Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the physicochemical characteristics of cunang fish bone gelatin(Congresox talabon) with immersion in weak acids (phosphate, citrate, acetate) in theprocess demineralization of cunang fish bones. Physical parameter analysis includes (yield, viscosity, pH), and chemical parameters include (moisture content, ash content, protein content). This research method is an experimental method using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments: G1 (phosphoric acid immersion), G2 (citric acid immersion), G3 (acetic acid immersion) and the data were processed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of the research on the characteristics of cunang fish bone gelatin obtained were G1 was the best treatment with a yield value of 8.89% and the analysis results had met the standards including viscosity, pH, moisture content, ash content, protein content, namely 4.00 cPs, 4.46, 6 , 39%, 11.76% and 54.74%.Keywords: citric acid, acetic acid, phosphoric acid, Congresox talabon, Gelatin

Abstract

ABSTRAK            This study aims to obtain the best dose of grotop booster for the growth and survival of freshwater pomfret (Colossoma macropomum) in a recirculation system. This research was conducted in November-December 2020 at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Riau University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. P0 (Without giving grotop booster), P1 (Grotop booster dose 25 g/kg feed), P2 (Grotop booster dose 30 g/kg feed), P3 (Grotop booster dose 35 g/kg feed), P4 (Grotop booster dose 40 g/kg feed). Freshwater pomfret fish (Colossoma macropomum) used measuring 5-7 cm as many as 150 fish with a stocking density of 10 fish/cm3 and kept in an aquarium measuring (60 x 40 x 40) cm3. The results showed that giving grotop booster with different doses had a significant effect (P<0.05) on protease enzyme activity, absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, specific growth rate, survival rate, and feed conversion. The results showed that the best grotop booster was given at a dose of 40 g/kg feed, which resulted in protease enzyme activity (0.1718 IU/mL), absolute weight growth (5.85 g), absolute length growth (3.65 cm). , specific growth rate (4.08%), feed efficiency (80.34%), feed conversion (1.24), and survival rate (100%). Key words : Freshwater Pomfret, Grotop booster, Growth

Abstract

Abstract               This study aimed to determine the effect of different KOH concentrations on the value of the deacetylation degree of chitosan from pensi shells (Corbicula moltkiana). The treatments given were differences in the KOH concentration of 40, 50 and 60%. The analysis parameters observed were the proximate test and FTIR. The results based on the standard of ash content, moisture content and degree of deacetylation showed that 60% KOH concentration was the best with the lowest water and ash content and the highest deacetylation degree. namely the water content of 1.46%, the ash content of 9.42 and the degree of deacetylation of 53.58%.Keywords Chitin, Chitosan, Corbicula moltkiana, KOH and  Pensi shells.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCunang fish is one of the sea fish which is rich in protein. The meat found in cunang fish is useful in making fish protein hydrolyzates. This study aims to look at the protein hydrolyzate of cunang fish based on dissolved protein. The research methods used were experimental and non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments used were different papain enzymes: 2% (P1), 4% (P2) and 6% (P3). The parameters observed consisted of analysis of dissolved protein by Bradford method on protein hydrolyzate of cunang fish. The results showed that the proximate levels of cunang fish meat was ash 15,15%, water content 73,95%, protein content 73,15% and fat content 1,93%. The concentration of papain enzyme had a significant effect on the dissolved protein content of cunang fish protein hydrolyzate, with the value of dissolved protein content  P1 was 7.30%,  P2 was 8.77% while P3 was 11.64%.Keyword: fish protein hydrolyzate, papain enzyme, bradforod

Abstract

AbstractSea cucumber is a species that has high economic value if it is used properly. The habitat that sea cucumbers tend to prefer is the bottom of the water with a substrate of mud or sand, such as those in Teluk Tempurung, Bukit Tambun Tulang Village. To find out the level of preference for an organism to its habitat, it is necessary to look at the distribution pattern of the organism it self. This research aims to determine the distribution and density ofHolothuria atra and also it’s ecological condition of Teluk Tempurung. The method used in this research  is a swept area (area sweeping) which is called a belt transect. This method was used to observe biota in a certain area. There are 3 transects for sea cucumber observation with a transect length of 50 meter, on each transect there are 3 plots measuring 5x5 meter. Observations were made in three repetitions. The type of sea cucumber found in the waters of Teluk Tempurung is Holothuria atra with a density ranging from 0.329 to 0.404 (organisms/ m2). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the distribution pattern of Holothuria atra in Teluk Tempurung, Bukit Tambun Tulang Village is clustered. Keywords: Substrate, Seagrass Meadows, Coral Reefs, Habitat.

There were three stations, namely Station 1 (inlet), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake), and Station 3 (end of the lake). Sampling was done 3 times one/week. Water quality parameters measure were temperature, transparency, depth, pH, dissolved oxygen, CO2, nitrate, and phosphate. Result shown there were 26 types of phytoplankton in Tanjung Kudu Lake, and 29 species in Parit Lake. The abundance of phytoplankton in Lake Tanjung Kudu was 18,720-37,700 cells/L, and the abundance of phytoplankton in Lake Parit was 19,760-45,500 cells/L. Abstract

AbstractResearch of the relationship between growth pattern and feeding habits of snakehead fish (Channa striata) was conducted in November-December 2020. This study aims to determine the growth pattern and feeding habits of snakehead fish. he method used in this research is a survey method. Fish samples were caught using bamboo fish trap in Teluk Petai Lake, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Catching fish is carried out every two weeks with 4 replications. The sample consisted of 88 fish, 50 male and 38 female. The gravimetric method was used to observe the eating habits of snakehead fish. Meanwhile, to determine the percentage of the largest amount of food in the stomach of the fish used the IP (Index of Preponderance) method. The results of the analysis of the growth pattern of snakehead fish are allometric positive (b = 3.059).Meanwhile, the analysis of feeding habits shows that snakehead fish are classified as carnivore fish with the main food being fish (IP 75.28%), insects (IP 20.64%) and plants (IP 4.07%). Keywords: Feeding habits, Gravimeritc, Growth Pattern,Index Of Preponderance, Snakehead fish.
