Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas faktor-faktor yang menjadi penentu  keberlanjutan lembaga Baitul Mal wat Tamwil (BMT) sebagai Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Syariah (LKMS).  Model yang dibangun melalui penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabelvariabel penyusun faktor  eksternal, yaitu regulasi, pengawasan dan infrastruktur terbukti positif signifikan mempengaruhi sustainabilitas BMT, sedangkan variabel penyusun faktor internal, dari lima variabel yang diteliti, yaitu sumber daya manusia, manajemen, permodalan, jangkauan pasar dan inovasi produk, hanya dua variabel yang positif signifikan mempengaruhi sustainabilitas BMT, yaitu sumber daya manusia  dan permodalan.  Aspek-aspek tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai tuntunan untuk meningkatkan kinerja BMT menuju  sustainabilitas lembaga keuangan mikro syariah. Hasil penelitian ini lebih lanjut dapat dimanfaatkan untuk merancang kebijakan-kebijakan yang diperlukan untuk mendorong pengembangan BMT sehingga secara luas dan berkelanjutan mampu menjangkau dan memberdayakan pelaku usaha mikro.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find the evidence for the efficacy of Religiosity on spirituality workplace. The research conducted by measuring the effect of employee’s perspectives of leader’s islamic spiritual intelligence on employee emotional well-being which mediated by the quality of  employee spiritual value. The data was collected from the employees of moslem small medium enterprises on cullinary industry in Surakarta. The 75 samples was analyzed by multivariate analysis (Path Analysis) using SPSS 18 Software Program.The Islamic spiritual intelligence is explained by the variables that reflect the Muhammad SAW characters: sidiq (truthfulness), amanah (trustful), tabliq, and fatanah (wisdom). From the empirical research reveal that the employee spiritual value significantly mediating the effect of sidiq and fatanah toward employee’s emotional wellbeing. Meanwhile the variable of amanah and tabliq has no significant effect to employee spiritual value and employee emotional wellbeing. Therefore the higher the islamic spiritual value of leader (sidiq and fatanah) the higher the spiritual value of employee and the better the quality of employee’s emotional wellbeing.

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate empirically the relationship between the Intellectual Capital (IC) efficiency consist of human capital, structural capital and capital employed and Islamic banks performance in Indonesia and Malaysia. We employ independent sample t-test and regression analysis focusing on the period from 2010 to 2014. The results suggest that there are significant differences in intellectual efficiency scores, where Islamic Banks in Malaysia have exhibited better VAIC  scores as compare to that of Islamic banks in Indonesia. While the regression analysis suggest that banks with better human capital efficiency tend to exhibit higher profitability levels. Moreover, sstructural capital is not related to Islamic bank performance. The results also suggets that capital efficiency tend to exhibit higher profitability levels both in Indonesia and Malaysia. The findings may serve as a useful input for Islamic bankers to apply knowledge based management in their respective institutions and in addressing the factors affecting IC performance in order to establish priorities and develop strategic plans, which will in turn enhance their future performance to maximize their value creation.
