Abstract

Flies are insects meperupakan fototropik is like light. At night off, but can be activated by the presence of artificial light. Fototropik properties form the basis for controlling flies fly population by using a Light Trap. Therefore, research on the effectiveness of Trap Light Lowering Population In house flies (Musca domestica) are particularly relevant to be implemented. This study aimed to calculate the population of house flies (Musca domestica) before using Light Trap, counting house fly populations (Musca domestica) after using Light Trap, counting the number of flies caught on Light Trap, counting insects can be caught light trap, calculating the effectiveness decline in house fly populations (Musca domestica) using Light Trap and calculate the effectiveness of light traps in catching flies. This type of research is experimental, by applying the tool Light Trap at the diner kitchen study sampled. Measurements of temperature, humidity, density of flies before and after the application of tools and light intensity performed at the study site. While the identification of the type and number of insects trapped done in the laboratory. The results showed that populations of the house fly (Musca domestica) on average before using Light Trap 3 tails / grill block, while the population of flies after use Light Trap is 2.67 head / block grill. Average flies caught 31 fish / trap. Insects that can trap the light caught; fly home 651 tail; 628 tail flying insects as mosquitoes 91 tail; ant 79 tail; butterfly 60 head; wasp 2 heads, spiders and beetles 1 tail. Abstract

A study concerning the analysis of Radiation Dose in Female Reproductive Organs In Examination Hysterosalpingography For Supporting safety Radiation In Radiology Services Unit. The purpose of this study to obtain descriptions of the radiation dose received by the reproductive organs at Hysterosalpingography examination and find out how much the level of safety obtained by the reproductive organs of the risk of biological effects on Hysterosalpingography examination. This research is a quantitative approach to measuring radiation. Amount sample used in this study was performed in 6 patients and Maternity Hospital Semarang. This source obtained using TLD dosimeters chips are placed on the patient's skin surface in mid gonads, right and left ovaries. The value of radiation dose TLD reader reading results are recorded in the tabulation of the radiation dose to the HSG examination. Furthermore, the total value obtained by comparison with a reference standard performed as recommended by BAPETEN that the reference dose on pelvic examination should not be more than 10 mGy. The results showed that the dose of radiation received by the reproductive organs on Hysterosalpingography examination based on exposure factors, the greater the voltage of the tube then the average absorbed dose greater, based on the thickness of the thicker body of the patient's body absorbed dose average lower, receiving total dose accepted patients receiving the lowest dose of 1 x ekposi 1.508 mGy, the highest 2.341 mGy. For patients receiving the lowest dose of 2 x eksposi 3,016 mGy, the highest 4,682 mGy. The level of security is obtained against the risk of reproductive organs of biological effects on the examination Hysterosalpingography is still in the safe level for the highest total dose received was 4,682 mGy (below 10 mGy).

Abstract

Transmission of infection can be occured  from the use of instruments that are not sterile, to break the chain of transmission of the infection, it is necessary to carry out the sterilization of medical devices with the correct procedures such as sterilization by dry heat or infrared can also with other methods. The purpose of this study to know the number of microorganisms and decrease the effectiveness of both the sterilization sterilize dental instruments. The reacherd was conducted in the laboratory using the method of experimental research, design research is one group pretest-posttest. The data have been acquired and processed statistically tested by Paired T-Test and Independent Test.Based on the results, the data is a decline in the number of bacteria in the infrared sterilization, but still found breeding of bacteria in sterilized tools. Decline in the number of bacteria in dry heat sterilization and no breeding of bacteria in all the tools are sterilized. The results of statistical tests Paired T-Test were both obtained p value = 0.000, so it can be said that the infrared sterilization and dry heat sterilization is effective in reducing the number of bacteria on equipment in dentistry. The statistical result obtained Independent T-Test p value: 0.626, which means there are no significant differences between the infrared sterilization and dry heat sterilization in killing microorganisms.
