Abstract

ABSTRAK Minat literasi harus dimunculkan dan ditumbuhkan sejak usia dini sehingga minat dan kecintaan anak dalam hal baca literasi akan berkembang sampai dewasa. Mengembangkan minat literasi dasar  anak usia dini yang utama adalah menjadi tanggung jawab orangtua. Anak yang mendapat dukungan dan bantuan yang baik dari orangtuanya akan bisa belajar dan mencapai kemajuan lebih baik dibanding anak yang tidak mendapat dukungan dan bantuan dari orangtuanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memahami secara mendalam dan mendeskripsikan peran orang tua dalam pengembangan minat literasi dasar anak usia dini. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara,  observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis  yang  digunakan  dalam penelitian ini adalah secara deskriptif naratif yaitu dengan menceritakan secara runtut data yang diperoleh dari lapangan. Data  yang  diperoleh  akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis  isi  (content  analysis)  yang diperoleh  dari  hasil  wawancara  dan untuk data  hasil observasi  dianalisis secara deskriptif. Proses  analisis data diperoleh  dengan  menelaah  seluruh data  yang  diperoleh dari  lapangan, baik yang diperoleh dari metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat empat orang  informan  yang tidak memiliki kebiasaan literasi dalam keluarga. Keempat informan ini hanya mengjarkan keterampilan literasi pada anak yang akhirnya hanya menjadi  sebuah  keterampilan sajaKata Kunci: Peran Orangtua, Literasi Dasar, Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Abstract The underlying problem of this research was the low ability of students’ in writing narrative. This was caused by the lack of interest of students’ in following the lesson and the lack of creativity of teachers when used the method of learning, so that students’ have difficulty in following the learning of writing narrative. This study aims to determine the improvement of writing narrative ability with the application of edutainment method in the students’ of class VII.2 MTs Nujumul Huda Batu Samban in Academic Year 2016/2017. This research was Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning stage, the action planning stage, the observation and evaluation phase, and the reflection stage. Data collection methods were used observation methods, test methods (in the form of writing narrative assignments), and documentation methods. The collected data were analyzed used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the learning process obtained results as follows. The results of the increase in teacher activity cycle I reached 90.28% increased to 94.44% in cycle II. In the first cycle students’ learning activity that was 87.72% increased to 90.28% in cycle II. Students’ learning outcomes also increased. The average learning achievement of students’ in the first cycle reached 66.77 increased to 73.37 in cycle II with learning completeness reached 87.09%. Thus it should be concluded that the used of edutainment method can improve the ability of writing narrative essay for the students. Keywords: Writing, Essay, Narrative, Edutainment Method

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini disusun berdasarkan penelitian yang berjudul “Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Digital Berbasis Kecerdasan Ekologis”. Penelitian tersebut merupakan penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar dengan output berupa bahan ajar dan kamus ekologis. Tujuan artikel ini adalah 1) untuk menggambarkan perubahan atau revolusi bahan ajar dari versi cetak menjadi versi digital. 2) untuk menjelaskan bahan ajar berbasis kecerdasan ekologis wilayah Samosir, Karo, Tanjungbalai dan Langkat. Samosir mewakili ekologi danau, Karo mewakili ekologi pegunungan, Tanjungbalai mewakili ekologi sungai dan pesisir serta Langkat mewakili ekologi perkebunan dan reliji. Hasil penelitian yang dapat ditawarkan melalui artikel ini adalah 1) Perlu pengembangan bahan ajar mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk mengakomodasi kecerdasan ekologis di tempat siswa belajar (dalam hal ini SMA). 2) Perlu adanya digitalisasi bahan ajar untuk efisiensi diseminasi bahan ajar.  Kata kunci: Bahan ajar, ekologis, digital

Abstract

Abstract This study discusses literary learning and its implications for student character education. This study aims to explain and describe (1) The role of literature in character education. (2) Implementation of character education through literary learning. The data in this study the researchers obtained through literature studies and from other sources that support. The conclusion in this study is that literature is very instrumental in the character education of students (humans), namely in language development, cognitive development, personality development, and social development. Second, literature as a cathartic media in literary learning can be used receptively (accepting) and expressive (the ability to express) in character education. Third, literary works that present various themes can be used as a medium for students (humans) to recognize and understand the quality of their own character or character. . Fourth, literary works that narrate and describe various types of character characters, can be used as a medium for character education for students (humans), which is to set an example of the quality of character or personality levels of characters that must be emulated. Through literary learning, students are expected to grow into mature human beings who are cultured, independent, able to express themselves with their thoughts and feelings well, broad-minded, critical, characterized, refined in character, and polite. Therefore, literary learning must be encouraged.Keywords: Literary Learning, Character Education

Abstract

Abstract The development of material is the basis for learning and a practical responsibility. As a basis, the material learns principles and procedures in designing, implementing and evaluating language learning materials. Associating with local wisdom will make students better recognize each other's culture. The development of the all-round technology becomes one of the examples of the times that certainly cannot be ignored by anyone. Students who live in the IT era will naturally feel more interested in IT-based learning. This engineering came up with ideas related to the development of teaching materials and the times. Developing teaching materials in the form of digital books today is the right choice for teachers because it will make students more interested. The needs in the world of education are very complex starting from the need for sources of knowledge, namely books, reliable teachers, adequate places, and other supporting needs. E-books are a pretty good alternative because of their digital nature so they don't use paper and only require a set of devices that can read them like cell phones, computers, laptops, and other devices. In the E-book there are several book formats that can be used. This e-book will be in the form of a book which consists of videos, images, text, audio, animation, and evaluation in the form of interesting questions based on local wisdom. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media gambar terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan eksposisi oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 48 Medan. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah 48 Medan Jalan Tangguk Bongkar X No. 2 Kecamatan Medan Denai. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B Yang berjumlah 62 siswa. Kelas eksperimen atau kelas yang menggunakan media gambar yaitu kelas VIII-A dengan jumlah siswanya 31 siswa, sedangkan kelas kontrol atau kelas yang tanpa menggunakan media gambar yaitu kelas VIII-B dengan jumlah siswanya 31 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa tes essay yaitu menulis karangan eksposisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji “thitung”. Hasil penelitian di kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan media gambar sangat baik. Hal ini dibuktikan berdasarkan perhitungan diketahui kemampuan menulis karangan eksposisi yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan media gambar yang menunjukkan bahwa 15 siswa (48.38%) mendapat nilai sangat baik, 9 siswa (29.03%) mendapat nilai baik, 7 siswa (22.58%) mendapat nilai cukup, tidak ada siswa yang mempunyai nilai kurang dan tidak ada siswa memiliki nilai sangat kurang. Sementara itu, hasil penelitian di kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan media gambar Kurang baik. Hal ini dibuktikan berdasarkan perhitungan diketahui kemampuan menulis karangan eksposisi tanpa menggunakan media gambar yang menunjukkan bahwa 4 siswa (12.90%) mendapat nilai sangat baik, 10 siswa (32.25%) mendapat nilai baik, 17 siswa (54.83%) mendapat nilai cukup baik,  tidak ada siswa yang mendapat nilai Kurang baik dan tidak ada siswa yang mendapat nilai  kurang baik. Hipotesis yang diperoleh berbunyi “Ada pengaruh Media Gambarterhadap Kemampuan Menulis Karangan Eksposisi”. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa Ha diterima, karena dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diketahui harga  thittung> ttabel = 3.67 > 1.670).  Kata Kunci: Media Gambar, Kemampuan Menulis Karangan Eksposisi

Abstract

Anak usia dini merupakan tahap usia yang  strategis dan efektif dalam pembinaan pendidikan karakter. Namun, hasil temuan dilapangan justru sering terlihat sikap anak usia dini yang sedikit banyak berbanding terbalik dengan yang diharapkan. Pergeseran nilai etika yang sering ditampilkan anak usia dini di lingkungan sekolahnya diakibatkan pengaruh tontonan di media massa. Melalui literasi media memberikan kontribusi yang sangat besar pembentukan karakter dan kepribadian anak sehingga anak memahami nilai dari sebuah pendidikan karakter. Abstract

Abstract This research is a research and development that aims to apply the Scientific Blended Learning (SBL) learning model through the development of valid, practical and effective SBL learning tools. Learning tools developed include: (1) Learning Implementation Plan (RPP); (2) Student Worksheets (LKS) (3) Handbook for Edodo Use; and (4) Content / contents of Edmodo virtual classroom facilities. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the analysis of verbal and visual text in the books of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang and measure the level of students' understanding of verbal and visual texts and their analysis. This study uses qualitative interpretatif and quantitative data. The study was taken by interview, observation and questionnaire. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that, (1) Halliday's transitivity concept analysis shows the verbal text on the process type component the number of occurrences of verbal text 11 times, on the participant component the number of appearances on verbal text is 11 times, and on the circumstance component the number of appearances on verbal text is 8 times. (2) Analysis of visual text in class X students' books using a multimodal analysis model by Kres s and Van Leeuwen which includes linguistic, visual, audio, gestural, and location analysis . (3) Analysis of the suitability of verbal and visual texts shows that the highest amount of conformity is in the display text of the exposition of "Drug Danger for Young Generation" and the display of the negotiation text "Bidding Letter", while for the least amount of conformity is in the debate text "Do Cell phones Dangerous? " And the text of the poem "My Cushion is My Blanket in the Wind" . (4) Usefulness text analysis of verbal and visual to teaching materials are detailed as follows : needs analysis on all teachers Indonesian (100%) and the rest of the student group limited field answered that require additional reading materials such as text analysis verbal and visual , feasibility analysis validation of subject matter experts on the assessment of the feasibility aspect of the contents declared "Very Good" with an average total percentage of 83.59%, the feasibility aspect of the presentation of "Very Good" with a total percentage of 91.25%, the feasibility aspect of language "Very Good "With an average percentage of 82.14%. The validation results from the design experts showed that the average percentage of all sub-components of the assessment of the feasibility of the design of reading material 89.58% with the criteria "Very Good" . Analysis of the results of responses obtained from teachers on average 97.22% with the criteria "Very Good" and students an average of 83.47% with the criteria "Very Good". Thus, this product is declared suitable for use as additional reading material for students and teachers. This research has implications that can be used by teachers and students as a companion to the learning process and improve the critical thinking of teachers and students.  Keywords: analysis, multimodal, transitivity, verbal text, visual text

Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ADOBE FLASH CS5 PADA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPLANASI KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 1 PADANG BOLAK  Riky Gunawan Siregar Program Studi Magsiter Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Medan Email: rikygunawansiregarpahu@gmail.com  Abstract This study aims to determine the results of the development of Adobe Flash CS5 Learning Media on Learning Text Writing Explanations. This type of research is development research based on the 4-D development model. This research was formed from design experts, material experts, Indonesian language teachers, and XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak. The results showed that (1) the validation of the material experts included the content worthiness of 86.5% in the good category, the feasibility of serving Adobe Flash CS5 88.5% in the good category, the aspect of Adobe Flash CS5 87.5% in the good category, the aspect of language assessment 90% excellent category, (2) design expert validation includes initial design 85.7% with good category, content design 82.1% good category, adobe flash CS5 typography 79.1% good category, and content illustration 79.1% good category . (3) limited trials get a score of 81.4% with good criteria (4) Expanded trials get a score of 80.4% in the good category. Learning outcomes producing explanatory text before using Adobe Flash CS5 gained 68.7 while learning outcomes producing Adobe Flash CS5 text using Adobe Flash CS5 gained 81. The difference gained 12 from before and after using Adobe Flash CS5. This research has implications that Adobe Flash CS5 developed will provide practical contributions, especially in the implementation of the learning process for teachers as additional learning media to provide facilities for the material being taught can be independent or classical. Furthermore, students can improve the quality of learning, especially in explanatory text writing activities.Keywords: Adobe Flash CS5, Explanatory Text.
