Abstract

The goal of this research was to examine the relationship between Constructivist learning environments and academic achievementof Psychology among students. The hypotheses tested in thisresearch were: there were differences of academic achievementbetween students taught by constructivist learning environmentsand conventional learning environment. The instruments used inthis research were constructivist learning environments scale andconventional learning environment scale. The total of the samplewas 71 students taken from Tarbiyah Major Islamic education ofKudus State Islamic High School. Class A that used constructivistlearning environments and Class B that used conventional learningenvironments. The results of data analyses show that: there weresignificant differences between students of class A that usedconstructivist learning environments from Tarbiyah Major Islamiceducation of Kudus State Islamic High School and class B thatused conventional learning environments from Tarbiyah Major Islamic education of Kudus State Islamic High School on their academic achievement.

Abstract

There are so many verses of the Qur’an which describes the supervision. Although the verses does not specifically talk aboutsurveillance in Islamic educational institutions, but the spiritwhich is implicit role in the verses gives a lesson to us to conductsurveillance. One is Ayat Kursi who is the prince of verses of theQur’an. This study uses a qualitative approach method by libraryresearch. As for the issues discussed, the writer used descriptiveanalytical discussion. The study begins with the data and thendoes the analysis to obtain a discussion that can be justifiedscientifically. Results from this study is that this verse can be usedas a theological foundation in Islamic educational institutionssupervision because Ayat Kursi outlining the divine nature of God.If we believe wholeheartedly the existence and the nature of God in the Ayat Kursi, the supervision in Islamic educational institutions will go well.

Abstract

Islamic Education subject (Pendidikan Agama Islam /PAI) at all levels of education geared toward learners realize that faithful,pious, and noble. To achieve this goal, we need to optimally PAI rolefunctionalization through revamping the curriculum and effectivelearning model and quality. PAI’s curriculum should be developedin a comprehensive manner, through three activities, namely : 1)strategic planning, 2) program planning, and 3) program deliveryplans. In addition, the implementation of the curriculum requiredan application-oriented method to value-oriented and in accordancewith the circumstances and character development-oriented studentsin learning subjects Islamic Education subject (Pendidikan AgamaIslam /PAI) itself.

Abstract

Improving student affection abilities needs effective learningdesign. By David Kolb’s learning style models, this study aimedto determine the effect of the use of the ability of affective learningstyles of students. Data revealed by questionnaire with 75respondents at MTs Nurul Ulum Tanjunganyar. The results showedthat the use of learning styles David Kolb positive effect on students’affective skills, evidenced by Freg value 16.946 is greater than theF table for a significance level of 1% and 5% (7.00 3.97). Regression equation formed is Y = 85,825 + 0,526 X. Results showed the calculation of the coefficient of determination 0.188 or 18.8%, indicated that 18.8% of students level of affection influencedthe use of student learning styles.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore, from students’ perspective, how students perceived the service quality in International IslamicUniversity Malaysia (IIUM). A phenomenological method wasused; it is a naturalistic approach to acquire information on students experience about the service quality that they are feelingthrough open-ended questioner, interviews and observations.The result reveals that students perceived the service quality indifferent ways. The study found that the university is performingfairly enough in term of physical facilities and academic staff, butin term of administration staffs less than students’ expectation. Thestudy recommends university’s management to give attention to thefollowing issues: to improve the quality of staffs, to improve the security guard in this campus and to reform or refine the office of CPS and Finance. Although the values and positive attitudes suchas honesty, patience, simplicity and generosity was also inheritedby genetic parents, but education and infrastructure that supportsthe process of internalization of those values must also be taken andprovided to form a Quranic generation.

Abstract

Muhammad Abduh was an Egyptian reformer who emphasized renewal thought or effort to respond to the challenges that comefrom the West and the modern world, chosen identifikatif approachis evidence for a creative and proactive stance in solving variousproblems of Muslims. With indentifikatif approach it uses,Muhammad Abduh be seen as a reformer who thought renewalcharacterized by or having typology of modernist-reformist. Agendalaunched by Muhammad Abduh in order to carry out its renewal is;purification, reform, reformulation and defense of Islam. MohammadAbduh spirit of renewal at this time , may need to be rethought asembryonic restoration of Egypt in general and Islamic education(al-Azhar) in particular, so that the later ending especially Islamiceducation in Indonesia as a base capable successor even struggle reform ideals of Muhammad Abduh. Who knows Qibla Thought advancement and progress of Islamic education can be switchedand started from Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the depth of : (1 ) How does the material being taught character education in boarding school Al-InayahCebolek Margoyoso Pati Kidul ? (2) How is the implementationof character education in boarding school Al-Inayah CebolekMargoyoso Pati Kidul ? (3) What are the factors supporting andinhibiting factors in the implementation of character educationboarding school Al - Inayah Cebolek Margoyoso Pati Kidul ?This study focused on the implementation of character educationhow boarding school in Al - Inayah Cebolek Margoyoso PatiKidul?. This research includes field research (Field Research) with qualitative approaches. Data collection techniques in this study : (1) interview ( interview), (2) observation, and (3) documentation.Data analysis techniques include: (1) Reduction of Data (DataReduction), (2) Presentation of Data (Data Display) , and (3)Verification (Clonclusion Drawing). Implementation of charactereducation in boarding school Al - Inayah Cebolek Margoyoso Pati Kidul implemented submit items about religiosity, honesty,discipline, self-confidence, self-reliant, caring, responsibility,curiosity, and love for the country through exemplary method,advice, habituation, and memorization.

Abstract

This paper discusses the responsibility of education in responding to natural disasters issues that occurred in the last ten years. Thereare three focus discussion in this paper are: (1) Why is it importanteducational innovation in the midst of global climate change?,(2) How does the educational innovation model that be relevantin responing the various natural disasters in this country, (3) Howdoes the process of curriculum innovation begins to contribute inpart to give an alternative solution for areas prone to disaster associo-cultural potential of each educational unit?. With a criticalanalysis of this paper finally concluded some important things:(1) Education was held not in empty space because it becomesa necessity curriculum innovations included in the deal with theissue of natural disasters by strengthening the awareness of theimportance of disaster mitigation, namely the efforts to reducedisaster risks, one of whom through awareness and capacitybuildingeffortsfacethethreatofnaturaldisasters,(2) Oneformofmitigation is the importance of trauma healing, namely minimizing trauma and post-disaster fear either for himself or another person;(3) Every teacher must be able to portray himself as the developerof the curriculum and as an innovator of curriculum so that eacheducational unit capable of formulating their own curriculum according to the potential of history, culture and geography of each(local genius).

Abstract

This article presents a review of psychological approaches to Islamic restrictions on potential solidify why people needreligion, the historical development of psychological approaches,characteristics, basic psychological approach and application ofpsychological approaches to life. Psychological approach has theduty to interpret how humans explore the religion and the religionof Islam, not just dwell on personal matters or just individuals, butalso about the review sentiments of individuals and groups withdifferent dynamics. The opinion of various tapers that psychologicalapproach is not aimed at assessing the level of a person’s religiousbut simply looks at how a person’s discover and understand religionas a guide in his life, so as to apply it to religious attitudes andbehaviors in daily life.
