Abstract

ABSTRACTThe information technology plays an urgent role in our everyday life and in the practice of education as well. When it is well-planned and prepared, it has effective functions as the media of learning. Therefore, for the sake of making an active and dynamic process of learning and accomplishing the learning objectives, the Arabic lecturers/teachers must create an interesting, inovative, effective and creative learning practices. The technology, media of learning, as well as learning strategy the lectures/teachers take and implement will seriousely influence the output of students’ learning. Electronic Learning and i-learning (iPad learning) are two medias of Arabic learning that use internet in learning process. If it is well-prepared it will automatically raise the learning output. Abstract

Language is a means for communication. It is a main tool to express ideas and opinions. When a person is born, he/she is not able to speak; and it is reasonable that errors always occures when one acquires his/her language. This acquisition is based on habits and positive reinforcement he/she receives from parents, teachers, or people around him/her. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to increase the students‘ ability in the sixth semester of the Department of Arabic Language Education Academic 2013-2014 in Intensive reading skill and understanding Arabic texts through the application of SQ4-R learning technique.This research is an action research and qualitative approach. Methods for data gathering: observation, interview, portofolio, reading comprehension test, and field record. Data were analyzed qualitatively by reducing, presenting and with drawing conclusion. Research findings: Aplication of SQ4-R endured modification by the addition of a learning stage, namely stage on finding of vocabularies and meaning in dictionary, that happened post survey stage. Through this action research, SQ4-R was modified into SVQ4-R. The result of this research shows increase on the students‘ ability in which their initial ability only reached literal understanding with class average score 48. The average score on literal understanding, 48 on prior to the action, 69, 7 on 1st cycle, 77,68 on 2nd cycle, and 78,22 on 3rd cycle. The average score on interpretative understanding, prior to the action, did not appear, on 1st cycle 67, on 2nd cycle 68.4, and on 3rd cycle 73. The average score on in-critical understanding and application, prior to the action did not appear on 1st cycle, 64.3, on 2nd cycle, 70.4, and on 3rd cycle, 78.09. Abstract

ABSTRACT Teachers’ unability and poor performance in teching practice is one of main weakness in Indonesian education. And unless supported by a condusive atmosphere in their workplace, the teachers’ teaching performance will not work well. The work atmosphere plays an important role and give a very significant influence for raising the teachers’ achievement. This research shows that the influence of work atmosphere to the teachers’ teaching performance in MIN Bandarlampung reaches 51,6 %. Keywords: Kinerja guru, Iklim kerja Pendahuluan

Abstract

ABSTRACT Communicative model of Arabic learning is based on an assumption that everyone has an innate language capacity known as language acquisition device (LAD). It is why language competence is active in nature, creative, innovative, productive and even it has a serious tie with internal factor; and, therefore, the relevance and effectiveness of activities of drill model—stimulus, response-inforcement–-is potentially questioned. Communicative model of Arabic learning is effectively applied and well exercised through the development of—what-so-called— tadribat haramiyah in addition to brief and short dialogs. Abstract

This article aims at describing the fact that the practices of gender-based discrimination occur in almost all sorts of our lives—in the practice of language as well—especially in what-so-called a patriarchal society. The women, as a result, face two kind of language discrimination: how the women are taught a language and how the language ‗treats‘ them. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe language competence of lectures is an important key for the success of Arabic learning in all levels—including in university level; because, in addition to the proccess of learning, the pursuit of knowledge and its developement is another academic necessity in university.
