some of them can be used for the same purpose, but unlike for others. People could not put unappropriate techniques to solve the same problems they face. This paper try to give you some explanations how to choose an appropriate technique dealing with market competition, especially for a single commodity, or an industry.  I suggest you, you can compute a competition’s index among competitors in the market for a single commodity or an industry using IPij. By using this method, I hope you will get a better comparative advantage indicator from time to time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of competence and job design partially or simultaneously and which variables are more dominant effect on the performance of employees of the Dentistry Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This study used a survey method with descriptive approach. Subjects in this study were all employees of the Dentistry Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang as many as 36 people. The results showed that the competence (X1) and job design (X2) partially (t-test) have a positive influence on employee performance (Y) Dentistry Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This is indicated by the value of each thitung > ttable and probability value < level of significance. Simultaneous test results (F test) showed that the competence and job design simultaneously positive effect on the performance of employees of the Dentistry Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang with R value of 0.924, which means very strong. The independent variable which gives a more dominant effect on performance, namely competence (X1). This shows that the better their competence will better the performance of the resulting employee Dentistry Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of capital , asset quality , liquidity and operational efficiency on profitability in Islamic banks period of 2009 - 2013. The object of this study is the Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank BRI Syariah. The variables used in this study is CAR , NPF , FDR , ROA and ROA. Data analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression. The empirical results showed that partially the CAR and NPF had no significant effect on ROA. FDR had positive and significant impact on ROA. BOPO had significant negative effect on ROA. Simultaneously, CAR, NPF, FDR and BOPO had positive and significant impact on ROA with the coefficient of determination R Square ( R2) of 92,3 % on Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank BRI Syariah. The results of this study have implications for Islamic banks as a suggestion to improve the financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate implementation of Government Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) in Government of Palembang City. It is a qualitative research using primary and secondary data. Data obtained by structured interviews with the responsible parties at Palembang Government and by using LAKIP documentation of  Regional Secretariat of Palembang City. The analysis was in two steps that are Evaluation of SAKIP implementation and Analysis of interviews results includes data reduction, data categorization, data synthesis, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that overall the achievement level of SAKIP implementation of  SKPD is mostly classified in less good so it requires assistance in LAKIP preparation. The obstacles encountered which are; weak control and monitoring functions, limited budget allocations, lack of management commitment, lack of quality and quantity of  human resources, lack of coordination.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of accounts receivable in some of the plantation sub-sector companies and determine the position of the company by using the SWOT analysis and the BCG matrix. The sampling method uses is purposive sampling method. Based on sampling criteria, the samples were subjected to experiments are PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, BW Plantation Tbk, PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk, Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk, and Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk. This research uses a descriptive study based on secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Analysis of the data used is the accounts receivable ratio analysis. The ratio of receivables consist of accounts receivable turnover rate, the average amount of accounts receivable, and accounts receivable average collection. Each company SWOT analysis and the BCG matrix. The results showed that the average turnover rate of receivables PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk is the fastest. Average accounts receivable collection BW Plantation Tbk is the fastest. The average amount of receivables Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk is the greatest. BCG matrix results demonstrate that SIMP is a company with a market share position is relatively the most.
