<![CDATA[The objective of this research was to analyze the effect of instructional methods and knowledge about the environment toward  environmental concern. The samples of the research were 60 students of biology education department, Muhammdiyah Metro University selected randomly. Data were collected using a valid instrument in form questionare of environment concern and test of knowledge about environment with. Data were analyzed by using ANOVA 2 x 2. Findings of the research indicated that the environmental concern of students who were taught by quantum learning and had knowledge about the environment better than those who were taught using in conventional methods. Therefore, the quantum learning method  should be taken into consideration to increase the environmental concern on student with upper group of knowledge about the environment.Kata kunci: Kepedulian lingkungan, quantum learning, pengetahuan lingkungan]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study were to increase the biological activity and learning outcomes through the discussion method. In the theory, discussion method is a method in the learning process so that students dare to issue his opinion, daring to ask and answer questions. The analysis of data showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes. The research was conducted at grade VII MTs. Muhammadiyah Margototo academic year 2011/2012. Expression increased the activity of 10.29%, the activity of your friends pay attention when presenting the results of their discussion to increase 24.02%, the activity increased 11.27% to ask questions, answer questions activity increased 16.67% and complete the task group activities increased 19.52%. On learning outcomes also increased with evidence of students increased to 24% complete.  Kata Kunci: Diskusi, Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar.]]>

<![CDATA[Studentsâ learning achievement of SMP N 5 Metro heavenât been accomplished thoroughly. Students were not active in learning process because the model of learning process is teacher centered, so students will be passive and it causes studentsâ learning achievement havenât accomplished KKM (Criteria of Thoroughness Minimum) in school. The purpose of the research that is to improve learning achievement of nature science of seventh greade in SMP N 5 Metro academic year 2011/2012. Based on research data can be concluded that the impelementation of cooperative learning method by snowball throwing type can improve studentsâ learning achievement of seventh grade in SMP N 5 Metro academic year 2011/2012. The increasing of studentsâ learning achievement that be obtained from pra-PTK until second cycle is 34,04%. Based on that result, the researcher suggests to teacher to use this learning method in learning process. Kata Kunci: Snowball Throwing, Hasil Belajar.]]>

<![CDATA[The purposes of this research were (1) to improve studentsâ learning activity by using inquiry method with biology comics for the students of VII A MTs Negeri Metro (2) to improve studentsâ achievement in learning biology by using inquiry method with biology comics for the students of VII A MTs Negeri Metro. The results of this research were (1) learning through inquiry method which uses biology comics can improve studentsâ activity during the learning process. From the data of observation, the students achievements increase from cycle I to cycle II (from 46.6% to 55.28%), it means that the increasing is about 8.68% (2) learning through inquiry method which uses biology comics can improve studentsâ activity during the learning process, the students achievements increase from cycle II to cycle III (from 60% to 76.7%), it means that the increasing is about 16, 7%. Kata kunci: metode inkuiri, media komik biologi, aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar biologi]]>

<![CDATA[The purposes of this study were 1) To determine the variation of which produces the best tempe manufacture of rubber seeds. 2) To determine the effect of fermentation on protein content in soybean seeds produced rubber. 3) To determine the effect of fermentation on the quality of flavor, color, odor, and texture of tempeh rubber seeds produced by organoleptic tests. 4) To determine the effect of fermentation on the application of research and the protein content of soybean seeds receive the rubber as the source of the material studied biology at the Food Biotechnology. Data results showed that the fermentation of soybean protein affect the levels of rubber seed (Hevea brasiliensis) is seen with Fhit (5.5147)> Ftab 5% (4.07) and test results of the Real Honest Differences (BNJ) to the protein content of soybean seeds rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) show that the treatment time of 36 h fermentation significantly different from treatment of 60 hours and 72 hours. The treatment time of 36 hours of fermentation produces the highest protein levels by an average of 8.5939%.      Kata kunci: Waktu fermentasi, kadar protein tempe, daya terima.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was the Classroom Action Research. The research was conducted caused the students lack in learning process actively. Therefore, the researcher applied Cooperative Learning Model Articulation Method and Time Token that considered the eagerness as the motivation for the students in order that they be able to follow the learning process actively. It is expected to have an impact of learning achievment obviously. This classroom action research has an objective to increase eagerness and students learning achievement of X1 class of Senior High School 1 of Trimurjo. From this research can be inferred that there were an increasing the eager to study of the students. It perceived to the activity of the students in pre-research towards the activity after doing research based on the increasing of evaluation product. The researcher recommend using Cooperative Learning Model Articulation Method And Time Token be able to apply in learning process in order to increase the eagerness and students learning achievement considered the time within the arranging of lesson plan.Kata kunci: artikulasi, time token, minat, hasil belajar]]>

<![CDATA[Students learning outcomes is a change of the students  based their esperienced, that is learning outcomes from learning process that the students doing while learning and appers from students showed by their score. This result got from students activity during learning process. The portofolio based learning demand students as self regulated learners and active in the learning process guided by teacher to gets learning purpose. The classroom action research was conducted in grade XG MAN 2 Metro academic year 2011/2012. <![CDATA[Students are difficult to capture and master the assigned material, this is because students rarely engage actively in learning. Aktivitas siswa dalam belajar kurang optimal karena sumber belajar yang digunakan umumnya terbatas pada guru dan buku teks, kurang melibatkan sumber belajar nyata di lapangan sehingga mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Students in learning activities less than optimal due to the use of learning resources are generally limited to teachers and textbooks, not involving real-life learning resources that affect student learning outcomes. Sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut, digunakan metode kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium. As an alternative to solving the problem, use the method in the laboratory practical activities. Keunggulan metode ini adalah siswa mendapat kesempatan menguji dan melaksanakan pada keadaan nyata, yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran teori. The advantages of this method is that students have the opportunity to test and implement in a real situation, which is derived from learning theory. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi. This study aims to improve biological activity and learning outcomes. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Based on the results of research can be summed up in a lab practicum activities can enhance biological activity and student learning outcomes. Saran peneliti agar mengimplementasikan metode ini dalam pembelajaran biologi. Advice of researchers to implement this method in the teaching of biology.
