Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using gadgets on emotional intelligence and morals of students during the Covid 19 period at SMP IT Nurul Ilmi Medan. The research method used is the Quantitative Research Method. The population of this study were students of class VII, VIII and class IX, which consisted of 76 students. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The results showed: (1) There is an influence between Gadget Use and Emotional Intelligence because the value of tcount > ttable is 2.514 > 1.99167. Likewise in the F test (Simultaneous) on the variable Gadget Use with Emotional Intelligence it was found that Fcount = 6.321 and with a significance level of 0.014 <0.05. (2) There is an influence between the use of gadgets and morals because the value of tcount > ttable is 9.087 > 1.99167. Furthermore, in the F test (Simultaneous) on the variable Use of Gadgets with Morals, it was found that Fcount = 82.571 and with a significance level of 0.001 <0.05. (3) Based on the results of the analysis in this study by testing the hypothesis using the t test and f test, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of Gadgets on the Emotional Intelligence and Morals of students during the Covid 19 period at SMP IT Nurul Ilmi Medan. This can be seen from the t test between Gadget Use and Emotional Intelligence with a tcount > ttable, namely 2.514 > 1.99167. Likewise in the t test between Gadget Use and Morals with a value of tcount > ttable, namely 9.087 > 1.99167. Abstract

Teacher professional development and development must be in line with similar activities for education staff in general. In the learning process, teachers play a very strategic role within the framework of carrying out their functions and realizing national education goals, where students are future human beings who are expected to be able to master science and technology, be skilled, have national character and character, and become religious people. The role of the teacher can hardly be replaced by another, especially in a multicultural and multidimensional society, where the role of technology to replace teacher tasks is still minimal. Even if sufficient learning technology is available, the real role of the teacher will not be replaced. The history of education in Indonesia has recorded that the teaching profession is a profession whose importance is recognized and its strategic role is recognized for the future development of the nation.

Abstract

In implementing the group discussion method in lectures where students in groups present their assignments/papers in front of the class, were found several weaknesses such as not all student members of the presenting group mastered the material that was their assignment, only a few students were actively involved in the discussion. Furthermore, the material is not thoroughly by all the members, all of which have an impact on student learning outcomes. One way that lecturers can use to overcome the above problems is to apply the discussion method plus peer tutors. The choice of this method is expected to increase student responsibility in completing assignments and increase their activeness in the lecture process so as to improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the increase in the activity and learning outcomes of unit 3 students Batch 2022/2023 PAI Department of FTK UIN Ar-Raniry through the application of the discussion method plus peer tutors in the Ulumul Qur'an Course. The subjects of this study were 35 students from unit – 03 PAI study program who are in the Ulumul Qur'an class that teach by the researcher. This research is a reflective Classroom Action Research, conducted in 3 cycles. The techniques used to collect data are test, observation and documentation techniques. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that applying the discussion method plus peer tutors in the Ulumul Qur'an Course can increase learning activities of the students in discussing and working together and can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Currently, transformation has occurred so quickly, the Industrial Revolution Era was one of the eras of very rapid technological development. With the rapid development of technology, various knowledge, new skills, and new leadership have been born in realizing the competitiveness of an educational institution. This article aims to describe the leadership of school principals in the technological era. The writing of this article uses a qualitative descriptive approach (library research), by conducting a careful review of some material and leadership theory. The results of the study show that: 1) a leader or leaders in the technological era in order to bring a team to a better realm, must master 10 (ten) skill models namely complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, management ability, coordination, emotional intelligence , making policies/decisions, service orientation, negotiation, and cognitive flexibility; 2) There are digital leadership characteristics that exist in a school principal in the Technology Age, including: responsibility and innovation in order to direct the organization to transform towards digital; 3) The implementation of digital leadership in educational institutions, of course, must be carried out by a Principal with several stages, namely: The emerging, implementing, instilling and transforming stages, and 4C, namely; critical in thinking and able to generate solutions, communication, collaborative, as well as creative and innovative.

Abstract

Educators should choose a learning model that can generate students’ enthusiasm for learning and develop their potential so that they are able to solve the problems faced in life. Problem Based Learning is one of  learning models that is considered can maximize the students’ potential and guide them to have the ability to solve problems in life. Problem Based Learning (PBL) is based on constructivism and accommodates students' involvement in the learning process and problem solving. To apply PBL in the learning process, there are several principles and procedures that must be understood by educators. To implement PBL in the learning process, educators should follow the procedures or implementation stages. The procedure for implementing PBL is divided into several steps, namely: problem orientation, organizing students to study (in groups), investigation or data collection, developing and presenting work results and finally; evaluation and reflection. This PBL model certainly has advantages and disadvantages, so educators should study all things related to this PBL to maximize results and minimize deficiencies, educators should adhere to the principles and procedures for implementing them in the learning process because PBL is one of the learning models that is capable to answer the needs of students and be relevant to the demands of this century.

Abstract

Passive learning is learning where students have no curiosity, no questions and no interest in the results. The point is that there is no response from students. While active learning is learning where students have the desire to know more by asking and answering questions, needing information for problem solving, and investigating ways to do their work. In the research process, researchers found that Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject teachers who initially only used the lecture method without being supported by learning media innovated using LCD projector media in the learning process. Therefore, through the results of this study, the researchers tried to analyze how the results of using the lecture method supported by using LCD projector media in learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Islamiyah.

Abstract

Islamic religious education as a system is an activity that includes objectives, curriculum, teachers, methods, approaches, infrastructure, environment, management and others that are interrelated and form a unified system. The student education methodology must be adapted to the needs and characteristics of students, so that teachers can easily convey it to students, and students can also easily accept and understand lessons from teachers, because teachers can adjust to students' souls. . students with such learning. Methodology comes from the Greek language and consists of two words, namely "Metodos" which means way or way and "Logos" which means science. In short, methodology is the science (discussion) of methods or methods. Although that method itself is the most convenient and fastest way to do things. There are also those who believe that the method is the path taken to achieve a goal. The definition of method in Zakia Drajat's terminology is a systematic way of working to facilitate the implementation of an action to achieve a goal. From Arifin's point of view, the method is the path one takes to achieve a goal. The definition of method in technical language is different. According to Hasan, Langgilang defines the method as a way or path that must be taken to achieve educational goals.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Jeunieb are due to the lack of direct student involvement in the learning process. To overcome this problem, conducted classroom action research (CAR) through the use of Audio Visual Media. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student activity and learning outcomes by using Audio Visual Media for class IX at SMP Negeri 2 Jeunieb. The research subjects consisted of 30 students. The source of the research data was obtained from qualitative data in the form of data from observations of teacher and student activities as well as quantitative data in the form of test data on student learning outcomes. The results of the first cycle of research on the ability to understand qurban and aqiqah material after using audio-visual media reached a class average of 54% in the less good category. The implementation of cycle II was able to improve the learning process of cycle I. This was shown in the class average test scores of 81.73%. This was also shown in students being more active in learning, they held discussions to find good learning outcomes, were able to work in groups and able to understand qurban and aqiqah material well. Teacher activities in cycle II also show that teachers are more prepared, able to motivate students and able to explain material well and carry out their main role as facilitators and student assistants in conducting discussions to find a learning outcome. Based on these research results, learning using Audio Visual Media can improve the learning outcomes of class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Jeunieb.

Abstract

This article describes the importance of need analysis or need assessment in the development of a curriculum in educational institutions considering that the success of an educational program is highly dependent on how effectively the curriculum can be implemented. This article is expected to help provide understanding to teachers, lecturers, or certain parties who contribute to curriculum development activities related to the implementation of needs analysis. For this reason, two main issues are the focus of this paper, namely curriculum development and needs analysis. Matters relating to needs analysis begin with definitions, objectives, focus, and implementation procedures supported by several references such as books and research results.
