INNOVATIO is Journal for Religious Innovations Studies, P-ISSN: 1412-4378 and E-ISSN: 2541-2167, an academic journal published twice a year in June and December by the Post Graduate Studies UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This journal is open access and publishes Islamic studies research in several academic such as education, Islamic law, shariah, social sciences, and humanities. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of students towards English courses for non-English Department students. This research is focused on analyzing the need for teaching materials, desired teaching methods and student language learning strategies. This research is a case study involving 136 Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Islamic Religion Teacher Education (PGMI) students. The data was collected from respondents by conducting surveys and interviews. Survey data were analyzed using SPSS and Thematic analysis was used to analyze data from interviews. The results of this study indicateed that speaking skill is the skill that is mainly needed by students. Furthermor the development of vocabulary is also the main focus of the students. The results of this study with regard to learning methods show that students like mixed methods. In reference to the learning strategy, the students used variety and wide range of learning strategies. This research is very useful for English language teachers especially for the preparation of the lesson plan for non-English major students.]]>

<![CDATA[Islamic education during the New Order experienced a growth both quantitatively and in terms of the quality of the organization. The New Order policy in Islamic Education, for example: the government implemented Islamic religious education taught in elementary schools to higher education, madrasa institutions and pesantren began to be recognized, the provision of facilities and others. Government policies during the New Order era, although providing fresh air for the development of Islamic education, the stakeholders must fight and work hard to convince the government so that the existence of Islamic education remains recognized and has the same position with other education nationally.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is meant to find that qirā’ah is one of important factors to see Arabic achievement as well as istimā’, kalām and kitābah. Other factors are from the methods of teaching like: TPR (Total Physical Response), Silent way, and Community Language Learning and suggestopedia method. In this paper the writer limits the problem by focusing on teaching qirā’ah descriptive paragraph through suggestopedia method. The writer formulates the problem of this paper. The formulation is "How does the teacher teach descriptive paragraph through suggestopedia to senior high school students at State Islamic Senior High school (MAN) Model jambi”. This paper is significant because it will be very useful for senior high school students, Its hoped that when the teachers apply the suggestopedia method, the students can learn qirā’ah in more enjoyable and fun environment. This paper is also important for teachers. It is hoped that they will have wider and deeper understanding of teaching methods in general, particularly suggestopedia method in teaching qirā’ah.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out how the process of applying the muraja’ah method in memorizing al-Qur`an at al-Mubarak Islamic Boarding School. The study uses qualitative research, with data collection through documentation, interviews, observation and questionnaires. Key informants are Kyai Pondok Pesantren, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Ustadz/ Ustadzah, Santriwan/ Santriwati. This study found that the effectiveness of the Muraja'ah Method in Memorizing al-Qur`an in al-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School in Tahtul Yaman Village, Pelayangan District of Jambi City still experiences obstacles in memorizing activities, the existing constraints: 1) Lack of motivation santri in muraja'ah hafalan al-Qur`an, 2) Lack of time management and lack of discipline, and 3) Environmental conditions.]]>

<![CDATA[In the modern era, competition in various lines of life is getting tougher, education has not escaped the demands of the modern era so that the term education modernization appears. Modernization of education wants a learning model with sophisticated technology, focusing its expertise to be able to talk a lot in the field of work. Related to this, Salafiah Islamic Boarding School which is identical with its old, old education system is considered to be no longer relevant to the development of the times demanded to be able to maintain its existence with renewal efforts which certainly does not leave its characteristics as Salafiah Islamic Boarding School. This research took place in the Salafiah Sa'a Islamic Boarding School, Seberang, Jambi City. This study aims to determine the existence of the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School in the modernization era of education, what constraints faced by the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School in the modernization era of education, and what efforts have been made by the Islamic Boarding School in the era of education. education. The method used in this research is qualitative. The types of data used are primary and secondary. The data source is the informant associated with the existence of the Salafiah Sa' adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School in the era of education modernization, which was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that in the current era of education modernization, the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School 'adatuddaren still exists even though the number has indeed decreased but not too significantly. The efforts made by the Salafiah Sa'a adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School to maintain its existence in the era of education modernization are good enough, only it needs to be continuously evaluated by looking at existing obstacles, and the demands and demands of the times both in the world of education and employment.]]>

<![CDATA[The mixture of investment deposits and inheritance of life insurance money is part of the mudharabah (ordinary transactions) and is still an Ijtihadiah (an attempt to find the legal status of a case which is not discussed in the Al Quran or hadith) that is differ or khilafiah in nature.There are no explicit explanations and affirmations for these two problems in the Alquran and Sunnah. The specific discussion by the Madzhab Imams was also not explained, therefor the ulama afterward tried to find the legal position of these two things. This paper examines the position of mixing investment deposits and inheritance of life insurance money, after assuming that both are legal. The main argument of the permissibilty of the mixture of investment deposits and inheritance of life insurance money, through qiyas that both forms, are ordinary mudarabah in human relations. Percampuran deposito investasi dan pewarisan uang asuransi, dalam tulisan ini adalah asuransi jiwa, adalah bagian dari mudharabah dan masih merupakan kawasan Ijtihadiah. Dua persoalan ini tidak dijumpai penjelasan dan penegasannya dalam Alquran dan Sunnah secara eksplisit. Pembahasan yang spesifik oleh Imam-Imam Madzhab juga tidak diterangkan, sehingga menjadi khilafiah dan para ulama sesudahnya berusaha untuk mencari kedudukan hukum dua hal tersebut. Tulisan ini mengurai tentang kedudukan percampuran deposito investasi dan pewarisan uang asuransi jiwa, setelah menganggap bahwa keduanya berhukum boleh. Argumen utama bolehnya percampuran deposito investasi dan pewarisan uang asuransi jiwa yaitu dengan qiyas bahwa bentuk keduanya adalah mudharabah biasa dalam hubungan antar manusia atau muamalah.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the growth of sharia insurance in the province of Jambi, however quantitatively the people who have sharia insurance, especially those in the Pasir Putih sub-district, are still low, this is due to the lack of public knowledge regarding Islamic insurance. This question aims to determine the effect of knowledge on people's interest in sharia insurance and to see changes in knowledge that affect public interest in insuring field research research with a quantitative-descriptive approach with a sample of 100 people. Based on statistical tests partially it is known that knowledge that affects interest is evidenced from tcount 4,937> ttable 1,661 these results also support the theory that one of the factors that influence is knowledge. Based on the Model Summary, it can be ignored that the knowledge variable has an effect of 0.199 or 19.9% on interest, while 80.1% is from other factors that are not studied. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pertumbuhan asuransi syariah di provinsi jambi, akan tetapi secara kuantitatif masyarakat yang berasuransi syariah khususnya di kelurahan Pasir Putih masih terbilang rendah hal tersebut dikarenakan masih rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait asuransi syariah. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan terhadap minat masyarakat untuk berasuransi syariah serta untuk mengetahui variasi perubahan pengetahuan yang mempengaruhi minat masyarakat untuk berasuransi syariah penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif-deskriptif dengan sampel berjumlah 100 orang. Berdasarkan uji statistik secara persial diketahui bahwa pengetahuan berpengaruh terhadap minat dibuktikan dari thitung 4,937> ttabel 1,661 hasil tersebut juga mendukung teori yang mengatakan faktor yang mempengaruhi minat salah satunya adalah pengetahuan. Berdasarkan Model Summary dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel pengetahuan berpengaruh sebesar 0,199 atau 19,9% terhadap minat, sedangkan 80,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to analyze the effect of capital adequacy, financing risk, and operational efficiency on the profitability of Bank Muamalat Indonesia. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach, the object of research is the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR / KPMM) as a proxy for capital adequacy, Non-Performing Financing (NPF) as a proxy for financing risk, Operational Costs Operating Income (BOPO / REO) as a proxy for operational efficiency, and Return on Assets (ROA) as a proxy for profitability. The research subjects are the annual and quarterly financial reports of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia for the period 2012 - 2017. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed that CAR had no significant effect on ROA. Meanwhile, NPF and BOPO have a negative and significant effect on ROA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kecukupan modal, pembiayaan bermasalah, dan efisiensi operasional terhadap profitabilitas Bank Muamalat Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, Objek penelitian adalah Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR/KPMM) sebagai proksi dari kecukupan modal, Non-Performing Financing (NPF) sebagai proksi dari pembiayaan bermasalah, Biaya Operasional Pendapatan Operasional (BOPO/REO) sebagai proksi dari efisiensi operasional dan Return on Asset (ROA) sebagai proksi dari profitabilitas. Subjek penelitian adalah laporan keuangan tahunan (Annual Report) dan triwulanan PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia periode 2012 – 2017. Metode analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa CAR tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ROA. Sementara itu, NPF dan BOPO mempunyai pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap ROA.]]>
