Abstract

One of the contents in academic writing (thesis, paper, and the like) is abstract and it is commonly put before table of contents. The purpose of abstract is to give general view of the thesis, paper, etc. for the readers. However, those whose educational background are not English department, it would be a problem to translate abstract Indonesian – English, either in terms of  grammar or method used. And most of the students make grammatical error in connection with verb agreement, conjunction, missing verb, causative, redundancy, preposition, adverb of manner and tenses. Further, most of them use literal translation method in translating abstract Indonesian-English Keywords: Academic Writing, Translating Abstract Abstrak Salah satu isi dalam menulis akademik (skripsi, paper, dan sejenisnya) adalah abstrak yang umumnya diletakkan sebelum daftar isi. Tujuan abstrak adalah untuk memberikan pandangan umum dari tesis, paper, dll untuk pembaca. Namun mereka yang latar belakang pendidikan yang bukan dari jurusan bahasa Inggris akan menjadi masalah dalam menerjemahkan abstrak Indonesia - Inggris, baik dari segi tata bahasa atau metode yang digunakan. Dan sebagian besar siswa membuat kesalahan tata bahasa dalam kaitannya dengan verb agreement, conjunction, missing verb, causative, redundancy, preposition, adverb of manner dan tenses. Selanjutnya, sebagian besar dari mereka menggunakan metode terjemahan harfiah dalam menerjemahkan abstrak Indonesia-Inggris. Kata Kunci: Academic Writing, Translating Abstract

Abstract

The development of science and technology at this time was considered as a necessity, this happens because the application of perceived technology can make a job faster and easier. KJKS Barrah BMT is a company engaged in the provision of working capital loans are still struggling to make decisions lending venture capital. With the presence of a decision support system (DSS) that implement standard company policy to accept or reject the loan application of venture capital, among others based on the condition of Five C, i.e. how the client character (Character) , the capacity of the customer to repay the loan (Capacity), the ability of capital owned customers (Capital ), collateral owned by the customer to bear the risk of the loan (collateral) and the customer 's financial condition (condition) is expected to facilitate and accelerate the process of assessing the feasibility of lending capital, resulting in the presentation of information resulting from the decision to accept or reject the loan application of venture capital not experience delays for those in need . Keywords: Decision Support Systems, Five C, Venture Capital Loans  Abstrak Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi pada saat ini sudah dianggap sebagai suatu kebutuhan, hal ini terjadi karena penerapan teknologi dirasakan bisa membuat sebuah pekerjaan menjadi lebih cepat dan mudah. KJKS BMT BARRAH merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pemberian pinjaman modal usaha yang masih mengalami kesulitan untuk melakukan pengambilan keputusan pemberian pinjaman modal usaha. Dengan hadirnya sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) yang menerapkan standar kebijakan perusahaan dalam menerima atau menolak pengajuan pinjaman modal usaha antara lain didasarkan dengan syarat Five C, yaitu bagaimana karakter nasabah (Charakter), kapasitas nasabah untuk melunasi pinjaman (Capacity), kemampuan modal yang dimiliki nasabah (Capital), jaminan yang dimiliki nasabah untuk menanggung risiko pinjaman (Collateral) dan kondisi keuangan nasabah (Condition) diharapkan dapat mempermudah dan mempercepat dalam proses penilaian kelayakan pemberian pinjaman modal usaha, sehingga dalam penyajian informasi hasil keputusan menerima atau  menolak pengajuan pinjaman modal usaha tidak mengalami keterlambatan bagi pihak yang membutuhkan. Kata Kunci     : Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Five C, Pinjaman Modal Usaha

Abstract

One of the ability to speak English is reading in addition to listening, speaking, and writing. By reading ability in college students will greatly assist in the understanding of the scientific text books that guide the learning process at the college. Scientific understanding of the text book is very important in the success of the student’s graduation he attended courses that will ultimately accelerate the student graduation. Then all the need for analysis of reading comprehension problems faced by students in the college. Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Students, Higher Education    Abstrak Salah satu kemampuan berbahasa inggris yaitu reading disamping listening, speaking, dan writing. Dengan kemampuan reading pada mahasiswa perguruan tinggi akan sangat membantu dalam melakukan pemahaman terhadap buku text ilmiah yang menjadi pedoman dalam proses belajar pada perguruan tinggi. Abstract

The layout of the factory has a huge influence on the smooth production and production costs. One of the important issues in designing the layout of the factory is set up the layout of the engine. In this study used a genetic algorithm to determine the layout of the machine in a factory to obtain the value of the optimal material handling costs. This study uses a chromosome coding for the size of the different machines. This study solving problems at the factory layout engine which has 15 machines. Keywords: cost function, layout engine, genetic algorithm, chromosome encoding, the size of the machine  Abstrak Tata letak pabrik memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap kelancaran produksi dan biaya produksi.  Salah satu hal penting dalam merancang tata letak pabrik adalah mengatur tata letak mesin. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan algoritma genetik untuk menentukan layout mesin dalam sebuah pabrik untuk memperoleh nilai biaya penanganan material yang optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengkodean kromosom untuk ukuran mesin yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini menyelesaikan masalah layout mesin pada pabrik yang memiliki 15 mesin. Kata Kunci: cost function, layout mesin, genetic algorithm, pengkodean kromosom, ukuran mesin

Abstract

Dr.emi creative design is a software house developer of web -based applications that are located in Bandung, West Java. Production activities include the development of a web -based application projects, retail software sales in the form of a CD master, merchandise and some goods such as tools - office stationery. Dr.emi creative design has had two (2) branches outside the city, namely Subang, West Java and Central Java Solo. To make the process of buying and selling goods, now using a web -based application, but the application is proven to take quite a long time will do searching data. This is because the client computer in the branch to check online and directly to the server at the center. The problem gets more complex when the sales data that have not been saved to the database server, go away because the connection is lost. To overcome these problems, the sale of goods made web-based application that has the feature database synchronizer, to analyze and understand the system that existed before. So expect this software will further accelerate the process transaction sales and simplify the process of selling goods report. Keywords: Sales of Goods, Database Synchronizer, Xml  Abstrak Dr.emi creative design merupakan salah satu software house pengembang aplikasi berbasis web yang berlokasi di Bandung, Jawa Barat. Kegiatan produksinya meliputi pengembangan proyek aplikasi berbasis web, penjualan software retail dalam bentuk CD master, merchandise dan beberapa barang berupa alat - alat tulis kantor. Dr.emi creative design telah memiliki 2 (dua) cabang di luar kota, yakni Subang Jawa Barat dan Solo Jawa Tengah. Untuk melakukan proses transaksi jual beli barang, saat ini sudah menggunakan aplikasi berbasis web, namun aplikasi yang dimaksud terbukti memakan waktu yang cukup lama saat akan melakukan pencarian data barang. Hal ini dikarenakan komputer client di cabang melakukan pengecekan secara online dan langsung ke server di pusat. Masalah akan lebih kompleks ketika data penjualan yang belum sempat disimpan ke dalam database server, hilang begitu saja karena koneksi terputus. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, maka dibuatlah aplikasi penjualan barang berbasis web yang memilki feature database synchronizer, dengan menganalisa dan memahami sistem yang ada sebelumnya. Sehingga diharapkan perangkat lunak ini akan lebih mempercepat proses traksaksi penjualan dan mempermudah proses laporan penjualan barang. Kata Kunci: Penjualan Barang, Database Synchronizer, Xml

Abstract

Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) in development usually called classic graph problem. Salesman must a plan a course route to amount of city and visit every city once with entire distance shortly. There are several method that can give optimal solution to this problem. One of method is using computer technology that is Neural Network (NN). Self Organizing Map (SOM) Neural Network have a ability to self organizing input in to classification zone. The target of designed TSP with SOM method is to find a shortest route from the cities that must be visited. The result of experiment is to prove that SOM method could solved the TSP problem. Keywords: Short Route Finding, Neural Network, Self Organizing Map (SOM), Input, Cluster Abstrak  Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) dalam perkembangannya sering disebut sebagai masalah graf klasik. Dimana seorang salesman harus merencanakan rute perjalanan ke sejumlah kota dan mengunjungi setiap kota sekali  dengan jarak keseluruhan perjalanan yang sependek mungkin. Banyak metode yang diyakini dapat memberikan penyelesaian optimal terhadap permasalahan ini. Salah satunya adalah dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi komputer yaitu Neural Network (NN). Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) Neural Network memiliki kemampuan untuk mengorganisasi input sendiri ke dalam zona klasifikasi. Perancangan TSP dengan metode SOM ini bertujuan untuk menemukan rute terpendek dari sejumlah kota yang harus dikunjungi. Abstract

The existence of this system helps in accelerating the delivery of information to participants of certification and the Public Service of Education at District and Province, in addition to this information system provides the facility to document the transaction certification participants can upload files lack appropriate certification requirements are then carried out the verification process by the Public Service of Education at District and Province through a SIP-PSG. The results of this study, of course, is expected to help speed processing of data is flawed document, however, the use of this system has not been tested for certified participants so the system cannot be measured the level of success. Keywords: System, Web Based  Abstrak Keberadaan sistem ini membantu dalam mempercepat penyampaian informasi kepada peserta sertifikasi dan Pelayanan Publik Pendidikan di Kabupaten dan Provinsi, di samping sistem informasi ini menyediakan fasilitas untuk mendokumentasikan peserta sertifikasi, transaksi dapat meng-upload file kekurangan persyaratan sertifikasi yang sesuai yang  kemudian dilakukan proses verifikasi oleh Pelayanan Publik Pendidikan di Kabupaten dan Propinsi melalui SIP - PSG. Hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat membantu kecepatan pemrosesan data dalam pemerosesan dokumen data, namun penggunaan sistem ini belum diuji untuk peserta sertifikasi sehingga sistem tidak dapat diukur tingkat keberhasilannya. Kata Kunci: Sistem, Berbasis Web
